"I Sat Where They Sat"
“I sat where they sat,” Ezekial 3:15. Here we have a sad story. God had warned His people about their sin, but as usual, they had not listened.
Jeremiah had wept as he preached, but they didn’t listen. Nebuchadnezzer, King of Babylon had conquered Israel and taken 10,000 skilled craftsmen and leaders captive. Ezekial was with them. He saw upclose and personal, the look of terror in the prisoners eyes. He felt the pain of those whose entire life’s work was now destroyed as they faced a very uncertain future. Ezekial knew because Ezekial sat where they sat.
Having been in jail for two and a half months, facing sentencing this Friday, I can say there is no way to describe the emotions and the knot that develops in the pit of the stomach and stays there. While there are many hopeful factors in our case that may result in an acquittal, dismissal, or the case being turned over on appeal, most of the men in this room with me do not even have a glimmer of hope. They are going to prison for a long time. As I sit where they sit, my heart breaks for them. I pray for each one of them often and talk with them as opportunities come up each day. But sometimes, all you can do is sit, be quiet, and listen. America has rejected God’s law and His Word for the most part. So have many of the men in jail.
Robert was seventeen when he was arrested. He faces nine years in prison. His older sisters started him on drugs when he was only five. They thought it was cute to blow marijuana smoke in his face, so they could watch him get high also. Robert did poorly in school and dropped out. He says that he is a “stoner.” He looks about fifteen. He has no marketable skills and no training from his parents to fall back on. I weep when I think of his future.
John, a twenty-two year old white male, has no job skills except that of selling drugs. His mother introduced him to “pot” the day she got out of prison when he was thirteen. John has already spent six and a half years behind bars and is destined to be here again, as the only way he knows to make money on the outside is to sell drugs. He has no clue how to be a Godly husband or father. Where do you start to rebuild a life like that?
Sometimes, I feel like a missionary in a jungle tribe. Now that I have “sat where they sat”, I will be a more zealous soul winner, and re-double my efforts to reach children especially. The creation message is the greatest tool that I have ever seen to do this. I can’t wait to get back out preaching.
Please pray for us and Judge Casey Rogers on Friday morning, January 19, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Judge Rogers can rule in any number of ways. Pray specifically for an acquittal to be granted or that the Eleventh Circuit will grant our motion for release and turn the case over on appeal. The acquittal would be best for all involved.

We have visited with you, twice I think, at DAL. I have even presented your (slightly modified) slides myself on a couple of occasions in Italy. My wife and I have been so encouraged by your ministry, and its aggressive stand against the lies, and the misrepresentations of science which are so prevalent in our schools and society. My daughter Jane is praying for you, too. She will write you a letter this week. Hopefully, you will have it forwarded to your HOME!
We love and pray for you! The circle of people who know what is going on with you is expanding. At first, it was difficult to know anything, and we were only were able to find out very little through the Pensacola News Journal.
I feel privileged to be able to share in this blog and to see your notes, typed as they are – to everyone. You are writing your own Pilgrim’s Progress even now, even here! The story is powerful, and getting more so. The gross contradiction of a legal system which can do this becomes more apparent, I think, with each passing day. We pray for your ultimate vindication, and of course, your immediate release.
I personally think your position has been well-justified. I know you have thought about it a great deal since paying this price. I do not know what you plan to do regarding future actions, or what the ministry is doing right now – but I know that anything can happen, and we pray that good things will continue to happen – for you.
Seems as though the 11th Circuit is the same one which ordered the starvation death of Terri Schaivo. Was that Judge Greer? If so, and if he gets the chance to rule on your case, well – we will watch and pray. But we are also free men, who can write, and preach, and tell the story, and march as well – like Patrick Henry of old!

