Update from Bunk Three #11

“Written through the Eyes of Cain to God”
Dear God,
I think You made a huge mistake.  Yesterday, I feeling grateful for the nice world you made and I wanted to show my appreciation by bring you a sacrifice.  I had worked hard in my garden all summer to raise beautiful fruits and vegetables, just for this day.  And You didn’t even take notice!  You could of at least said something!

I know that you are busy and all, but ignoring me hurt my feelings, God.  Alot!  When I was little, I would color pictures for Mom and Dad.  They weren’t real good, but they showed my heart.  My parents always made me feel special for trying.  Mom was especially good at encouraging me.  She would say to Adam, “Look Dad, what Cain drew for us.  Isn’t it beautiful?”  God, I know You made the world and all, but You could learn a few things about how to treat people from my mom!  You hurt my feelings, God.  I hurt even more when You made such a big deal out of my brother’s offering.  I can’t believe that you would get some kind of sick enjoyment out of seeing an innocent lamb killed and burned up.  Abel didn’t work for his gift at all.  I worked all summer.  I get mad every time I think about it.  I still think you made a mistake God.  You need to think about it one more time.

There goes Abel now.  I’ll go talk to him about it, too.  I know I can change his mind if he will listen…..

“Written through the Eyes of Abel to God”
Dear God,

I don’t understand what happened.  Dad told us all about the garden of Eden and about he and Mom sinned.  From what Dad says, it was an incredible place.  He also told us how they had to kill a lamb for their sins.  Dad explained how if we ever brought a sacrifice to you, it had to be a lamb.
So that is what I did.

My brother Cain worked hard to raise the best fruits and vegetables to bring to you.  Yet you rejected his offering.  I think I understand why.  But what I don’t understand is why he is mad at me.  I did what you said Lord.  Cain is my brother, Lord.  It doesn’t make sense why he would want to hurt me over this.  He sure seems to be upset.  Well, here he comes…..  I will try to talk to him one more time.  We need to talk later, God.

Hey Cain!  How are you doing?….

Little did Able realize that he would be the first of many millions who would suffer in the great war between the only two religions on Planet Earth.  The “do” religion, and the “done” religion.  The “do” people believe that God will accept them based on what they do to please Him.  While the items on the list may vary from group to group, a list remains.  The “done” religion knows that God accepts them based what is done by an innocent substitute.

Are you trusting your works to go to heaven, or are you trusting Jesus Christ and the cross of Calvary?

    Dear Kent:

AMEN, and again I say AMEN. How simple it is, and yet too simple for many. And that is why we are treated this way by the ‘Cains’ of this world. We must see things God’s Way, not our own. May God continue to bless you Kent, in whatever ministry God has in store for you. What a blessing you have been in my life! Thank you for being obedient to God, wherever you are.

I follow your distinction between the “do” and “done” religions; however, I don’t understand how this example illustrates that difference. Able, along with Cain, clearly had to “do” something (sacrifice a lamb). The real difference between the two appears to be that Able “did” the right thing, while Cain did the wrong one.

    Dear Kent,

Remember me from the Calvery Chapel in Appleton WI, 2005? I asked where you got the pictures of the ocean floor. I was a big tall guy. I just want to tell you how you have brought me closer to God since that day. When you ended your talk that weekend, you ended with – What have you done for the Lord today? That really sunk into my soul and I ask that to myself often. I even ask others so that they really take a good look at themselves. I have been bringing many others closer to God – Thanks to you Kent. I and others are praying for you every day. Thank You Brother!

    In Christ,
    Daryl

    Dear Dr. Hovind,
I tried to leave a comment on the most recent post of the 15th, but couldn’t. Hopefully, you’ll check these other posts for comments. We want to let you know we still pray for you, your family, and your ministry (including your current one). It’s a blessing to hear of the lives you’re touching for Christ wherever you are, though your faithfulness is not a surprise to us. May you continue on as Christ’s ambassador always, dear brother. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understandings. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3: 5 & 6 Love and prayers, your friends, the Johnsons

    Dear Dr. Hovind,
Your ministry and the great knowledge that God has given you has blessed my life and the lives of my family and friends more that you will ever know. I praise God for the way that He has used you and the CSC ministry. You and your wife are in our prayers. We do not understand what is happening, but do not believe all the articles written in the newspapers. We are very anxious to hear the truth.

The theory of evolution has been a dark cloud over my life since childhood. I first heard about it in the 6th grade, when a teacher taught it as truth. It really shook me, but I prayed to my Creator. As a child I reasoned that there had to be a Divine Creator, and that it was stupid to think that everything just sprang into being from nothing over billions of years. I thought that even if God did it over billions of years, that was His choice, and He did it. [EDITED] …

Our family has a gospel singing group, and we always offer a free DVD of one of your seminars with a CSE catalogue at our table of free gospel tracks and music CDs. People are thrilled to learn the truth, and have their faith in the Bible verified. It is so exciting to see family and friends teach and preach the word of God with more vigor, because of this new light shined upon the truth that has always been in the Bible.

Thank you for following God’s direction in presenting the truth about creation and the Bible. We do not understand all this tax conflict. It seems to be a distraction that Satan has raised up to destroy your ministry. Satan cannot destroy the truth in the Bible and the truth about creation. We thank God for you, and are praying for you, your wife, and your ministry.

    Dear Brother Kent,

Just wanted you to know that I am praying for you and think of you all the time. Your hearing is in the morning and I know you won’t get this in time but I only recently found out where you are. I have been locked up and I actually got saved in there 14 years ago. To this day I don’t see myself as having been arrested, but having been rescued! Then in 2002, your tapes took my walk and faith in the Lord to a whole new level. And when I was frustrated with the humanism surrounding me and couldn’t take it any longer, I called on you to help me in Laramie, Wyoming. You didn’t hesitate a minute and came all that way to give ‘em the truth in 2005. And, a LOT of people showed up, didn’t they! :)

Brother Kent, those that would tear you down without knowing the whole story aren’t worth a second thought. Don’t you worry about what they say. God opens doors no man can shut and when he closes a door He always leaves a window open. Many new opportunities will be open to you as a result of this experience. They may not be the same as you are used to, but that doesn’t mean that they are any less important. For example, I am now in San Diego and boy do I have a venue for you when you get out!

Stay strong, Kent! The only two things I know for sure in this life are that God is good and God is faithful. He will never leave you nor forsake you and neither will many of us. Bless you for helping out those men in there with you. They need you sooooo much; I think you are just now realizing how MUCH they need you in there. I don’t think the devil realized what he was doing when he stirred that pot! Those men getting saved will impact their children’s lives on the outside and have a ripple effect that may never be known until you get to heaven.

Let us know about your sentencing as soon as possible. Many of us will be with you regardless the outcome.

God bless you and give you His peace and strengthen you for your day to come.

    Sue Denessen

Great little story. I do pray you do not spend one more hour in Jail, but if you do…your on a roll keep it going, do one with Adam and Eve or even farther back God and Adam and just work you way forward, and you might end up with a classic; than in 100 years preachers will say you only need 3 books…the God’s Bible, John Bunyan’s Pilgrims Progress, and Kent Hovinds Letters.

Some times it is not till years latter that we see what God had in mind, but in your case; that is the creation / evolution debate it is clear that God used your ministry to bring the creation story to the world, it was there but little to no one cared…Thank you
