“Patience” Romans 5:3-4 “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:”
Many lawyers and paralegal have looked over our case and said that it will be overturned. They tell me that all I need is patience. Well, I do want patience — I just want it right now! The Lord and I are discussing this often.
I am working in the tool room now keeping track of all the tools used in all departments of maintenance at the camp. I love tools, and the job gives me more time for reading and writing. The 700-man camp is a work camp, so evangelism is a little slower since everyone’s schedule is busy. God has provided many opportunities to reach the lost, however; so please keep praying for God to send revival in this place.
I do eventually receive and read all the blog postings and letters. Thanks for the great encouragement!! I am not currently allowed any phone calls, but I do enjoy the weekend visit from my family and ten friends that are allowed on the visitor list. What a blessing to have that precious time.
At lunch last week, one of the inmates said, “If I could, I would bomb the Christian Coalition. They are the reason we are here.” I was shocked by his statement! I love the Christian Coalition, but I understand the man’s point. For years, Christians have pushed judges and legislators to be “tough on crime.” Most are thinking about violent crimes when pushing for this type legislation. However, only about three percent of those incarcerated in the United States are incarcerated for violent crimes. The unreasonable sentences people are given have come from judges who have never spent even one day locked up and who brag that they will give out sentences totaling “a million years” during their time on the bench.
Having been here for nearly six months, I will forever be an advocate of closing most jails and prisons. What this type of punishment does to families and society is terrible. I believe that we as Christians are unwittingly funding and encouraging the very prisons that will house the Christians as the New World Order approaches!
Well, the Lord is still great. The weather here has been near perfect. I am healthy. The food is good. My family all loves me and comes to visit me—many men, the majority of men, do not have that. By God’s grace, the CSE ministry is still moving forward—winning people to Christ and inspiring children of God to live more fervently for Him. The CSE Team is doing a great job! How grateful I am for these many blessings!
God has taught me a lot during this trial, but I remain eager to get back out preaching! Keep praying!

EDITOR’S NOTE:
Later today I may have additional news to report regarding Dr. Hovind’s situation. I will relate the information once I can get a confirmation.
Brother Abramson, thanks for the updates on Dr Hovind & sister Jo. Looking forward to the additional news on Dr. Hovind’s situation.
The joy of the Lord Jesus will remain your strength in Jesus name.

Paul said “By the way, my last name is a “kosher” name, there is no “ham” in it…. `’
Hey, Paul (previously Saul), I thought Ham was the Jewish son of Jewish Noah. You should not be ashamed of your heritage, already.

[EDITOR'S NOTE: Well, ... good references! Not all of the Old Testament of was written by Jews. That is true. Actually Nebuchadnezzar - a gentile king - wrote part of the Old Testament! See Daniel 4. And ... one could contend that Noah was not "Jewish" per se (as one of Abraham's ancestors). Nor was Job, who was likely an approximate contemporary of Abraham. The first (oldest) composed book of the Bible (Job) was written by a non-Jew. These things are interesting to students of the Bible, of course. Ed. note by P.A. ]
Gosh Paul,
If you knew even half as much about science as you do of biblical stuff I would be completely sunk. But you don’t so I am still afloat!
Hi, Endtimes,
You wrote:- “What a sorry and unprofessional blog you have developed and promote. You deal with falsehoods, innuendos and untruths that are promoted on your website in a most juvenile and hateful manner.”
I do not disagree with your criticism of the strength of feeling which Pharygula brings to his website but just look at some of the Christian comments on CSEBlogs – there is no difference in the strength of sentiment – but please detail an example or two of the “falsehoods, innuendos and untruths” of which you make complaint. If Paul permits I will happily have a go at defending Pharyngula.
Kind regards
Samphire
Paul, thank you for the update on Dr. Hovind’s situation. The Chaplains in our state where I preach in the prison represent Catholics, Muslims, Christians, Wiccans, Native Americans, JWs, and Mormons with individual chaplains for each faith. (By the way, Dr. Hovind also preached once at this same institution as he has done at many other prisons throughout this country and his reception is no less enthusiastic than in a local church.) However, any of the above may be the head chaplain overseeing all of the religious activities ongoing in the prison which does allow individuals to suppress those religions that they don’t agree with when they are the one in charge. The Christian chaplain that I work with has had much persecution and snares placed before him from the Catholic and Muslim chaplains especially. As well, I did have one inmate that tried in many ways to subvert the scheduled chapel activities but he was unable to form the group that he was trying in large part due to the objections of those inmates that participated faithfully in the chapel. He was not transferred anywhere and he certainly was not placed in solitary confinement for this deliberate challenge of the chaplains authority. He was simply denied his request and eventually returned to the scheduled chapel events.
In this instance, Dr. Hovind may have a grievance for violating his civil rights and the right to practice his religion within the confines of the restrictions so stated on the number of people allowed in his room. God does not give Dr. Hovind any “off” time from the practice of his religion. I have never heard of inmates not being allowed to self congregate during their own “free time” and to discuss whatever they wish as long as it does not involve criminal activities. You know, they have a lot of “free” time on their hands. Most inmates spend their day playing various sports. So what if Dr. Hovind wishes to spend his free time fulfilling the mission given to him. That should not be within the province of any Corrections Officer or staff member to question. The number of true believers in prison environments, that I am aware of, all meet in like manner through out the day just to stay strong in that environment. As long as Dr. Hovind’s meetings did not conflict with any of the scheduled chapel activities, I cannot see any infraction myself.
I know of the power of God in these sort of circumstances and I would suggest that the Feds not try to play against God. Not a smart thing to do in this life or the one to come. So many Scriptures tell us of these things. May the Lord keep Dr. Hovind throughout this true persecution that cannot be denied as being against his faith and beliefs, not against any alleged tax protests. I remember a man of God that was placed in a lions den once as well and it ended well for him, but not for his accusers. Hopefully, the new chaplain at the new facility will have an appreciation for the great attributes God has given to Kent Hovind in spreading the gospel of Christ and see him for the true asset that he is to any Bible preaching chaplain.
Romans 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
regarding that Chaplain. hmmmmmmmm. how pathetic.
I am very saddened by the news of Dr. Hovind’s situation. Please know that we are praying throughout the day for him and his family and we will continue to pray. Brother Hovind when I think of you I think of Joseph in the Bible. We love you our dear brother!