I will certainly be praying for you on Friday as I’m certain God will be watching over you. Whatever the turn out though, God knows what he’s doing and he has it all planned out. Satan is at work abundantly in this world today and certainly on some of the writers who have posted blogs against you and against God. Please don’t hold any ill feelings toward any of them though for you yourself and myself as well were once as they are now. I must say that I’m a little behind on the news, I don’t always find out what’s going on as it happens. It was the same way for hearing about your current situation. When I think about it, I found out because of you. I am a bible believing Christian but as of the beginning of last week I never led a soul to Jesus Christ. This Tuesday I received your topical dvd’s and watched almost everyone that day. While I was watching ‘Where’s The Bride’ it seemed that you were talking directly to me. I got to thinking about it and all week long I was looking forward to going to church and asking to go soul winning with them. Sunday came around, after the service I asked and was told that they were going that afternoon. I went with a more experienced soul winner and together we led someone to Jesus Christ. At that moment I knew what you were talking about when you said about how it feels to do that. After that my wife and I went to the evening service and got to talking to a bus captain before the service started about you and how you have changed my life. I told him that I have all your seminars, debates, and topical dvd’s. He was excited to say the least because he was using your dvd’s to reach children and then hopefully their family, but he only had a couple of them. During the conversation he said “so I take it you’ve heard what’s happening to Dr. Hovind?”. It was heartbreaking to hear the news. This morning I’ve been reading your blogs and I was thinking that if you hadn’t inspired me to go soul winning I would never had known what was going on. I just want you to know what an inspiration you have been in my life and that I thank God for the work that you have been doing.

Greetings from New Brunswick Canada. It is very hard for me to get news of you here, especially considering the sources. I can only assume you are truly in jail, and what faces you in the future will be a big test of faith.
I have distributed well over 100 of your DVD’s at the University of New Brunswick here in Fredericton, where I got my B.Sc. in Biology. The enemy is battling hard for young minds and souls, and his lies must be countered. We can do so little, but we can do something nonetheless. I will fight him and pick up the battle wherever I can, and you’ve helped greatly in that.
I recently viewed some of your “responses to critics”. Kent, I was disappointed in a way. I agree that anyone who sides with the devil is making poor decisions. But personal attacks on a person’s intelligence do not help to further the Kingdom. It pushes people away. I saw a lot of pride at work. I would consider a “highly intelligent person” to be someone who puts God first in all things, trusting in His provision and protection.
Jesus commanded His disciples to heal the sick and raise the dead. And yes, we must be prepared to vocally defend our faith. Please remember where you are not to get too caught up in the “head knowledge”, but to seek the secret place with God. Dwell there and seek His face. Please pray that God is taking any pride hidden or not hidden, out of you so that HIS plan is not hindered in any way. And He will bring you through so that His glory and majesty may be seen by all.
May His peace be with you and His spirit guide your walk and your words. I thanks the Lord that you are upright, breathing, and still able to encourage others and lead people to the Lord. This is after all, our greatest purpose in life.

RENDER THEREFORE UNTO CAESAR – HOW MUCH BELONGS TO CAESAR?
IS DR KENT HOVIND GUILTY OF BREAKING GOD’S LAWS?
How much tax ought to be paid to the state in terms of Biblical standards?
• Everything belongs to God even the money on which Caesar’s face is printed. (Job 41:11, Ps 24:1, 50:10,12, 1 Cor 10:26,28)
• Although the Law instituted tithing and offerings to God and the poor, God requires His children to give offerings generously and with a cheerful heart according to their own convictions. (2 Cor 9:7). One should bear in mind that as everything belongs to God, He can decide how much we can keep.
• From a Biblical perspective, God has given the government (the king) the right to charge income tax of ten percent. (In 1 Sam 8 :7-17),
• The tax that Jesus and Peter had to pay in order not to offend the authorities was minimal temple tax and had nothing to do with income tax. (Matt 17:24-27).
• God has appointed governments to do good, and on their side they have to praise those who are doing good and punish the evildoer. (Rom 13:3,4,7, 1 Pet 2:14). From this perspective man should obey the authorities and also pay taxes according to a Biblical norm namely ten percent only.

• Brother Hovind is outspoken not only against evolution but also against world systems and world views that are built on evolution.
• Brother Hovind has spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which starts in Genesis, to thousands of people around the world. He has already lead how many people to the Lord during his first few months in prison.
• The Pretoria Creation Circle in South Africa still supports Dr Kent Hovind and his ministry and we pray that God will give him back his freedom soon. However, God is sovereign and we pray that His will be done. Let us pray for wise governments and judges. We all know that God is love, but it is difficult to see light in these situations. Esspecially in the lives of completely broken people like those you have spoken about in jail. I wish God was here, in the flesh, or however he want to be. I wish he were here to set things right, and to offer dialoge and teaching as he did with Adam in the garden. Someday… we look forward to that day.

