"Written through the eyes of Shem to God"

Dear God,

God, we need to talk.  I am trying to be a good son.  But this time my Dad has gone too far!  He claims that you told him to build this giant boat in the middle of our field.  God, listen!  All my friends at school are laughing at me for being part of this crazy family.  No one wants to be seen with me, and I never get invited to anything.  I guess it is just as well, since all we do is work on that dumb boat from sunrise to sunset.  Lord, I just want to have a normal life.  You know, get married, build a house, and raise the kids.  What is wrong with that?  Isn’t that the way you designed this world?   Isn’t THAT normal?

Why do we have to be the odd balls?  How does Dad think that he is going to get that boat moved to the water anyway?  This whole idea seems silly, Lord!

How am I suppose to know that You told Dad to do this?  Why don’t you show me a vision, God?  Japeth says that he has doubts about this whole thing also, Lord.  Ham told me that this project has ruined his dating life.  So he just works hard to forget his problems.

I think You need to talk to Dad, God.  He’s doing harm to our family’s reputation.  “I’m coming, Dad!  I know, Dad.  You need a 4 X 6 that is 6 1/2 cubits long.  Coming right away.”

We’ll talk some more later, God

Shem

I’d like to be sure who wrote this, but it’s perfect. Noah was such a failure, right? Converted nobody, convinced nobody – the world around him all went down to destruction.

Like the writer, I have hard time believing that Shem and his brothers had no complaints for 100 years.

True faith means believing God’s word, and not checking with everybody else all the time to make sure they think you’re doing the right thing, but again studying, and knowing, and constantly checking God’s will – to be sure of THAT, and then boldly driving on with it!

Kent Hovind knows more Bible than about anybody I ever met. I think he understands it better than most of them as well – why? because he takes it seriously, and tries to obey it. God help you, Brother Kent, and protect you!

    It is very impressive.

What a great typology(if i’m right on the spelling) of Lord Christ’s second coming!

By the way, if it were, Dr Hovind, I’d like you to know, we are prayer soldiers for you, Dr. Hovind!

Whoever it is, GOD BLESS YOU,
    Nehemiah(yay!)

    Well said LTCJeffWhite

We’re praying for you today brother Kent. May God be with you.

We love you, Brother Kent! We will pray for you every day. We will begin now to contact the President for a pardon. If Bill Clinton can pardon the sorts of people he has let go – our current President, who professes salvation in the name of the real God, can certainly pardon a good godly man who may have misunderstood the provisions of the law – or the way these laws would be interpreted!

For my own part, I think you were right. If the church ministry is tax exempt, where does it stop? Why are the small salaries of ministers not tax exempt as income? Why isn’t every other expense of the church tax exempt?

I don’t understand it. And this ruling seems capricious, and arbitrary and tyrannical.

Stick to the stuff! You are an encouragement to everyone who loves principle, and truth, and true conviction.

Praise God for your ministry, and for your sacrifice.

I admire Dr. Kent Hovind and all the friendly Christian bloggers here.

Mr. Jeff White, just for your info, Noah was the leader of 8 God-fearing people who were saved in the Great Flood. Noah was NOT A FAILURE. He started a generation of God-fearing people. [EDITED] …

As for Dr. Kent Hovind, your seminar series will reach all nations worldwide regardless of you being incarcerated. But the prisoners in Pensacola have no means to listen to your seminar. And God is so good and He wants all men to be saved, including all prisoners. So Bro. Kent, I expect a multitude of saved souls in the prison where destiny has sent you.

I expect to see you face to face in Heaven, God willing.

To God be the glory.    In Christ,   Julia

I really liked this story, I can’t wait until I can read it to my children. They are home schooled and feel like they are always missing out on something, maybe they will see that they may be involved in something very important too.

I just wanted to let you know that your ministry has been very important in my life and my confidence in the word. (Even though I’m not a Baptist:) LOL)
    Thanks again