Ken:
If it is true and were transferred to solitary confinement, here is a perfect opporunity for you to learn humility. What you did was wrong. You tried to place yourself above the law. I am not really interested in your justifications and excuses. “Taxes,” Justice William Holmes once wrote, “is what we pay for a civilized society.” You cheated. You lied. And now you are paying for the consequences of your action. As the old saying goes, “if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.”
Christ taught us to be humble before the Lord.
I cannot imagine what solitary confinement is like. I cannot imagine what prison is like. I do doubt the reports that you were deprived a bed to sleep on. However, if you are in solitary confinement, it is either for your own protection (you must had angered someone), or you broke the rules, which tells me you are not learning from this experience that God has given to you.
Remember, you are being punished for your crimes. I recommend you take advantage of this opportunity God has given you in quiet prayer and reflection into your own life. Ask God for forgiveness and my he teach you humility (a lesson that apparently had not learned).
And when you get out, may you take this lesson to heart and sin no more.
In the suburbs near Auschwitz-Birkenau life remained quite normal for quite some time. When the weather was fine children were playing in the streets with their toys, oblivious of the times; young single men would have been masturbating over fantasies with their “love interests”, people were doing their shopping, getting on with life; all at the historical cusp of a local/ their apocalypse.
During days leading up to Pompei being buried life was quite normal.
Some bloggers just look so much like they are debating theological points of refinement or evidence for or against historical biblical events like children playing with their toys. They could easily go away, sit down in any public library or Christian book store and bury themselves with exhaustive volumes of evidences. The very idea of them being here to twist your thinking is evidence that they don’t want to know the answers to the very questions they are asking.
Is any man going to stand infront of God at the Great White Throne Judgement and try to tell God that the reason they didn’t accept Him on earth is that Christians couldn’t convince them scientifically which bricks unearthed in archaeological digs were made by Israeli’s?
“Show me”, “Prove it to me”. Is someone trying to talk you out of belief in Jesus because no-one can accurately map with G.P.S. co-ordinates where the first steps of the Red Sea / Reed Sea crossing took place?
God has already said of those who say “Show Me” “Prove it to me” that nothing else would be given to them!! Nothing!! You are talking to people who ALREADY sit inside of a real curse/ if not “their” final judgement. Their chances are used up, as confirmed by the very speech they embrace.
Is anyone doing the research into filing procedures for the annulment of a phoney trial outcome? ie.- one that does not take place in a court of competent jurisdiction or with people fit for trial?
I am not here to prick anyone’s balloon. I am not here to interfere with your rights, to succeed or to fail. I respect those rights with fear and trembling. Please don’t let me wake you up if sleep is all your heart desires. I am happy to get back to other things. 00
Dr. Hovind,
My name is Adam and I’m from Maryville, TN. I am 22 years old. The Lord used your CSE videos to draw me to Him, and I got saved by the grace of God in my bedroom in November of 2005. I would just like to personally thank you for what you do and I’m very glad that you are doing well. I was sad to hear about your imprisonment, but God knows what he’s doing and I see that you realise that. Most of the time what God does doesn’t make a lick of sense to us. Exodus 13:17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: 18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness…
I know that’s easy for me to say out here, but your situation made me realise that I need to be ready for any trials that I must go through. Stay strong in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and keep winning souls to Him. I will be praying for you and your family. Take care, brother. I pray that you get out soon, and come back to East Tennessee when you do.
My dear Samphire,
The following “article” is what prompted me to make the statements that you are defending. I would hope that you also are uncomfortable with smear tactics and “with falsehoods, innuendos and untruths that are promoted on your website in a most juvenile and hateful manner.” Here is the example that took a comment out of context and then proceeded to simply imply a cold, heartless attitude for creationists that is incorrect. This is pure propaganda against the creationist just in the same fashion as the propaganda that led the German people to believe that the Jews were not true people so that killing them was the same as “killing kittens and puppies.” The analogy by the creationist was that the type of killing done at V. Tech was as cold as the killing by “some people” of puppies. He was not stating that he agreed with killing the puppies but that Cho had no regard for human life, like some also have no regard for animal life. Both are actually wrong. He was simply stating that the killings were cold and heartless. Neither is correct.
So the entire article is to disgust people and poison the minds of his readers against creationists. Yes, I stick by my comments otherwise I would not have written them. He has much on his blog that has nothing whatsoever to do with scientific proof of evolution. He is a propagandist, not an apologist for evolution. There is a wide difference between the two.
In kindness, EndTimes.
“What was that last line? Being an evolutionist means you’re as casual about human deaths as creationists are about killing kittens and puppies?”
CREATIONISTS DROWN PUPPIES!!?! (quote from PZ Meyers.)
http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2007/04/creationists_drown_puppies.php
P.S. Do you really want to defend a bunch of people that believe your parents were “heartless as the religious nuts.” You have testified previously that your parents, motivated by pleasing Christ, were loving and gave of themselves in an unselfish and loving manner. His site is for brainwashing, not educating, much as you have accused incorrectly the creationists on CSE. I would hope that you would also wish to only use logic and reason to win your battle for the truth, not Hitlerian mind control tactics such as PZ Meyers engages in. CSE does not condone insults and juvenile comments to bring down the arguments of your opponents. You in fact have staked your claim on just that, the art of arguing in a gentlemanly manner. So, why my dear Samphire, would you like to defend a propagandist telling untruths and inuendos. It does not become you nor the proper manners that you have instilled into these discussions on CSE.
Dr Hovind,
I totally agree with you on the prison system, its totally unbiblical. I Listen to Kevin Swanson alot , and they had a whole segment on the prison system, and how it is not good for the country. Accourding to the bible if someone steals from u, it should be paid back by labour, instead out system has it so you end up paying more, for room and board. So world is so backwards! Can’t wait for the millenium its gonna be sweet! In the meantime, I cant wait to see you out! I admired you before, but now, I have so much more respect for you!

Hello all….
This is my first post on these blogs, although I have been checking in on them since the day I heard of Brother Hovind’s indictment. I am also aware of the vast range of opinions that have been offered thus far regarding his various situations and their sundry merits, demerits, legality, illegality, etcetera, and will refrain from adding mine to the list so as not to contribute to the bickering.
However, I would like to give my opinion (i.e.–the political parts of this are open for debate, and I am not trying to make you believe me) on an issue. My goal in this is not to start a fight, argument, or any other unproductive thing. Rather, my goal in this is to get everyone thinking, researching, and working together in a productive, informed environment so as to “sharpen” each other. So here I go….
I noticed that somebody mentioned something about HR 1592, which was passed yesterday (May 7, 2007). So I read it and all of the particular sections of the USC that it references. Here’s what I found: 1) I did notice at least two blatantly unconstitutional clauses, but 2) the last section clearly excludes actions or statements that do not bring actual bodily harm to the “victim” and are made under the auspices of the First Amendment’s free speech and/or free exercise clauses. So at least our preachers still have a some (in my no-law-degree opinion
) legal ground to stand on.
I guess this is just another reminder of something that Christians throughout the ages have known: the world hates Christ, and therefore hates His followers. No government of men (including America’s) is the ultimate answer, nor should we rely on any government to “protect” our God-given rights. It’s nice when they do, but it’s not a prerequisite for exercising said rights. I believe Mr. Hovind understands this quite well. (Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m under the impression that the whole American War for Independence, and the great documents that arose out of that conflict, were a direct result of men exercising their rights in spite of a government [the throne of England] that was directly opposed to said rights, even when it cost those men greatly. I believe Mr. Hovind will have much to say about this in the future, and I eagerly anticipate hearing his [experientially enhanced] thoughts on the matter.)
On the other hand, while I in no way believe that we should stay out of politics, I do not recall anywhere that Jesus got involved in the many “hot-button” political issues of His day, even when His enemies tried to trap Him into taking sides. Rather, in every case He showed a radically different way to act than the options presented to Him. In every instance, these options were directly predicated on His love for (unconditionally ascribing unsurpassable worth to) others. (Greg Boyd, a pastor in Minnesota, has written several excellent books on this and similar topics, so I will move on.)
I believe we all should pray for America, that our leaders would make wise decisions and that God would bless our land. However, I also believe that, contrary to popular opinion, America is just another world government (i.e.–Kingdom of the World) and is therefore not the ultimate answer to the world’s problems. Rather, the message of the cross of Christ and the sacrificial, convicting, forgiving, life-bringing love displayed thereon is.
Does anyone else have any informed, non-petty, non-childish, non-rude, and otherwise completely relevant thoughts on this matter (agreeing or otherwise)?
Either way….Brother and Mrs. Hovind, I am praying for you, that the Holy Spirit of Christ will continue to comfort you both in these tribulations.
Thanks for letting me sound off. I am open to discussion on these issues (moderators, please let me know if I should take this to another thread or something), but will not respond to remarks that are hateful, childish, clearly uninformed (for example, calling someone “stupid” or “ignorant” with no cogent logic behind it), or clearly not given out of a spirit of love as commanded in the Bible, and as I have attempted to do here. If your comment meets the above criteria, I would like to read it, whether it agrees with my opinions or not.
Thanks,
–Steve
Greetings Brother Kent from Oceanside,
I just want to say how proud I am of you and what a great example you have been to me when my time comes to go through trials. You are making pools in the valley of Bekka and you are promised a blessing when this is all over so don’t get offended or stumble in the method Jesus is using to sharpen your soul right now. With each new day it is becoming more clear that it may not be you who comes out to be with us….but we who are coming in to be with you. George bush announced today his approval of our nations union with the E.U. Hate crime legislation almost guarantees a bit of jail time for the bulk of us in the faith. And I just think so often of all the books that have been written about the heroes of the church who have endured till the end and received a crown. And now it is your turn to be tested by fire so that all your critics, including the big one, will be silenced before the LORD as your work is shown for what it is…..True Gold!! I know that the Holy spirit has guided you along the way and caused what the enemy meant for evil to turn around for good. That letter from the guys in G20 was priceless!! So much fruit and so much ground lost to the adversary. Praise the Lord!!!!!!! May the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth who came in the flesh be over the brothers in G20 this night, and may the Lord of the harvest continue to bless the wells that you dig in the wilderness and make them a fountain for the thirsty that men might be saved!! Do not let your soul be troubled dear Kent, you are one of the most sincere Christians in America and I believe God has tremendous things in store for you.