Your writing stirred memories and I wept as I read. Christ is the only answer and if the pews on Sunday mornings would trade places with you for just one day, they would have a clearer vision of the battle. Satan has people trapped. However, the church has the power to attack Satan’s citadel and bring down his gates of hell thereby releasing these captured souls. But a battle is dirty, offensive to our sensitivities, and invisible from our pews. My Sunday sermons are like carrying water to the ocean when thirsty souls are perishing in the desert.
And it is not just prisons that house the hopeless. It is sometimes oil rigs, inner cities, bars, resorts, casinos, etc. where the hopeless find themselves isolated from the church.

I implore every child of God to dedicate FERVENT prayer and FASTING regarding decisions made this week. Intercede for your brother and sister. Lift up their burdens. My personal prayer for them is that God provides deliverance, peace, and joy. My prayer for everyone who reads this blog is for compassion to fill their hearts. Compassion for those chained by their own sins and Satan as well as compassion for the Hovinds. Compassion.

I and my family support Bro Hovind without reservation, or qualification. I believe he reads the common and the tax law properly, and that the court is engaged in very iffy business interpreting the cashing of checks in any amounts as some sort of a crime. What right does the government have to know what checks a man makes anyway? Privacy seems alright for those who would destroy decency laws, but not for those who simply wish to use their money as they see fit, including donating it to good enterprises like that of Kent Hovind and his wife and family! People have vast freedoms to kill the unborn, or to starve poor sick people like Terri Schaivo, but not to preach the gospel as Mr. Hovind does, all over the world.
Has he not proven his sincerety? Is there some hidden motive that you have found? No. Or we would already have heard all about it. Were there a Swiss account, or another woman, the news would be filled with it.
Tax exemption for churches in America may soon be reversed, it is true. I don’t mind that so much – it is sad, but many churches do not forward godly works, and probably have never earned a tax exemption, not having solved any social or personal ill in any member. And once that tax exempt issue is resolved – then our preachers can begin to thunder from the pulpits as they once did! They can then have no fear to call a wicked sinner what he is, though he be the Speaker of the House, a Judge on a Bench, or the very President of the United States.
Praise God for your ministry sir!

I would like to leave a note to let you know that we are indeed praying for you, your family, and all of the people involved in your ministry. We are also including those in prison with you, because obviously the Lord is using you in that place, the same as any place He has sent you.
Also, we have noticed some of the critical comments, and would like to send our heartfelt encouragement. We deeply respect Mr. Hovind’s sacrificial ministry over the years. We have also enjoyed the entertaining way in which he delivers his message. We have not been influenced to look down on others who believe differently, exactly the opposite, we can feel compassion for their blindness. The sincerity of the salvation invitation comes through clearly in the video series. I think that Mr. Hovind has undoubtedly touched many who would normally be bored stiff with the whole debate, including men like my husband, and my sons. We are all interested in learning more. We are watching the series CS 101, 102, 103, and are now on 104.
I would like to say that my family has gone through something like the stages of grief after finding out about the difficulties you are going through, Dr. Hovind. We have been hurting for you, and my husband and I have been trying to counsel our children about the issues involved. We will be listening for opportunities to support positive changes like never before. We the people have let our government infrastructure grow to this point.
We appreciate your sacrifice to do what is right, and we respect your strength of character very much, Dr. Hovind. May God bless you.

I’ll be doing my bit to keep the momentum flowing over here, exposing the lies and proclaiming the truth. It’s truly great to here how you have been having an impact on fellow inmates. I’d ignore the negative feedback if I was you, some people can’t discern truth for themselves. Said this on January 15th, 2007 at 3:25pm:You have been in jail now a couple of months now and you still don’t get it. I wouldn’t spend to much time worrying about John the drug dealer. As long as John delivers drugs as he represented them to his customers he has not committed a crime of moral turpitude. He has engaged in a prohibited commercial transaction. This crime does not in and of itself tell you anything about John, except maybe he is not too bright. You however have been found guilty by a jury of lying,bearing false witness,cheating,and making threats to harm another individual. Count 58 is an eight part litany of your lack of any moral compass. Do you actually believe a judge is going to overturn a jury finding of guilty and give you a directed verdict of aquittal? The jury took 3 hours to find you guilty of 58 counts. That my friend is a slam dunk. I have kept a 6 man jury out longer than that on a single misdemeanor count. I am surprised they could elect a foreman,vote on all the counts,and then sign all the paperwork involved. Your only hope for appeal is that the prosecutor committed a legal blunder during your trial and your defense attorney objected during the trial. Even in that case they would just retry you and find you guilty again.
I know you have attended pre-sentencing meetings with the federal probation officers. I would hope that you showed some remorse there for the things that you have done. You have shown none on this blog. You may choose to remain stiff-necked until Friday,but at what cost? The $400,000 they levied was for the social security and withholding of your employees. You are still liable for all the previous years of willful failure to file taxes.
I am not a believer in your god,but I think it says somewhere that your god is just and able to forgive your sins. I am not exactly sure how this works,but I will give it a shot.How about the following;Dear heavenly father I come to you in humility and beg forgiveness.I was so full of pride and arrogance that I thought I was you. I am not you. I am a liar,a cheat, and a fraud. I have betrayed your people. I have brought dishonor to your name. Forgive me. The form might not be right,but I claim no expertise in these matters.Right now I wouldn’t worry about someone else getting right with your god it would seem like the time for you.It is easier to do prison time if you can understand the reasons you are there.

