“Trusting It All for Good” Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
When God wanted to show the sins of Israel to Ezekiel, he picked him up by his hair (Ezekiel 8:3)! God was angry with the people and planned to judge them. He wanted Ezekiel to see their wickedness first hand in order to understand why God was justified in sending judgement.
God has a host of reasons for sending people places. He sent Philip to the desert to win one man to Christ (Acts 8:26). He sent Elijah and Elisha many places to minister (II Kings). He sent Paul all over the Mediterranean including several times to prison to reach people with the gospel (Acts).
As much as I wish I were home with my family and staff and back out preaching, and as much as I still don’t understand what I did wrong or why this all happened, I do know it is my duty to forgive those who hurt me and my family (that’s been hard!) and to reach those I meet for the Lord. We had a great revival in G2O at the county jail and I am trusting God to do the same here.
Maybe God is allowing me to see and experience this to prepare me to serve during the one-thousand year reign of Christ (Luke 19:19). Maybe it is so I will better understand the broken hearts of millions of innocent people who have been jailed, beaten or killed over the centuries by heartless dictators or ruthless governments. Maybe there are dozens of other reasons known only to God, but this I know: God is too good to make a mistake. I’ve served God too long (38 years) to doubt His wisdom. Just as Moses only got to see God after He passed by (Exodus 33:22), I have learned that I often see God’s hand after He’s done.
The entire situation has caused me to get an ever greater sense of urgency to win souls and to influence others to serve God. Time is short!! The Lord’s coming is very soon. The world is racing toward a “New World Order” with Satan in charge. God told us all about it in Daniel and Revelation.
I’ve read the last chapter and God wins!
Next May, the national identification card containing a microchip will be mandatory in the United States. One man in the county jail with me was from Latvia. He told me his dad, as well as millions of others in the European Union, have a microchip implanted in their right wrist to speed border crossings. He thought it was a great idea and couldn’t wait for the idea to catch on in America! Even after I showed him Revelation 13:11-18, he was unchanged. It was as if he was blinded to the truth. By the way, the KJV says the mark will be “in the hand” which includes the wrist (Genesis 24:22), while nearly all other Bible versions say “on the hand.” This is yet another reason for sticking with the King James Version.
There are two critical cases before the Supreme Court now that bear directly on my sentencing. They are the Clayborn vs. US and Rita vs. US cases. They both deal with the right given in the Sixth Amendment to trial by jury. If the jury finds you guilty of a crime that calls for probation, as does my “crime, so-called,” can a judge enhance the sentence based on “evidence” brought to the judge at sentencing on which the jury did not deliberate nor hear, as happened in my case? Please pray the Supreme Court will rule soon in favor of the Constitution and make the ruling retro-active to free thousands now serving greatly enhanced sentences.
America has 2.3 million people locked up now and 30 million felons who have been in prison at one time in their life. I will certainly be more sensitive to their needs as I minister!
“Many thanks” to all of you that have written encouraging letters and blogs.
I do read all my mail and eventually get to read all the blogs. I wish I could personally respond, but……not yet. I so appreciate letters, but please understand if I cannot give you a personal response. Paul Abramson is doing a great job on the blog site and answering questions in my absence.
Eric and the CSE Team have also done amazingly well during this time of great testing. I’m so thankful for all of them! I’m also very proud of all my children and their families and am blessed to have them all love God, live next door, and assist me in this ministry!
I still maintain my intergrity (Job 2:3, Acts 25:11, Genesis 40:15) and will until God judges all men (Hebrews 9:27). Meanwhile, I get full contact visits with my family and staff; the food here is great; there are lots of activities; and there are plenty of needy men to minister to. I am working on a series of children’s Bible stories as told from a dinosaur’s point of view, as well as a book called, “Help! I’m a Public School Student Being Taught Evolution.”
Psalm 27:11-14 has been special to me during this time, as have hundreds of other passages. With the soon coming bad times on earth, I suggest you fill your head and heart with God’s Word while you can. To the evolutionist bloggers who still believe they came from a rock, please think about it one more time before you die and face God. To those who know the Creator personally, introduce someone else to Him today!