Hi Endtimes,
I saw the article you mentioned some three weeks ago on Pharygula. I thought that the article was very funny.
Myers is a biologist who loves studying animal life – mainly octopi so it seems – and has a tremendous respect for and wonderment of it; the thought of routinely drowning excess puppies and kittens is alien to him. As Pharyngula pointed out, the words actually came from an anti-evolutionist creationist evangelist Grady McMurtry who was was suggesting how he deals with the inconvenience of having too many puppies and kittens.
But where does McMurty draw the line? Would he put an excess of chimpanzees or orang utans into a bag and throw them in the river? Perhaps he would. How about his closer cousins?
It is the biologist who is the good guy here and not the creationist evangelist.
As for Pharyngula generally, I am a regular visitor and find much there which is both entertaining and informative. OK, sometimes it is a little over the top (rather like your “brain-washing” allegation) but no-one is forcing you to visit it. And to claim that PZ Myers is not an evolutionary apologist seems to indicate a lack of contingent attachment to reality on your part, i.e. I disagree.
I agree with you that some of the posters to Pharyngula are very impolite but it is a young man’s game and young men always want to take each other outside to show them what’s what. We even have some of them occasionally on this blog but taking the pro-Kent side. Even saintly Sade from Kensington (North or South, Sade?) is calling some of our posters the devil’s cohort. Thank heavens, she doesn’t mean me.
Lastly, I was impressed at many of the sentiments of the large percentage of Pharyngula’s posters rightly sympathising with Kent’s circumstances. For my part, I too sympathise based upon the truth of the reports. However, I remain skeptical that we have yet received anything like the full story.
Kind regards
Samphire
Lord how long can this continue???
People, please quit just complaining and help us get something done about this problem! How many more of our brothers and sisters and fellow Americans have to be treated this way before we stand up for ourselves and change the way we fund our Federal Government??? We can do it!
What I am speaking of, is a reasonable and very obtainable change that we can make for the Hovinds and all Americans present and future. Please, please, please, join us and help us get this done!
I am speaking of The Fair Tax initiative.(H.R.25) http://www.fairtax.org
Again, please do all you possibly can to help!
God Bless,
Chris

Dear Paul, could you please find out the name of the chaplain in the federal prison where Dr. Hovind was previously held. We think it’s time to right him a letter and tell him about Jesus Christ. Thanks.

Dear Brother Hovind,
My heart is also breaking over your situation. My prayers are with you, but my actions have been quickened as a result of your troubles. I speak every day to all who want understanding, and also to the ones who don’t. Your unjust incarceration is like a spoiled child covering the mouth of his younger sibling and threatening them with a beating because they were going to tell mom who ate the cookies. Well, I’m tellin for you Brother!
More good news. Ron Paul is gaining support and he is doing it with the truth. This is from his website on debt and taxes;
Working Americans like lower taxes. So do I. Lower taxes benefit all of us, creating jobs and allowing us to make more decisions for ourselves about our lives.
Whether a tax cut reduces a single mother’s payroll taxes by $40 a month or allows a business owner to save thousands in capital gains taxes and hire more employees, that tax cut is a good thing. Lower taxes allow more spending, saving, and investing which helps the economy – that means all of us.
Real conservatives have always supported low taxes and low spending.
But today, too many politicians and lobbyists are spending America into ruin. We are nine trillion dollars in debt as a nation. Our mounting government debt endangers the financial future of our children and grandchildren. If we don’t cut spending now, higher taxes and economic disaster will be in their future – and yours.
In addition, the Federal Reserve, our central bank, fosters runaway debt by increasing the money supply – making each dollar in your pocket worth less. The Fed is a private bank run by unelected officials who are not required to be open or accountable to “we the people.”
Worse, our economy and our very independence as a nation is increasingly in the hands of foreign governments such as China and Saudi Arabia, because their central banks also finance our runaway spending.
We cannot continue to allow private banks, wasteful agencies, lobbyists, corporations on welfare, and governments collecting foreign aid to dictate the size of our ballooning budget. We need a new method to prioritize our spending. It’s called the Constitution of the United States.
Amen Brother Ron
He is also aware of 911 being an inside job.
My prayers are with you and I am ready to to move over a little so you can come back to work.

Just curious: what are the references for this one? I would genuinely like to look into it.
Thanks,

Very sad to hear the update on Dr.Hovind. Our government system has gotten way to far. How long will this be lasting? Anyways, can he receive mail at the place he was transferred to? If so, what is his current address?