You have ministered to me and mine since getting saved over a decade ago. Shortly after gettig saved the Lord through John ch.5 brought me on a search of studyig a laymans foundation of creationism. And I heard a study on the radio and have blessed with the use of many aspects of the CSE ministry every since. And have used the Word of God with some of your material many times. To share the gospel with those in the work place and around the proverbial watercoolers.
You have been and are a favorite and useful teacher to myself and family, especially my 9 year old son and others.
You are our brother and family in Christ and we shall rejoice at the opportunity
to bring you and your situation before the Throne. Praying His good and perfect will be done.
That your name be cleared and truth be told.
That He may continue to use you to bless others with the ministry He has entrusted to you.

My family has found a great comfort in your teaching seminars. The lies in our textbooks, until proven false are many of the things that have had my mind ever questioning our Lord. I am glad to say that there is no more doubt in my Faith. I wanted to learn more about you and your work so after googling you I looked at your page on Wikipedia. Not a cornerstone of factual information, after reading you had been arrested I researched the matter further. I was saddened to find that it wasn’t some nasty joke. I found your blog site and emailed it to my whole family so they can keep up with your tribulations and continue to pray for your acquittal(sp). Thank you for your work and please continue to grow and understand God’s plan for you.
I can’t say that I know what it’s like to be in jail. However, my father has been a Corrections Officer in a maximum security prison for almost 30 years. For the first time ever, I was allowed to participate in a tour of the facility. Many of these men are, as you say, hopeless. They have no control over their actions cause once you get into prison there is no reform for your crimes. You have to become tougher and harder than when you were a civilian to survive. There is a reform program that tries to get the men to see their bad behvaior patterns. We had the opportunity to question a few of these gentleman about whatever we wanted. I asked how the food was. They all laughed and smiled saying that it wasn’t bad but they preferred their wives’/mothers’ better. I also asked the men if they thought like they were in control of their lives and if they believed in a God? Most of the men said that they believed in God and that yes they were in control. Later they admitted that their actions would probably continue to spiral downwards eventhough they wished it wouldn’t. I plan on talking to the Psycology teacher at our local high school(organized the tour) and making copies of your DVD’s to give to the prison and school libraries. I hope that the teacher will convince the Psycologist who works with these men to watch your work and hopefully provide another avenue for reform and repentance. I want to be the salt of the earth as you quote so often!

We know that the Lord has rekindled and started amazing bonfires within your heart and soul to reach more people for Christ. I don’t know where to start. I’m not sure you deserve to be in jail, but you really need to wake up and realize all the trouble you’re causing. If you haven’t learned your lesson by now… well, maybe incarceration is the only reasonable option at the moment.
Whenever you are set free, it’s pretty obvious to most folks that you need to seriously re-evaluate your ministry. You should above all stop spreading misinformation about various scientific theories until such time that you learn enough to speak intelligently about them. Maybe go back to school–and I mean an *accredited* school. Whatever you choose, though, please just do something with your life that doesn’t hurt so many other people.

