Several of our staff went with me today to look at a few camps that are available. We feel this would be a great way to expand our ministry outreach. What a big decision! We feel we have the right message, the right staff and this is the right time in history to agressively share the creation message. Please pray that God will guide us and provide the funding if it is His will for us to do this. If you know of any other camps that may be available please let us know.
Our DAL ministry is still going well in spite of a few of our buildings being closed down. [See previous blogs] Come see for yourself! This is a great time of year to visit Pensacola. We have had hundreds of visitors and have seen many lives changed. The battle over the buildings is proceeding on several fronts and we look for resolution soon so keep praying and writing to the people who can fix this even if they don’t want to listen yet.
Kent Hovind
Hello Dr Hovind: Peter Boyce in NJ (da guy who still hasn’t sent you the cross sections of logs). My wife Catherine has been a girl scout camp director for 19 years. She’s been the director of Camp Sacajawea in Newfield NJ (South Jersey) for the last 5 years. The G.S.Council rents the camp at modest rates to outside organizations usually during August. It accomodates 100 resident campers plus 100 day campers (200 is max for the potties) It has a lake and canoes as well as a junior olympic swimming pool, beginner archery course, an industrial kitchen and large dining hall. The main drawback is that campers sleep in platform tents. Its probably a couple hundred acres, I can find out all the details if there’s any interest. The GS Council besides renting it, has plans to build a much larger camp at another site and to sell camp Sacajawea soon. Although my income is still from the sawmill, I recently received my NJ Real Estate salesman’s license. (I was a broker years ago.) I’m now an associate of GR Pangburn Realty in Millville NJ. I’m required by NJ law to disclose that. If you have any interest I’ll gather the pertinent data and photos. The camp may lend itself well as a camp but as a DAL its too remote from the Shore resort towns. Closer to the shore however a DAL would be phenomenal as each summer the Jersey shore is flooded with vacationers from Philadelphia and New York roaming around looking for something wholesome to do with their children. I would consider some limited partnership if that’s what it took to put it over. I also went through a hell here over permits at my sawmill. NJ is the regulatory state 2nd perhaps only to California. Any project here as much as it irks me to do so, would require jumping through environmentally friendly flaming hoops.
I wept when I read about Paul. Please give my condolences to Marlissa, I’ve been there, the grief and mourning fades but never fully leaves. One day though God will wipe away those tears. Love Peter
I have 60 acres in Post Falls, ID,on the saddle of a mountain. Nice views.