Hi FuManChu,
I was going to sit at the back and not get in anyones way for a while, but a comment you made has compelled me too move marine move, and put my sticky beak in once more. ahem.
In your reply to APG (” (C) All Rights Reserved, The Kim Jong Government”), you said the following.-
“The Bible, on the other hand, is evidence; it’s just not convincing or conclusive evidence. Legally speaking, it’s hearsay from a series of absent witnesses.”
In answering to this with my view, I thought it appropriet to remind you of a comment I posted in late Feb’. I posted the comment to you in response to a comment you made with a similar theme to the above quoted comment. It went unanswered, which is fine. Just in case you have forgotten, here is the proof again (admittedly in my gruff and vague way) the evidence that the Bible can only be supernatural and in origin.
From Febuary’s thread.
“Anyway on to prophesy.I thought the best way of showing prophecy fulfilled is going into the Tenach ( the Old Testament )and see what it says concerning the Messiah. The Tenach tells us the exact time of messiahs coming. Prophet DANIEL’S vison
According to the Tenach, by the time the second temple was destroyed in AD70 by Rome, the revelation foretold by the angel Gabriel to Daniel would have to be fulfilled ( Dan 9v24-26 ); which by interpretation says’the Messiah would come and die(i.e. be killed ) for the people ‘before’ the second temple would be destroyed ( Yalkut vol2,pg79;Nazir 32b ).
So, whoever this Messiah was, he would have to fulfil such prophesies.
Daniel 9v24-25
“Sevent weeks ( heptads=weeks of years-490 ) are determined upon thy people( Israel ) and upon thy Holy City ( Jerusalem ),to finish transgressions, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and the prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem(457 BC)unto the Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks(heptads=weeks of years-49 years),and threescore and two weeks(heptads=weeks of years-434 years)’. ( Daniel 9v24-25 )If we add together ’seven weeks(49 years) and threescore and two weeks( 434 years )’we would arrive at 483 years.So,483 years after the ‘commandment to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem ( 457 BC ) brings us around the year 26 ad. Which is the time ‘the Messiah the Prince had to come.’
THERE IS A RABBI WHO FULFILLED THIS TO THE VERY YEAR.
There is much more I could quote here from the book ‘Moshiach in the Tenach and Talmud’ but for sake of space I’l stop there and move on to-
Please read Isaiah chapter 53
http://mydevotion.com/logos/bibleverse.asp?book=Isaiah&chap=53
Throughout history the people of Israel have had prophetic hope of the Messiah who would bring salvation to Israel and the nations( Goyim )In that day the earth will be filled with the knowledge of God and Davids messiah will be King over Israel. The gentile nations would seek the messiah. This messiah is known as ‘Messiah Ben David’ the exalted messiah. Ever since the Talmudic period this is the picture of the Messiah that has been portrayed in the minds and hearts of Jewish people. Yet the ancient Rabbis knew that the prophets spoke of a coming humiliated Messiah, also known as the suffering servant, who would die for his people (Israel).’Messiah Ben Yosef’.The rabbis have made varied attempts at explaining the seemingly contradictory lines of prophecy portrayed in the Tenach concerning ‘Messiah Ben David’ and Messiah Ben Yosef’
One rabbi Yehoshua Ben Levi expounded the following scriptures:
‘behold, one like the Son of Man came with the clouds of Heaven’ (Dan7v13)(exalted Messiah)
‘Poor and riding on a donkey’(Zech 9v9)(humiliated Messiah)]
He explained it as such: if they ( Israel )are worthy. He will come with clouds of heaven’; if they are unworthy, He will come ‘poor and riding upon a donkey’(Sanhedrin 98a)
Pay attention Samphire, not long to go now. Remember I might be asking questions about it after!!
> Rabbi Yehoshua Ben Levi in one sense was correct, because ‘there is none righteous no, not one’ There is one thing that the Rabbis failed to see concerning ‘Messiah Ben Yosef and Messiah Ben David? The answer, one Messiah ,who would come twice. The first time to atone for sin with His own blood, bringing peace with God for those who would repent and receive the atonement in faith. The second time as Messiah Ben David to bring judgment upon the unjust and to restore the Kingdom back to Israel. His kingdom of peace on earth and the Knowledge of the lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. Going back to Isaiah 53, this passage paints the picture of Messiah Ben Yosef.
> So, who is the Messiah that was rejected by most of his brethren?(Isaiah 53v3-4)
Who is the Messiah that was wounded, bruised, oppressed, afflicted and stricken, for the transgressions of Israel?( Isa 53v3-8 )
> Who was this Messiah whose soul was made an offering for sin and
> the iniquity of Israel was laid upon him and he bare the sin of many(Isa 53v10,6 and 12).
Who is this Messiah?
> God by His power rose from the dead.(Isa 53v11-12,Psalm 16v10)
> Despised and rejected. (Matt 21v42)
> Afflicted. (Matt 27v30;mark 14v65)
> wounded. (Luke 23v34,john 19v18,Matt27v50).
He died. (Luke 22v42; mat 20v28, Matt27v50,john 19v33),
Then he is buried. ( mat27v57-60 ) and is received ( Acts2v24-31,Luke24v46 ).
WHY-for the transgression of my ( Isaiahs ) people( Isaiah 53v8) His name is Rabbi Yahshua the Messiah ofIsrael-Jesus Christ. In the last twenty four hours of his life he fulfilled 33 prophecies from the Tenach, I will post them on request.
OK YOU MADE IT, WELL DONE.
I hate to interrupt the captivating conversation being made here, but I think a very important, albeit mistaken, comment has been made which was addressed, ignored and finally, dropped. The comment by Kdrose bothers me greatly, and I would respectfully request that Amy Donahey reconsider what she wrote. I have provided the text of her statement below (quotation marks), along with what I believe to be the truth of the matter.
“Mr. Hovind-
I am very shocked and very sorry to hear about your situation. I am also confused as to what was going through your head when you decided yourself not to be subject to the law.”
May I ask how he was not subject to the law? It seams that you have a mistaken idea of what constitutes this ‘law’. What is it? The will of the legislator? The will of the judges of America? The will of the people? The whims of the majority? Where are the roots, the origins of law? What makes it what it is? When did it first come into play in the history of mankind? These questions must all be addressed before an apparently rash statement such as the one dealt with here is made.
I presume that you are a professing Christian (correct me if I am wrong) so I will start with the first written account of a ‘law’. This can be found in the all too familiar story of man’s fall in the garden of Eden. GOD laid out the first law, and man promptly violated it. All throughout the New Testament and into the Old, the casual observer will note that GOD is the source of all law. It flows from HIM, to mankind, our only job being to enforce that which HE commands. This inherent principle was accepted as matter of fact in the founding of America, citing William Blackstone:
“Law, in its most general and comprehensive sense, signifies a rule of action, and is applied indiscriminately to all kinds of action, whether animate or inanimate, rational or irrational. Thus we say, the laws of motion, of gravitation, of optics, or mechanics, as well as the laws of nature and of nations. And it is that rule of action which is prescribed by some superior, and which the inferior is bound to obey.”
He later explains who this “superior” is;
“Thus, when the Supreme Being formed the universe…”
It is not hard to see that this great man recognized that God was the center and focal point of all law as he continues;
“…And created matter out of nothing, He impressed certain principles upon that matter, from which it can never depart, and without which it would cease to be. When He put that matter into motion, He established certain laws of motion, to which all movable bodies must conform. And to descend from the greatest operations to the smallest, when a workman forms a clock , or other piece of mechanism, , he establishes, at his own pleasure, certain arbitrary laws for its direction; as that the hand shall describe a given space in a given time; to which law, as long as the work conforms, so long it continues in perfection, and answers the end of its formation.”
In this example, he likens man to a clock in the hand of its maker. Man has a duty on earth, this duty is prescribed by God, and the whole duty of man is to fulfill God’s purpose.
“Man, considered as a creature, must necessarily be subject to the laws of his Creator, for he is entirely a dependent being. A being, independent of any other, has no rule to pursue but such as he prescribes to himself; but a stated of dependence will inevitably oblige the inferior to take the will of him on whom he depends as the rule of his conduct; not, indeed in every particular, but in all those points wherein his dependence consists…as man depends absolutely upon his maker for everything, it is necessary that he should in all points conform to his Maker’s will.”
With this state of affairs in mind, he expounds further upon what constitutes law;
“This will of his Maker is called the law of nature. For as God, when He created matter, and endued it with a principle of mobility, established certain rules for the perpetual directions of that motion; so, when He created man, and endued him with free will to conduct himself in all parts of life, He laid down certain immutable laws of human nature, whereby that free will is in some degree regulated and restrained, and gave him also the faculty of reason to discover the purport of those laws.”
He goes on for quite some time, laying out the principles of common law, which neither time nor space permit to be recorded, however, we will pick up later in the same speech;
“Those rights, then which God and nature have established, and are therefore called natural rights, such as are life and liberty, need not the aid of human laws to be more effectually invested in every man that they are; neither do they receive any additional strength when declared by the municipal laws to be inviolable. On the contrary, no human legislature has power to abridge or destroy them, unless the owner shall himself commit some act that amounts to a forfeiture, Neither do divine or natural duties (such as, for instance, the worship of God, the maintenance of children, and the like) receive any stronger sanction from being also declared to be duties by the law of the land. The case is the same as to crimes and misdemeanors that are forbidden by the superior laws, and therefore, styles mala in se, such as murder, theft, and perjury, which contract no additional turpitude from being declared unlawful by the inferior legislature; for that legislature in all these cases acts only, as was before observed, in subordination to the great Lawgiver, transcribing and publishing His precepts. So that, upon the whole, the declaratory part of the municipal law has no force of operation at all with regard to actions that are naturally and intrinsically right or wrong.” And later; “Upon these two foundations, the law of nature and the law of revelation, depend all human laws; that is to say, no human laws should be suffered to contradict these. There are, it is true, a great number of indifferent points, in which both the divine law and the natural leave a man at his own liberty, but which are found necessary for the benefit of society to be restrained within certain limits. And herein is that human laws have their greatest force and efficacy; for with regard to such points as are not indifferent, human laws are only declaratory of, and act in subordination to, the former.”
This then is law; the rules and regulations which GOD has imposed upon mankind, which these creatures of HIS creation are bound to enforce. For this reason, if Doctor Hovind has decided to “not be subject to the law”, he he must have violated a portion of GOD’s law. Since he has obviously not done this, I will let this portion of the statement rest for the present.
“I have read from several different newspaper sources that you received many chances from the IRS to make restitution. It seems as though you were very intelligent in your schemes over the last decade to hide your income and only recently decided to claim ingnorance of it. You could have filed “not for profit” status for your business.
Since it seems that you choose to educate yourself concerning Doctor Hovind’s predicament solely through the secular media, I will excuse what I perceive to be ignorance, challenging only the statement about filing for “not for profit” (or 501c3).
What business do you refer to? I did not realize that this great man of GOD had one, and, if he did, I will be forever grateful to the one who will kindly bring it to my attention. I realize that he had multiple ministries, in which case he had no right to subject a ministry for his MAKER to the scrutiny and control of the government by filing for 501c3 (tax exempt) status! I believe that Dr. Hovind recognized the error and danger of such a maneuver, and refused to commit such an abomination, preferring to suffer in prison rather than violate GOD’s law.
“You attempted to decieve the government, evaded paying taxes and, as the head of your household, BROUGHT YOUR WIFE INTO CONFLICT with the authorities.”
You ASSUME that he committed the above, while your research, by your own admittance, extended only to newspapers. Please, PLEASE, do not so viciously attack a man of GOD until you have thoroughly researched the facts involved.
“Then you brought God into it. He is the reason you couldn’t pay your taxes. You have made a mockery of God and of Christians. Mr. Hovind, the trial you are facing was brought on by you.”
Dr. Hovind cannot take GOD anywhere. He cannot bring HIM into anything at any time! GOD takes himself wherever he pleases, regardless of the whims of humans. Having settled that (hopefully) I will agree with you on the point that Dr. Hovind’s trial was brought on by himself, only I will add that it was because of his obedience to his FATHER’s commands.
“God loves you and will forgive you, WHEN you repent. You are still paying the consequences of you sin. I hope that you truly do repent. Remember what Isiah 59:1-2 says, “Indeed, the Lord’s arm is not too short to save, nor His ear to deaf too hear. But your sin has built barriers between you and your God, and your sins have made Him hide His face from you so that He does not listen.” Hopefully, this time in prison will be short but will not be wasted. God does not recognize verying degrees of sin. Every sin is equal in His eyes. Please repent not only for the ways you broke mans laws, but for the breach of trust between fellow believers. You yourself proclaim to be a Man of God. You preach God’s Truth, you bring lost people to Christ and God holds you to a higher accountability because you know better. Please, truly repent so that you may once again be a respected man of God.”
I will not deal with the rest of this, as you seem to be sincere in asking him to repent, however, you ask him to repent of “breaking man’s laws” in collaboration with breaching the trust between believers. Ma’am, Dr. Hovind has proven to us that he values GOD’s laws above those of man, so I am afraid that he will not disobey GOD in order to gain the approval of men.(or women)If “breaches of trust” occur as a result of obeying GOD, then let trust be breached. GOD’s law is, has been, and will continue to be, superior to any other that might rear its head in an attempt to usurp the authority of the MAKER, and, in the end, will rule and reign on the earth.