Said this on January 16th, 2007 at 12:27am:I am in constant awe as to how our Lord uses troubled events in our lives to mold us to his glory and benefit of many we have the opportunity to influence.
Your instructional videos on Creation have helped my children and I understand some of the questions we have not been able to have answered by ‘experts’. We were at the Grand Canyon last month and poised one of these questions to the resident ranger providing the lecture as to why Mars has a larger canyon than what we were viewing. I should have recorded his unexpected response for you.
Our move to the West was certainly led by the Lord and has now provided the time I need to spend with my children and their homeschool curriculum. More importantly, there is now time to work on a new project in placing the KJV 1611 in the new dotmobi format for web-enabled cell phones and PDAs (http://kjv1611.mobi). I hope to reach those who are not able to carry a Bible in public, such as those in Saudi Arabia, but are able to easily use their mobile devices to access any verse they need. What a great platform to use in answering some of the questions you have brought out. You have been a great inspiration.
Thank you so much for your ministry. We watch each video at least twice before returning it to the church for the next one. You should hear my children in their excited discussions on a biblical perspective with their new found friends in the neighborhood. I just learned about your situation tonight. We at The Delusion Resistance are praying for you. I knew immediately that you’d be busy evangelizing at your new temporary home. You’re such a blessing.
It is so sad to see that our society has decayed so much that a person can be given the equivalent to two or three life sentences over money issues, while murderers can be set free at the slightest legal technicality. I guess that anything is possible in Babylon these days.
I am saddened to see how those who claim to be brothers and sisters in Messiah are now just like the mob who stood at the gates and shouted “crucify Him” when Yeshua was on trial. They claim that you robbed the government and are basically saying, just like that same mob, “we have no God but Caesar.” The parallels are quite interesting. Sad how they claim us when we’re popular and turn when the heat is on.
Kent, I want to share a wonderful story about how your material influenced so many. I bought and sent copies of your seminars to a brother in South Africa. He had his son’s watch the videos. His one son was so mad that he had been taught lies all of these years took the videos to school and demanded that a series of assemblies be held so that he could show the videos. He did and it this started a small revival in his school. A lot of souls came to Yeshua because of this.
Kent, I’m dedicated to getting the word out concerning your current situation so that people can pray for you, and also so that they can see that the notion of living in a free society is but a myth. The only freedom that anyone can have is freedom in Yeshua Ha Mashiach. However Yahweh decides to work this whole thing, I know that you’ll be about HIS work. The enemy is so foolish. He makes it so that you get thrown into prison for being faithful to Yeshua, and now you’re in setting even more captives free. Thanks for your faithfulness. I’m sure that you realise that your ministry has a global audience, not least of all here in the UK. I have been given a set of your DVD’s which we’ve shared amongst those of our church fellowship to great advantage both practically and spiritually. We find that the situation here is becoming steadily worse, with loose moral education and enforcement of evolutionary teaching in our schools, colleges and universities. It is good to have the resource of your DVD’s and web-site to make sure that we are taught ourselves as Christians, ready always ‘to give an answer for the hope which lies within us’.
We have found it hard to find out what exactly has been happening with your current situation, but have managed to find this site which has been a real encouragement. The press seems very biased negatively (surprise, surprise!). I saw an article that used the fact you believe in a literal flood to undermine you and make you look somehow ‘mad’ – I thought, ‘hey, so do we’!!!! What a great God we worship.

But as I was reading devotions in the morning the Lord showed a couple of verses and they reminded me of the situation you and your wife are going through.
Philippians 1:12-14 I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to ADVANCE THE GOSPEL, so that it has become known throughtout the whole imperial guard and to all the rest that my imprisonment is for Christ. And most of the brothers, having become convident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
Our family has kept you in our prayers and are continuing to pray for you.
It is sad to see people who do more serious crimes get a couple of years in jail but taxes can get life? It comes to show you what are nation is turning out to be. It is no longer a nation serving God but one serving the god of this world.
Thank You so much for building all of us ( people in the Lord and people whom you have witnessed to) up in the Lord. We just want to let you know that we are praying for you here in the UK and to thank you for the way in which you have helped us over the last 5 years. We have have been so encouraged and empowered by your DVDs and it was a privilege to be able to travel to hear your ministry in person at Mildenhall in 2005. You may remember speaking Russian to the Russian student we brought with us – she was very impressed and challenged as she had never heard teaching on creation before.
I have taught a couple of creation series at church using your material and my wife has used it to great effect teaching the teenagers connected to our church. One (from the old East Germany whose family were from behind the Iron Curtain) has become a fired up Christian as a direct result and is getting baptised back in Germany very soon! He was planning on following the family and becoming a vet, but is now giving his life to full-time ministry. Others have been inspired in their faith (our daughter who was intending to be a solicitor is now moving into training for full-time service for God) or have begun to question the evolution lie that they had been taught was fact and are becoming more open to God. We will definitely be using your material again this year.
We look forward to iviting you to come and speak in Swindon when you are released.

