Why have you done this? We were doing so well felling tress for the Master’s house and you quit chopping with me in the middle of cutting that big oak. Why? I was doing my best. I never flew off the handle. I cut as deep as I could every swing. What did I do wrong?
Why do you have me clamped in this vice? I can’t move! I can’t chop wood here. I was designed for chopping wood. I love it! Please don’t leave me clamped in this vice. I feel pressure on my sides that I’ve never felt before. I can handle the pressure on my cutting edge. Go ahead. Chop with me all day long. I can take it. Actually, I love it!
Now what? No! Wait! Why are you grinding and filing off part of me? Why would you take away pieces of the most effective part of me—my cutting edge?

Kent’s case was really pretty simple: he failed to withold payroll taxes from his employees, then violated banking laws in an attempt to hide this fact from the government. It’s not about his religion, not about his cause, not about any larger issue. If you or I did the same and were caught, we would face the same consequences as Kent. He’s not a martyr, just a convicted felon.
And there is a reason he was caught — he was a very visible tax protester for over 20 years. There is no evidence that he has ever filed a personal income tax form. The IRS had been after him for many years, and he had aggressively fought them; filing numerous lawsuits against the agency and personally against various IRS agents.
To me it is unfortunate that he chose the path he did, but he did so quite willingly, and for many, many years. He is now paying for it. Let’s not try to make it something bigger than what it is.

If there is a “complaining party” and there is “a real loss” and/or a real “victim” and “real witnesses” an action can be enforced upon even the unwilling.
Otherwise the respondent has to be someone who has agreed to be governed by these “laws”. No agreement means no enforceable contract/ law.
With one set of traffic violation notices [someone I know] simply sent the “pieces of paper” to the chief commissioner of police and asked them “to whom do these belong?”
With a process of negative averment ie. “prove it to me/ show me/ what do these words mean/ to whom does this apply ?” a lot of violation notices seem to disappear into thin air.

This stuff about the CORPORATIZED entity is real. If you begin to act as an agent for the CORPORATE COLOURED ENTITY everything changes. [they] have a letter acknowledging a “mistake”. Now it is the department of Justice that used the word “mistake”.

Money went from being “lawful money” to being “legal tender”. Look at what is literally written on the notes in your wallet and see. Check out the history of this – I didn’t make this stuff up – most of it happened before I was born.
I do not believe the people who invented this are evil. I watched your google video on Rescuing America [June 1st CSE blog]. It was excellent & I plan to watch it again! I can vouch for what you are saying about our media having an influence on other countries. When I was growing up in Australia, we watched American movies as well as Australian movies. Almost anything Hollywood could come up with, we saw in Australia!! Both good & bad!! It was the same with all Christian literature & Christian music, & also secular literature & secular music. My high school biology textbook was produced & published in the USA, & it was full of evolution, just like what Dr Hovind talks about!![& my science & biology teachers were thrilled to be able to obtain copies of those biology textbooks!!!!!!!!!!!] I remember on several occasions crowding around a small tv screen in the girl’s dorm at boarding school with a bunch of other high school students & guess what we were watching??? Sesame Street!!! Most Americans have no idea about what kind of impact America has on the rest of the world.
Here’s another one: While I was in Boarding School, my parents lived up in Goroka, New Guinea.[New Guinea is the big island directly above Australia.] The natives in that country have only come into modern civilization since the 2nd World War. The point is, our values concerning the media are worth fighting for. God has given us freedom & we need to not waise time, but put it to good use. Most of the body of Christ around the world doesn’t have such freedoms. If we are loving them with Christ’s love, we need to be wise stewards of what God has entrusted us with. Any organisation that is responsible for auditing oversight and policing and sends out an auditor merely on a random basis, lets just say, but then draughts charges that covers the last seven years, is in my humble opinion, failing in their common law “duty of care”. If you are responsible for policing anything and discover an unintentional breach your duty, I believe, is to “warn off” the perpetrator from their behaviour; and then lay a minimal charge as a first offense would warrant. This is just common sense/ raw justice; and I believe has common law precedents.
4. The fact that no defense was made, so you say, makes one suspicious that the respondent was PERSON NOT FIT TO STAND TRIAL
5. The fact that you used the words “the majority of the next 10 years” makes one suspect that you are biased, if indeed the appeal process is not exhausted.
6. Since numbers seem to get you excited have you considered that the total accumulated debt for the world is in excess of the total cumulative value of all identifiable assets in the world. ie. money is bogus.
7. What was the “mens rea” – what was the personal gain? Recently in the last 2 weeks there were threats made again on the United States and said they would do something if the USA would not leave Iraq. The terrorists also stated that we should stop supporting Israel. There is more at stake here than just Iraq. They are vehemently angry that Israel is being helped and supported by the USA. They have stated over and over again they want to destroy Israel.
God hates Violence, but because of evil men, protection has to come to help the people. From what I understand that is why the USA went to Iraq, was to oust Saddam who out of his own mouth has stated he aided the terrorists. Who compared himself with King Nebecanezzer, of Babylon. Even had coins printed up with his image and Nebecanezzers side by side each other. He had at least 7 gold palaces, paid for by monies that should have went to the people. Evidently at one time he deceived the USA and was helped to get in power there, I don’t know much about that. But he was not voted in, he took Iraq by dictatorship.
Any leader is responsible and accountable to the people he is in authority over. It is amazing to me that Bill Clinton remained popular in spite of the fact he was committing adultry over and over in the White House and God knows what else was going on.