=== UPDATE ON DR. HOVIND ===
Jesus almost did not mention the foreign Roman occupiers of Israel, when He walked among us about 2,000 years ago.
False religious teachers though, who wanted most the respect of men, they were a different matter. Many times Christ spoke strongly against their sort. (See Matthew 23.)
Many modern prison chaplains are Christians. I would expect that most of them are Christians, since it can be a thankless ministry. But it stands to reason that some of them are not. And they, like the Pharisees before them, can’t stand the Gospel message and those who would spread it. It cuts in on their turf.
Brother Hovind got in trouble with the chaplain in the federal prison where he was previously held. The chaplain actually tried to get Dr. Hovind in trouble on more than one occasion. And the chaplain told him to stop holding Bible studies. The chaplain called them “unauthorized meetings.” Dr. Hovind was following the rules that no more than 5 men could meet together. He kept holding the Bible studies (only with 3-4 others at a time) and witnessing to his fellow inmates whenever he could. And just like before, in the county jail, men were responding to the Word! They were coming to know Christ as their Savior and Lord.
Suddenly last week Dr. Hovind was shipped out of that institution and sent to another, where he is now in a bare cell, isolated in solitary confinement, as was learned and reported yesterday. …

Thanks brother Abramson for the update on brother Kent Hovind.
I copied it so that more people will see it….
At least, the reason for this whole ordeal on brother Kent Hovind is getting clearer. I pray that all the enemies of brother Kent Hovind & the CSE ministry will make mistakes that will expose them and put them to open shame in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Beloved brother Kent Hovind, the grace of our Lord is sufficient for you…my prayer is that the Lord will perfect all that concerns you and that this situation will be used to glorify the worthy name of our Lord in the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord that took care of the Israelites during the 40 years wilderness journey will cover you with His shekinah glory & overshadow you with his divine favour and mercies in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
What the enemies plan & thought to happen to you shall come upon them in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Every power of the night working on this case of brother Hovind, receive the judgement of the fire of the living God in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. By the power by which God is known to be the living God, let every host of hell working on the case of brother Kent Hovind be put to open disgrace & shame in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus. I plead the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ over brother Kent Hovind where He is right now & I pray that the blood of Jesus Christ will fight against every power working to keep brother Kent Hovind in prison in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Arise Oh Lord and let all your enemies be scattered in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord reigneth, let the earth tremble!!!Ps 99:1 The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.
The Lion of the tribe of Judah will arise and fight for your deliverance and for total victory in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed heavenly Father, I give you praise and thanks for all that brother Kent Hovind is going through in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus. 1Th 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Ps 30:12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
I will contine to pray day and night for brother Kent Hovind, sster Jo and the family.

I thought we are supposed to PRAY for those that persecute us and despitefully use us. Please, lets at least remember a little bit of Christianity 101. It wasn’t too many years ago that I was mocking and persecuting Christians. How many years has it been for many of you? Remember, it is by showing the love of Christ that Paul won so many to the Lord. There are reports/traditions that many of the Roman guards chose to die with Paul when Nero executed him. I don’t know the truth of those reports, but certainly the intent and life that Paul lived was consistent with that. Remember, most of the prison staff needs Jesus as well.
In kindness,
EndTimes.
Since I do Jail Ministry, I have the privilege of knowing an incredible Bill Gothard-sponsored missionary prison chaplain here in Tennessee. He has encouraged me not to panic over Dr. Kent’s solitary confinement for these reasons:
1. We do not have the BIG picture. Only God has the BIG picture, and He is still in control.
2. Solitary confinement is the typical way a new inmate starts out at a new facility. Inmates are brought in, put into Solitary until a better cell assignment is determined. No reflection on Kent.
3. The “no visitor” policy will only last until the Solitary is over.
4. Who are we to know the mind of God? Where would we be if Joseph’s prison time had been prematurely shortened by others? The whole outcome of Israel would have been altered. We need to allow God to do that great refining work in Kent.
The Chaplain said this:
“The best thing we can do is pray Romans 8:26-27 for Kent. None of us know what [Kent] needs, but all of us who name the Name of Christ know that Romans 5:20 still works, where sin abounds, grace does much more abound.”
Dear Brother Hovind
I was so sorry to hear that you were in solitary confinement in prison. I only just learned of your trouble. I pray that the Lord will strengthen you in your time of trouble in the place where Satan has his throne. My family will not stop praying for you. We have your Creation seminar series and we love it and it has been absorbed by my children and even my 12 year old son loves them. So even though you are in prison your contribution to the work of the Lord will continue. God bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and grant you peace.

Dear Michael Deas [may 9],
One. I think the point about money is that “you” are the money. Money is “created” at the point at which people take out loans and that is based on “you” wanting to borrow, and to do something with borrowed money. It is that intention “to do something with money”, to value possession of it by undertaking actions with it. Money is created at that point of borrowing and was created at the point of you “berthing” with the state. “You” are the money. You are the only “valuable consideration” to FRN’s. If people stopped borrowing inflation would stop. If people stopped borrowing “banker entities” would stop making money from “usary”. If people stopped placing demands on the state for services “their” business would vanish.
As things stand official interest rates are always about 2 percent over inflation; that is their “cut”
That means “you” are the milk cows that bankers bank on feeding them.
Stop the borrowing and inflation goes away. Stop being a customer of government and government goes away.
Two. Don’t try to reform a privately owned corporation. It will cause you untold ancst. Jesus, I humbly believe, recognised Rome as a private club where association was voluntary. It was literally none of His business.
And a generic note> If anyone has been following the U.C.C. redemption process I think that the reason judges cannot admit it, even though the paper work is flawless, is that the real owner of the STRAMINEUS is someone else and that their claims to the NAME have to be superior and antecedent, even to your filing of a U.C.C. claim, simply because that mystery party was using the NAME soon after you were born. This is just another catch 22.
It is like the “state” not having the power to declare “you” or “STAMINEUS” stateless. You, the real you, can declare yourself a non citizen, lawful alien man, but they cannot remove STRAMINEUS from their books.
The really fascinating question is what happens would when you declare STRAMINEUS persona non grata, before a room full of witnesses.
In a strange way, the simplest statement of Truth mught utterly release you.
[Paul, again if you feel you shouldn't print this or want to edit it down, please do]
And if any thinking brother can add or detract from this please teach me where I might be in error.
All glory to Jesus.,

UPDATE ON DR. HOVIND
He has been moved again, as of sometime yesterday (May 9th). He is now in a prison somewhere near Tallahassee, Florida. No word yet on the reason for the move nor on his present circumstances or health at this time.