What a blessing you have been to me and my faith. I’ve been in church all my life. My Father is a chemist, works all over the world in textiles. Logic is the desired way in our family. Though we are all saved by the Grace of Jesus Christ, I inherited the analytical science mind of my Father. I desire proof before claiming fact. I prefer deductive reasoning over that which can’t be be proven by man. The battle that rages against my fleshly mind and my faith used to be a daily occurence. Finding your site and using your references has satisfied my ’search’ for the truth and now to me it seems science is just another well oiled machine Satan uses to keep the world ignorant of the truth. I have ordered your CDs and intend to share your teachings with all the children of our church. I was called to preach July 2006 and have been running a bus ministry full of public school children for the past 2 years. Every Wednesday they enter our church and we try to give them the gospel, but what is our one Wednesday night to their 5 days a week in school? Hopefully your material will assist in that.

I am a medical doctor who lives in a small town in South Africa’s Northern Cape Province. My husband and I are both born-again Christians and I personally have loved science all my life. Through friends we got a hold of your seminar on DVD about a year ago and life as a Christian has not been the same since. I used to believe the “gap theory” simply because I never knew about a sensible alternative. Your teaching has been a liberating experience and has given me confidence to share the Young Earth Creationist view with other people. It came as quite a shock to me to learn about your incarceration. I have no knowledge of American tax laws and the charges against you makes no sense to me, but I choose to believe the words of Jesus in Matt.7:16-18:”Ye shall know them by their fruits … A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.” I have seen and tasted the fruit of your ministry, Dr. Hovind, and I know that it is good and Godly. We live in Warner Robins GA (middle GA) and were planning a trip over Thanksgiving until I found it what was going on. We were able to go the week after Christmas to Dinosaur Adventure Land and were in awe of what God has done through your servant hood. We didn’t know what else to do after 6 hrs. of being there, we just couldn’t get ourselves to leave. To see what God has built and has been glorified through is being torn apart by the darwinistic marxist brain washed liberals of our day. Dr. Hovind, God is all over you in His blessings, I can’t imagine the stillness that you are dealing with and having a Uncle working as a prison guard, hearing his stories, I can’t believe that you are where you are. We have a band of people here in Middle GA who are praying for you everday and tonight will be an all night prayer. I wish I could just take your place right now in that prison and God enable your freedom as you have spent your Free Will in every moment of God’s service. I just know that you are seriously reaching so many more right now than I am capable of with my knowledge. Sure, the Holy Spirit moves through us but I am hard at trying to learn as much as I can and I’m forgetting things about as fast as I read them. You petition for health care aid with $42,000 concealed in your walls, and people still support and pray for you? Whether you believe it is deserved or not, justice will be served tomorrow. I can only hope that the good people that have prayed for you realize that you’ve betrayed them by living a life of greed. The court gave a sentence of 10 years imprisonment, 3 years of supervised release, and will pay a $200 fine, $5800 in special monetary assessments, restitution $604874.87, and costs of prosection $7078.24 to Kent Hovind. All that adds to $604,874.11. The Republican controled Congress passed laws blocking federal judges from using much personal judgement, or showing leniency. Further, under conservative laws federal prisoners are forced to serve the majority of their sentence. With the maximum time off for “good behavior,” Kent Hovind will stay in prison for at least 8 1/2 years with 1 1/2 years added to his parole. That is under 3% of the theoretical maximum sentence which suggests that Jo Hovind could expect around a 7 year sentence, and fines and fees add to the rest of the federal tax owed.

We had no idea about your present situation and no one revealed anything about the past 6 months. We went online and learned – via Wikipedia (not my favorite source) – about your present circumstance.
We are such supporters of all you have done over the years and will be praying for God’s will. We want to see the judicial system treat you with the fairness you deserve.

