Update on CSE and Dr. Hovind's status.

We have heard from Dr. Hovind. He is faithfully serving the Savior in the Escambia County Jail. He has already lead at least two men to the Lord. The mother of one of the men called to CSE to thank us for an answer to her years of prayer.

CSE continues to operate: www.drdino.com. Dinosaur Adventure Land and the bookstore are still open during winter hours. We had about 120 visitors last week. The daily radio program on: www.truthradio.com continues as well, answering live questions on: creation, evolution, and dinosaurs.

We may write to Dr. Hovind. All incoming mail to prisoners is subject to screening and censoring. Dr. Hovind will probably not be able to answer letters sent to him. Pamphlets, books, CDs, or DVDs should not be mailed to him.

If you would like to write to Dr. Hovind, his address is:

Kent Hovind #135733
G203
P.O. Box 17800
Pensacola, FL 32522-7789

To those who do / will  write:

No poloroid pictures -  only pictures printed on regular paper are allowed.  No staples, no money, no stamps are allowed.
Several men in with Dr. Hovind would love to have pen palls including five new converts.  Contact the office, if you would like to get involved in the ministry.

We request your prayers for Dr. Hovind and the Creation Science Evangelism Team.

    Robert,

Thank you for the compliments, but you have yet to answer any of my questions. Which is baffling to me, all I am asking is; why do you disagree with my post concerning the statutes that landed Hovind in jail?

Why are you unable to simply convey your opinion?

Or give me a little understanding on which part of the Declaration of Independence you hinted would apply to this legality of this case.

Or cite the statutes that you claim would exonerate Hovind.

As for your question; “Are you a Christian?” Why are you asking me this? Do I have to be an American (a question from an earlier post) and a Christian in order for you to provide a straight answer to my questions?

There was no “move” on my part. I am merely trying to understand your cryptic objection to my post.

    “Dear McGurk, djhouk, baliset, jigufli,
As an American Indian I disagree with you.
and John Lake, good points but I still disagree – Can you guess why?”

    Regards,

    Hi John,
    Are you a Christian?
You write well and sound smart but your premise is still false.
You remind me of another evolutionist I wrote to.
    Nice move though.

    iago9067,

I’m not a tax attorney, but I don’t think Kent Hovind or any of his people is/are the Secretary of the Treasury.

I imagine TITLE 26, Subtitle F, CHAPTER 64, Subchapter D — Seizure of Property for Collection of Taxes could used be to collect the funds that the court found Hovind guilty of not withholding.

However, the government is utilizing TITLE 31 > SUBTITLE IV > CHAPTER 53 > SUBCHAPTER II > § 5317 to file liens against the properties owned by Hovind/CSE/etc. in order to collect the judgement of $430,400.00 for the “structuring” convictions.

That was kind of harsh to call me a hater, I do not hate Dr. Hovind. I enjoyed his ministry but I hate the sins that has got him jailed.

I am not going to argue with you on your tax protesting view. Right now you are in the minority and as long as the IRS is in business I will not be joining Dr. Hovind in jail but you are welcome to.

As I said before Jesus said to pay to Caesar what is Caesars and pay to God what is God. I do not remember this being a conditional statement.

Dr. Hovind is going to be judged on a higher standard for his position in the church. The church is not the place for undermining the IRS. The church’s mission was laid down in the Great Commission, to spread the Good news of the gospel to all nations.

The money that is collected thru the church is God’s money, not Dr. Hovind’s money. Since he refused to pay the people in his church as employee, the church will have to pay all employee’s unwithheld taxes, churches portion of the taxes and interest and penalties. This is a poor use of God’s money of having to pay out money that the church should not have to pay out.
He set a bad example as a minister of the church and gives all churchs a bad name.

As long as the IRS still taxes our nation we should obey the laws.

I do wish him well, and I hope he find some better friends who is not so willing to commit tax evasion.

    RickyLee,

You do have very valid points. One thing that I would like you to think over is that the IRS and Federal reserve are not legal entities and are not our Government, therefore what Dr. Hovind did in not paying taxes for his employees doesn’t conflict with the scripture “render to Caesar Caesar’s.

I think that you are a good Christian man and applaud your candor, but I believe you are slightly wrond in your statement.

God bless you and keep you!