Said this at 7:45am:
Dr. Hovind,
I’ve been reading quite a few books on Bible end times prophecy and the theory of the Rapture, and I was curious what your standpoint is on this. Do you believe we Christians are going to be taken up by Jesus before the tribulation?
_____________________________________________________________________
Dear Rebecca,
I am just a sister in the Lord who wants to encourage you not to let anyone steal your blessed hope! The Lord showed me this truth from His word when I got saved, but immediately, satan came to steal my blessed hope and caused me to question whether it was really Truth. Do not listen to all the naysayers who think that it is an escape mentality, because the Lord has told us Himself that we are not destined to wrath (1 Thes 5:9; Rev 3:10). The Great Tribulation is for unbelievers and His dealing with Israel for rejecting Him when He came to them the first time; however, they crucified Him, and wanted His blood to be upon them and their children (Matt 27:25). The Lord has had me, fervantly, studying this doctrine this past month, and totally removing any seeds of doubt in my heart that could have been left from the naysayers and scoffers over the years:0) Here are a few keys that are crucial: 1) 2Pet 1:20–(Please look up these scriptures for your own edification); the Lord says what He means and means what He says. Take what He says literally, unless the context tells you otherwise or that it is quite apparent that symbolism is being used. 2) 2 Tim 2:15–In order to come to the Truth, the scriptures must be rightly divided. Israel and the Church are two separate entities, and the Lord deals with each separately. He has one program He is using to bring Israel back to Him, and He has an all together different program for His church. I’ve found over the years that so many want to spiritualize the scriptures to mean the church when the Lord is not referring to the church in context. Also, there is a division within the Lord’s Second Coming which has to be taken into account…this being, mainly, that at the rapture we are caught up in the air to meet the Lord and at the Second Coming Christ comes with His saints and He steps down on earth on the Mt. of Olives (Jude 14; Rev 19:14; Zech 14:4-5) 3) This should have been first, but do pray and ask the Lord to show you His truth; it must be an honest desire to know His doctrine and not what we want to believe about a given subject:0)
The only view that makes any sense, where the verses come together to form a logical timeline, is the pretribulation rapture of the church. Here are some scriptures to start with: (Rev 3:10; 1 Thes 5:9-11; 1 Tim 6:14; 2 Tim 4:1,8; Titus 2:13; 1 Pet 1:7; I Cor 15:51-52; 1 Thes 4:13-18) Also, look at all the scriptures that speak of our Lord returning for us as a thief and the ones of Him telling us to watch and be ready (Matt 24:37-46; 1 Thes 5:2,6). Also, the great tribulation is referred to by the Lord as the “time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer 30:7) and in the book of Daniel, in vs 24, the angel Gabriel announces that 70 weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, which is in reference to Israel and Jerusalem, and not the church. Again, it all has to do with our studying to show ourselves approved unto God, workmen that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Tim 2:15).
May the Lord bless you in your search for His truth!
Maranatha!

FYI, I checked the BOP website and it looks like the new facility in Tallahassee will be much better. It’s a low security female facility with a satellite detention center for males with “administrative security” level housing, whatever that means. But the policy says that he can have up to three visitors at a time, including children, so I think Dr. Hovind will be much better off there. Maybe he’ll get to see his grandchildren soon. Praise God for this new, better facility. Medium security prison (where he was before) is no joke.
I believe that our prayers are helping. Even though Dr. Hovind isn’t free yet, hopefully he’ll be able to see his family again. And don’t forget to pray for our good Sister Jo. What she is going through is the worst nightmare a wife could face. Please, Lord, keep her strong and make sure her health doesn’t suffer. Grant her a good night’s sleep, a healthy appetite, and a speedy aquittal. Amen.
Rebecca
GoRge,
Thanks for your comments on my resonse to Australian Philip-George (Pat. Pending). I’ll deal with your points as they arise; apologies for not quoting in full, but I think Mr Abramson might get irritated by the length of this post.
(Extensive Daniel 9v24-25 commentary)
As luck would have it, I have a KJV on my desk, so I looked up the section of Daniel to which you refer. Obviously I’m no kind of expert on Biblical prophecy, but you have interpreted ‘week’ as ‘seven years’, without any obvious sign in the text that it is to be read this way. Are you saying that the KJV is badly translated? You may well be doing so, but I thought I’d check in case you’re one of the KJV-only Biblical literalists of whom I believe Kent Hovind is a member.
(Musings on Isaiah 53)
Interesting stuff. I’m not sure it requires a response, since it deals with Jewish interpretation, but it’s good to read about.
Onwards to the fulfilled prophecies!
> God by His power rose from the dead.(Isa 53v11-12,Psalm 16v10)
> Despised and rejected. (Matt 21v42)
> Afflicted. (Matt 27v30;mark 14v65)
> wounded. (Luke 23v34,john 19v18,Matt27v50).
>He died. (Luke 22v42; mat 20v28, Matt27v50,john 19v33),
>Then he is buried. ( mat27v57-60 ) and is received ( Acts2v24-31,Luke24v46 ).
I appreciate that you apparently have a great many more (please feel free to post them), but I’ll deal with these for now. These particular prophecies are rather linked, wouldn’t you say? I mean, somebody who is despised and rejected is fairly likely to also be afflicted and wounded. Someone who is wounded is quite likely to die, and someone who dies is pretty certain to be buried. These are all things that have happened to millions of people down the years. The only unusual part is the reference to resurrection, and there’s no reason to suppose that that wasn’t made up purposely to fulfil the prophecy.
The problem with referring to fulfilled Old Testament prophecies is that people at the time of Jesus knew them. It’s not stretching imagination to consider the possibility that some of the ‘fulfilments’ were fabricated, before or after his death. I will stop short of accusing Jesus himself of living out the prophecies intentionally, but certainly if I wanted to be seen as the Messiah I’d ensure that I travelled on a donkey, and all the other extraneous details predicted.
I asked KVCY Christian radio if they would allow an authorized spokesman to speak on behalf of Dr. Hovind. Hopefully, there is someone that will, because I think it will come about. Mr. Schneider wrote back quickly and said he was forwarding it to
Vic Eliason. He is the one that approves these type things.
Any other Christian stations willing to hear our side?
Paul. Do you have a ‘spokesman’?
Thanks.
To all interested in the monetary system,
There is a wonderful website you can go to that explains the inner workings of how money is created and how it results in a form of bondage. All you have to do is google ‘money as debt’ and the second reference will take you to a fifty minute video you can watch on this facinating scam.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, fellow bloggers. God is so good. I praise the Lord for the latest update on brother Kent. May God give Kent favor with those over him in the new prison.
To Kent: We are still praying for you, and Jo. Sometimes God calms the storm for the servant, sometime He calms the servant in the storm. Know you are well loved.
To FuManchu: You said “While I regarded Kent’s original sentence as entirely justified legally (and not entirely unjustified in karmic terms), I must say that I was very sorry to hear of the change in his circumstances. If the facts are as stated in the post, it is a punishment I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Perhaps it will be cleared up soon. ”
Thank you for those kind words. I love Kent, and when someone hurts him, it hurts me, and when someone shows kindness to him, it blesses me. Thank you.
To Samphire: I think you mis-understood my point when I said “who would die for a lie”? Your answer – “Who would die for a lie?”. The answer to that is a great many people. Most recently, the London Underground bombers died for their belief in Islam; back in the 17th century both Catholics and Protestants were willing to be burnt to death for their particular version of Christianity; upon the partition of India many hundreds of thousands of Muslims and Hindus battled it it out. This list goes on. So, historically, there is no support for your proof.
These are people who thought that they had the truth. My point was- If the disiciples, & Paul had concocted the story of the resurrection, knowing that they had made it up, knowing that it was a hoax. Then they were put to death for their hoax. I don’t think that 13 men would fake Jesus’ resurrection, knowing they were faking, and then die for their trickery. Their lives, what they lived, and preached about God condeming liers to eternal fire, to purposely do that themselves, they would have had to of been the worlds biggest hypocrites, liers, and fools. What they have written in the Bible, convicts me to live holy, and to seek God with all my heart, soul, and strenght. No Samphire, I think these men knew something special, and spent the rest of their lives trying to let everyone know what they knew, that Jesus has risen from the dead.
I don’t know that Josh McDowell ever covered Pauls lack of interest in Jesus before his conversion. I do know that Saul (Paul) persecuted the church, so I would guess Paul really didn’t want anything to do with Him. After Saul was converted he loved Jesus so much that he lived the rest of his life for Him, and was put to death because of his love for Him.
Why do you think Ron Wyatt lost anything? I talked to Ron on the phone before his death, and he indicated that most of his finds were turned over to the proper authoritys in the respective countrys. The other finds are in his museum in Tennessee. I have never been there, so I don’t have firsthand knowledge of it. What did you think of the video footage of Mt Sinai, and the rock that Moses smote?
You are right, I have never been a slave. And I also believe that slaves would rather pay only part of their labour in taxes than all of it to their masters. But that does not do away with the fact that taxation is a form of slavery. Yes, I do tithe, and give offerings, and alms. God owns me, I am His, and all that I have is His. I willingly give to Him, He willingly gave His life for me. The u.S. does not own me. (in theory) I do not give my taxes willingly. I pay them because I don’t have the ability to defend myself. I don’t want to be in prison like Kent.
I liked your John Wayne “the Duck” I have a comment. Since John Wayne was a cowboy. Do all cowboys smoke Marlboro? If you smoke Marlboros will you become a cowboy automaticly? I have a theory about that. The Bible teaches and I believe, that about 6000 years ago God created the heavens and the earth, therefore He owns it. He can judge it if He wants. About 4400 years ago there was a flood, proving that He could and would judge sin. I don’t think that anyone will be able to “Duck out” of the judgement.
To floridagator: Dude, I did see the BCS. Our Buckeye boat sprang a Chris Leak, and we became gatorbait. By Floridas third offensive series I knew we were in big trouble. Congratulations on your teams win. Football is fun, but it’s just a game. Life and your eternal destiny is very serious. Floridagator, are you seeking after God? I truly hope so.
sincerely,
sonofjapheth