As you probably know already our corrupt court system with its corrupt servants has sentenced our good doctor to 10 years in prison. We know that this has been a difficult trial on Brother Kent, it would be for anyone of us, but we have to stand by him. I among many others of you both prayed diligently and fasted for him. Obviously God has allowed this to happen for a reason, but this does not mean that God wants the rest of the Church to give up! We must stand by our brothers and sisters in Christ as Jesus stood for us in all things. Dr.Hovind is our brother and a spiritual father like Paul to some of us. He has brought so many to Christ. I can personally vow for the way he changed my life through his Godly interpretation of God’s Word with all of its amazing science and majesty. Brother Hovind needs our help. Now, I am no lawyer, but I know that if we pull together we may be able to do something. Whether we raise money for him, protest for him, and above all pray for him…we at least need to do something. My name is Vincent and I will constantly check back on this blog site for any ideas that you may have. All that I ask is that you and I, my brothers and sisters in Christ pull together now at the time when we are most needed to stand up for what is right. We are the salt of the world, we are the light of the world! I know that there is no way that we can stop all of the demonic powers around us, but we may be able to reverse this one…help us God! Kent, you changed my focus in video number five. You were expanding on the corruption as I had seen bits and pieces before my salvation. I thought you were taking me back into that mind set, when you said, “now what should we do?” You encouraged me to get out there and save souls. That was very inspiring. That is what God used you to tell me. God may be using you for a different mission. Keep hearing God is the only advice that I can give you. Lay out the fleeces get His direction, and keep your stubborness for God.
I must say before I close, that some of your opposition on the Blog inspired my username. I chose 1 cor 2:14, b/c these people remind me of that verse. These people need the Holy Spirit really bad. You see, when you are in a foreign country trying to understand what is going on around you, it is very difficult. The jibber jabber of language is meaningless or foolishness. In order for a foreigner to function efficiently in a foreign country he needs to have an interpretor. People who do not have their sins forgiven via the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit as guide, interpretor, councilor, convictor etc see Christianity as foolishness. I challenge you “opposers”. Take a look at yourself. Do you sin? Have you sinned? Have you accepted the only available offer of forgiveness offered by God via His Son? Do you understand the “gospel message” of the Bible? Is the Bible a sleeping pill, or an inspiration. Maybe you should look at your death and what the future holds for you. Depending on what you do with this challenge will allow you to understand the Bible, Christians and Christianity or not. It will also allow you to see the truth of whats going on in the World. Whats with the Israeli’s and Moslems? Whats the Iraqi thing about anyhow. Why is this war so important that we will sacrifice thousands for the cause. Is that part of the world the only place where innocents are oppressed by mean dictators. Why do we focus on the middle east. Why are we not focussed on Darfur or other oppressed societies? Bow the knee to the creator, and allow Him to open the eyes of your understanding. God might even reveal to you what really happended on Christmas eve when Woodrow Wilson was president of the USA. Is the Federal Reserve Bank really federal, or is it a private institution? Are there tax laws requiring taxes on income? Once you understand what is happening and why, then maybe God will give you an assignment to do. God may have my bro Kent rock the Monetary boat. Some may be in the state legislature rocking the education (evolution vs creation )boat. Some maybe teaching kids Sunday school class giving them the true choices between fantasty and fiction. Are you animals are God’s children.
God has a reason and a plan for all of us. We were not all created to do the same thing, However all of us were created to do something for God to bless Him and us both.

When Jeremiah was not listened to, and the people threw him into prison, or jail – - (for one reason or another) – - yes, Jeremiah had troubles – - BUT, remember – - the country that tossed him into jail ended up with far WORSE troubles.
All joking aside – - in my opinion, you are in a somewhat safe place, somewhat protected from the coming troubles….

I suggest that all of the Laodiceans here in America WAKE UP! Choose your side. Is it going to be God or Satan. You have the free will to choose your Lord and Kent has made his choice. If your are a Christian, it is time to put off being on the fence. That is what the above verses are about. This is one of my favorite passages from the entire Bible. It has the power to make me weep just about every time that I read it (Rev. 3-20). That verse shows just how much the Lord wants to be in your life, he is always right there at the door to your heart, always there for you.
Christian, again choose your side. I’ve chosen to stand with Kent and the Lord.
He that hath an ear, let him here what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

I’m extremely saddened by these events. I have long enjoyed the scriptural, knowledgeable, simple and light hearted presentation of Dr. Hovind. I serve as a pastor and our church has been showing the seminar videos for the past month. I just found out last night about the conviction. While I don’t understand all the details it appears the charges shady. CSE is a tremendous assest to the Faith. Our prayers are with the Hovinds and the ministry of CSE.