I thought I’d toss in here. I do fully agree we should be praying for our country and spreading the good word. But something in your post jumped out at me. As you said, Jesus didn’t delve into the “hot topics” of his day even when traps were set up for him. But the restrictions in doing so would potentially have been fatal or counter-productive. It does beg the hypothetical question of what would Jesus do now in the USA on the “hot topics”. With the ability to be more vocal now, would he have commented on or done something about the hot topics?
One thing I would suggest is to be an active Christian and an active US citizen to improve what can be improved. One of the biggest reasons the USA is in the mess it is in today is courtesy of Christians not stepping up and staying involved for about a full generation. On the E topic, the church is to be faulted for not aggressively confronting the topic with the help of scientists before the E topic took off. Now, Creation Science and morality in the US policies are trying to catch up on lost time.
Areas which don’t take much time but carry an impact:
Like Chris mentioned, support the Fair Tax Initiative. Why? No income tax and no IRS means no 501.3c. No restrictive regulations unlocks the pulpits to be free to make commentary again. Also, what is happening to Dr. Hovind wouldn’t be able to happen to anyone again here. (tax stuff reasons – No IRS, no substance to the charges)
Also track what legal groups like the ACLJ and others are doing to combat issues such as HR 1592 and ask them about it if you don’t see it on their websites or updates.
Then generally press on those in positions of authority from a school board to legislators at various levels to require accountability and responsibility from public officials and services. An example: If the public school system were to be held financially liable for slanted, biased, or misinformation taught that negatively impacted the medical or legal well being of another, then I’d be willing to bet many of the liberal topics pressed would be stopped. I could go into a list of things our local school and school district have tried to pull that land in that category but we all have our war stories.
We can still be active citizens while still being active Christians without a lot of additional effort.
If anything, asking the open ended question of “What would Jesus do if he lived in the USA now?” would make for one doozy of a question for a small group discussion in your church or a requested sermon on that topic to your pastor/ priest.

Dear Mr. Hovind,
I was reading Psalm 43 during my devotions yesterday, and I thought referring you to this chapter may help to encourage you.
My family and I pray for you daily.
With Christian love, your brother in Christ,
Daniel Roberts

[EDITOR'S NOTE: Psalm 43 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
For thou [art] the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who is] the health of my countenance, and my God. ]
Dear Saints of the Most High God,
[ firstly; my apologies for the typo on the last post, I meant "angst" not "ancst"]
my personal belief is that the rapture is close at hand. my personal belief is that there will be some mega natural disasters around the time of it. you will recall that there were earth quakes at both the crucifiction and at the resurrection. The tribulations of Sodom and Gomorrah might [I know its a big if] have been accompanied by something like volcanic activity in the region. We know about Pompei. We know about Thera and the Minoan Empire. etc etc. Jesus spoke of Tyre and Sidon. And while it is exciting and we are to “look up” I also just want to see more of Brother Kent out there doing his debates and taking his creation material on the road. I suppose there is lots of behind the scenes activity.
Here are a couple of more things to ask questions about.
How much examination was there of the Judges qualifications to hear matters, and make determinations over matters, relating to constitutional law? [this could be a silver bullit]
How much account was taken of CSE’s international status and “trading”. Perhaps some department of foreign affairs commerce and or international trade desks might be interested in Brother Kent’s inability to fulfill international obligations.
CSE was/ is sending material all over the world. It seems to me that the Judgements should take into account International treaties on free trade and existing contractual obligations to overseas “customers”. I for one would be prepared to go to the International Court of Justice to testify that Brother Kent has life long contractual obligations to the body of Christ that are “superior to and antecedent to” any contractual obligations to the IRS. Consider the possibilities of a Judge at the Hague having to rule on whether or not the Body of Jesus Christ exists on Earth as an International Entity.
Please do not consider this a Joke. Jesus allowed Pilot to think that he (Pilot) had some power over Him (Jesus). You will recall the words ” Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”
Now this is subtle but profound. Jesus was not saying Pilot had any power over Him!!
A legend exists that Pilot, like Judas, suicided in Switzerland. We know his wife was very deeply disturbed by the whole affair.
Many places in the bible it hints that he who sets a trap is ensnaring their own soul. Jesus gave Pilot, the Sanhedrin, Herod, all Israel the chance to think that they had “power” over Him. How very silly they were.
It would be interesting to take a case to the international court of Justice and let them think that they could rule on the existance of Christ’s Body on Earth. They might just be sending their own souls to hell.
All those clever minds but they could not deliver themselves from being trapped in their own web of deceit. Pilot, Herod, the Sandhedrin – all talented men – but where did it get them?
Judges with degrees – but where did it get them in the end?
Please meditate on these things. Our God Reigns, Our God is not mocked. He will shake the Heavens and the Earth. Look up Saints, we are close.
All glory to Jesus Christ the Lord.
Brother Abramson,
Have you thought about turning this blog into a discussion forum? That way members can post their own topics and discussions, and will tend to stay within the subject. People can debate if they want to or basically talk about whatever they want. You can keep a place where everyone can leave messages for Dr. Hovind and his family, and you can still keep us updated without the updates turning into another topic altogether. I think right now we have about 10 different discussions going on in this blog and it’s getting confusing (I’m guilty too).

FuManchu said,
“but certainly if I wanted to be seen as the Messiah I’d ensure that I travelled on a donkey, and all the other extraneous details predicted.”
What about being flogged and crucified? There is a point in conversion when you must take the faith leap and except the things written in the Bible as truth. I did and like yourself, before that I had doubts that Jesus was only a man pretending to be more. FuManchu I will pray for you, as I now know many were for me, that God will reveal himself to you in a special way and you too will take that leap of faith.
Paul
Is there a place to just hear official updates with out all the speculation from bloggers
CSR
[EDITOR'S NOTE: Well, normally the Hovind family makes the posts, but there is a delay in what gets posted. Because Dr. Hovind's situation has been changing so quickly of late, I thought it appropriate to add timely notes to update everyone. My notes are "from what I understand" but not "official" posts.
I highlight (with bold and italics) when I chime in, but otherwise try to let folks say what they want, even if sometimes mean or very negative. ...This is a difficult situation. There was a creation-evolution debate going on within this blog for some time, but we decided it was best to curtail that. But, as you have seen, many other topics get raised. A few "comments" on creation vs. evolution are okay. In fact, regular readers know that I am guilty of that myself. (Say, have you heard about my daily net radio program on http://www.TruthRadio.info, "The SMART Hour" from 4-5PM CDT...?)
The Tallahassee federal facility is sometimes used as a transfer point, I understand. So it is possible that Dr. Hovind will be moved again soon. But we have been learning these things only afterwards.
As one who has lived overseas 8 years of my adult life (3 years in Europe; 5 years in Japan), I think (generally) the worst, most unresponsive folks in governments are the Immigration personnel. The people (they're just foreigners, "using" the host country) whom they are over - have few ways to complain constructively. That makes for less oversight and less correction of bad officials when "power corrupts." It would seem that the same could be true for prison officials. The men and women they are over are essentially powerless before them. The theory of the "public servant" may not even get held up as a facade.
If Dr. Hovind gets moved again, or his situation becomes stable with a new address I will be sure to communicate this as soon as possible. ... Ed. note by P.A. ]
Hello all and good afternoon
Although I do not know you personally, my thoughts and prayers go out to you all, God bless you.
First of all I would like to thank the Lord that although Kent is being put through what seems an even hotter fire, and we do not understand why, he is still alive and hopefully well and will live to fight another day. Dear Jesus, I pray that you comfort Kent and all directly affected by this recent change, please guide them through this rough time, please give them the grace to plough through, and most importantly, your will be done. In Jesus name, Amen.
Just remember folks, the Lord promised not to give us anything more than we can bear, both physically and spiritually.
Thank you so much for keeping us updated Paul. I hope you have a good day
To the body of Christ:
Let us uplift Kent positively in our thoughts and prayers, let us not curse and judge anyone involved in negativity for what has recently happened. Initially I was shocked, angered and sorrowful by the turn of events, but when I reflected on it for a moment, I realised the Lord is in control and knows exactly what he is doing, so who am I to judge or question?
If Kent Hovind (the person who is actually going through these trials) can keep the faith with grace and Love throughout all of this, so can we. It is not our job to judge people, only to lovingly tell them the truth of the gospel, it is up to them what they do with their life, after all God gave us ALL choice. The Lord almighty will be the final judge, and his judgement, eternally fair and righteous. Glory to the great and only God our father in the highest, and to Jesus Christ our Lord, for he will reign infinitely the way it should be. Hallelujah!
You can’t keep the birds from flying over your head,
But you don’t have to let them build a nest in your bed,
Just keep focused on what’s honest, just and true,
And sooner or later the sun will come shining through.
Is there a silver lining? Some say “I don’t know”
But with love, hope and faith we can sow,
The gospel of truth to all who take heed,
Then watch as beauty grows from just a little seed.
We may be faced with troubles, trials and woe,
But Jesus Christ our saviour we know,
Will soon return in power and great glory,
And there WILL be a happy ending to this story!
With all my love and prayers,
Sam.
Hi Sonofjapheth,
Thanks for reply. You said “I don’t know that Josh McDowell ever covered Pauls lack of interest in Jesus before his conversion. I do know that Saul (Paul) persecuted the church, so I would guess Paul really didn’t want anything to do with Him. After Saul was converted he loved Jesus so much that he lived the rest of his life for Him, and was put to death because of his love for Him.”
I wasn’t referring to Paul’s experiences before his conversion. A few years after his conversion, Paul spent ten days with Peter in Jerusalem. They don’t seem to have got on with each other very well – rather like KH and AIG. But what I find amazing is that Paul never seems to have walked the few hundred yards from his bed and breakfast at Fisherman’s Cottage to the site of the crucifixion or the tomb or, indeed, even to the room where Jesus floated through a locked door. In contrast to Paul’s lack of interest how many hundreds of thousands of visitors now visit the Dome of the Rock each year from abroad? Indeed, how many thousands come from hundreds of miles away to Pensacola and pay a 7 dollars entrance fee each to visit Dinosaur Adventure Land? Why was Paul so uninterested in the very recent history of the most amazing event ever to occur in the history of the Universe?
Also, not a word by Paul of any little anecdote of the man Jesus, (as opposed to the spiritual nature of the risen Christ) nor does he show any inquisitiveness whatsoever into his personal nature. Everything he writes seems to indicate that he thought Jesus lived some time in, to him, the very distant past.
As for the 13 apostles (I think there is some confusion over numbers as the NT does not make it very clear exactly who were apostles if indeed they did exist at all) then who knows what their individual experiences were? Even the Gospels seem extremely confused and contradictory as to what exactly happened on Easter Sunday and the days following. Mark reports that the last thing Jesus told them immediately before he disappeared up to heaven was that they could now juggle snakes and drink poison without injury which is rather strange final advice from a Son of God. Why would they want to do either? It’s a pity Benny Hinn and Peter Popoff don’t have a try.
Why should the apostles have been any less delusional than all the many other Christians who today believe that they have a personal relationship with God and talk to a real living bodily Jesus, believe prayers are answered or that miracles occur with great regularity You say that you believe because they saw. But how many thousands of Americans (and they tend to be only Americans) truly believe that they have actually been abducted by aliens and had invasive tests carried out on them usually involving a close examination of their pudenda (children, don’t ask)?
Have a look at http://www.harrisonline.com/links/2007/05/color-changing-card-trick.htm and be surprised at how unobservant we all are.
Kind regards
Samphire
Hi again, sonofjapheth,
I forgot to reply re Ron Wyatt. You said “I talked to Ron on the phone before his death”. Well, of course you did.
I take it that you believe that he found the Ark of the Covenant, the drogue stones used by Noah on the Ark, the post-flood house and tombs of Noah and his wife, sulfur balls from the burning of Sodom and Gomorrah, chariot wheels and other relics of the pursuing army of Pharaoh at the bottom of the sea, artifacts from Solomon’s temple, the original stones of the Ten Commandments, the true site of the Crucifixion, and last but not least the blood of Jesus, dripped onto the Mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant, directly beneath the Crucifixion. These are all religiously important artifacts so where are they all now? Any museum which had any of them would be advertising the fact widely so why aren’t they? A conspiracy of silence?
I was unaware that Ron also found Mr Sinai and the rock which Moses smote. What a genius.
Something you should be able to check. From where and when did Ron gain the BA in archaeology which he claimed to possess? If he hasn’t got one why did he lie about it?
Do you always believe what people tell you or just those things that match your prejudices?
Kind regards
Samphire
Hi Paul,
You wrote “I highlight (with bold and italics) when I chime in”.
How do you do that? What are the mark-up codes for italic and bold? It would be very helpful to know.
Samphire
This is ridiculous. If it wasn’t unfolding right before our eyes, I would think this was a movie. Dr. Hovind, I pray that we all could have the same patience and faithfulness that you are displaying given the situation. It is very easy to preach about faithfulness when life is great, but to actually have it during persecution is inspirational. Refering to Romans 8:28, there is no doubt that this injustice is producing all sorts of positive results for the work of Christ. Ultimately I pray that this will light a fire under the mass of sleeping Christians. There have been so many spiritual fatalities because many are unaware that a war has been raging since the beginning. God bless you and your family, and be encouraged that we are all praying for you.
Dave
Brother Hovind:
You see what happens when you flip off the law? This is the the just retribution for your lying ways. You have made sport of the ignorant and credulous for lo these many years and now you pay the price for your mendacity and greed. Thanks be to God!
Raydar:
What about being flogged and crucified? Quite a few people were. It’s exactly the kind of thing the Romans might be expected to do to a renegade Jewish leader.
Maturekid AKA Gary:
Thanks for your response. Your screen name reflects your writing style, and for that I am grateful.
As for your question of “What would Jesus do in the USA?”: I honestly do not know. In my own life, whenever there is ambiguity about what He would do, I like to pray and ask Him for His wisdom in whatever issue I am dealing with. He has not failed me in this regard. His method of sending said wisdom vary, but He does still lead. Sometimes, He answers through my pastor, other times His Spirit will point out something I had missed in His Word, or put something I already knew in a different perspective. Sometimes, the still small voice just gives assurance of the correct path. It varies.
However, nothing He has led me to do, say, or think so far has contradicted His already established Word and example. As for what He would do here? I cannot say for sure, since He is not physically present. However, I do think it is a good question, since the church (and by this, I mean the individual churches) are the “body of Christ” on earth (at least until He returns), and as such are to act as He did and would, as led by His aforementioned Spirit.
Also, in case there was confusion….I am /not/ against political activism and standing up for what we believe in; nay rather, I can get quite animated when it comes to these things. I was simply commenting that, in my opinion, we should be careful not to let that area of our lives overshadow our main mission on the earth.
Anyway, thanks again for posing that question directly.
Peace be upon you,
Steve