The trial did, in fact, establish that the folks working at CSE were employees, not missionaries as Kent claimed.

45 of the charges related to structuring transactions over approximately a one year period. Kent’s lawyers argued, with some merit, that it should have been a single charge rather than 45. However, the court rejected this argument; Kent was sentenced on the 45 counts.

I never suggested that his aim was personal gain; indeed, he appears to have led a modest lifestyle. It makes his actions even more puzzling.

I’m no expert on prison life, but the fact that “diesel therapy” is common enough to have its own jargon term leads me to believe that Kent is not being treated differently. Prison is not intended to be a pleasant experience.

If Kent Hovind “was a very visible tax protester for over 20 years”, then he was not “caught” on that, but simply was punished for something that he believed sincerely and did not do it as it was against his faith to do…
How could he contribute to the system that was contradicting his belief? The belief that nowadays governments and laws based on tolerance to sin are heading on to the New World Order… preparing all the banks, armies and even all the countries around the world to be submitted to One World Government.
I am sure Kent Hovind did enough research on the dynamics of the New Worl Order Government tactics, and he could recognize by the Holy Spirit the forms how they are reaching their goals, submitting people’s and nations’ freedoms through controlling their financies, that are not of God’s ways.
Let us remember that for Christians it is going to be worse and worse as the plan of Anti-Christ is coming closer to its fulfillment. Christian lifestyles and the ways they choose to live by the Spirit will contradict to the modern laws and regulations of the world. I do not think the world will persecute the church that is warm and submissive to the evil… or to the evil and abusive laws, taxation laws in particular… They will persecute the church that is INCONVENIENT to fulfill the New World Order… They will choose to legalize the religion that will be tolerating tolerance to sin to keep peace… (Aren’t there going on many manipulations by the IRS nowadays? Who is happy with their service? Do they serve people’s interests, considering their needs?) Remember, the living church of Christ will be persecuted at those times? This church will be creating frictions more and more, like Hovind’s ministry… He simply could not warn people about the New World Order on his seminars, at the same time supporting the New World Order with the ministry’s funds! Who will report to the guys like him, where this money were spent for? This is how I feel about it…
I can tell one thing, if Kent Hovind is in jail, it is a big complement to him as a Christian, for we are living at the End Times, and Christians are going to be persecuted. If Kent Hovind is in conflict with the law, he proclaimed his beliefs publically, conveying that he does not support the goverment agencies that less and less of God’ will, but more of people’s will where nine people decide for many WHAT IS TRUE or should be accepted as the truth.
Who can control the IRS? What standards are they ruled by? Who are they accountable to? I think we need to listen over and over again to Devvy’s radio 4 minute program mentioned by JR Turner to get a good idea about the anti-Constitutional dynamics of such the agencies…
… And Hovind’s case is being bigger indeed than just tax issues. These are just “first flowers”, (the way we are saying in Ukraine), of the serious battle ahead of us… Let us remember that anti-Christ will be so well masked and so good-looking that many will be deceived by him and taken as a True God… And many will bow down to him…… And behind him will be the whole world and the whole well-structured system with the World Army and World Bank, built by the laws that prepared a good ground for him to function… Yet, we know who is the Winner, and all the Saints will judge this “well-structred and well controlled” world, that was deceived.

“I have given it long enough. A lot of Christians seemed to think that if Bush got into office we would be a lot better off than with Clinton. On the whole it would be better if people didn’t rise to the bait when it comes to politics. I don’t think most people are here to talk politics, and in any case we’d end up with an unusual discussion – not liberals (Bush is bad) v conservatives (Bush is good) but conservatives (Bush is good) v ultra-religious conservatives (Bush is a tool of Satan).
An added advantage is that we avoid having silly political comments thrown around. I have the greatest respect for George Bush’s ability to avoid cheating on his wife; I’m not convinced, however, that it merits wholesale adoption of Republican talking-points.

I do not have any doubt that you are sincerely following in your heart the commandment to pray for our leaders and in this you are absolutely correct. However, that commandment was given with a purpose for those prayers. Let’s take a look at the actual verse and I will give you my “spin” on what it is stating.
I Timothy 2:I EXHORT therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Thus, if we read between the lines, the reason for prayer is so that “we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” In other words, the main aspect of this prayer is so that we would have protection from despotic rulers who are the cause of most of the disruption of a peaceable life in any given nation throughout this world. There are too many examples of people terrorized by their rulers to list.
Here in America, by the hand of God, we have enjoyed an unparalleled course of both peace and prosperity with an abundance of religious freedom. That unfortunately is slipping away and even more so while G.W. Bush has been at the helm. The kindest thing I could say about that is that perhaps he has been asleep and he has not taken notice of the total abrogation of constitutional rights occurring before our very eyes. The reality is that he has personally lead the most intensive assault against constitutional freedoms of any prior president. I’m sorry, but the news does bear this out even if they are left wing liberals. Please take a look at the Military Commissions Act and see if you feel any safer because of it.
Despite djhouk’s totally irrelevant assessment of Dr. Hovind’s situation, there are indeed numerous principles of religious freedom at stake. Please remember that there was not a single one of the laws in place in 1983 that sent Dr. Hovind to prison in 2006. Up until January 1, 1984, he would not have been accused of any crime most especially for the 58 counts against him. It was simply not against the law to not be a tax collector for the IRS if you were running a ministry of God here in this country at that time. So, djhouk, you are wrong about the fact that there are no other issues at hand and you also appear to have a vindictive streak inside of you by your comments so often placed. You have spoken your peace many times over and your further comments are tiresome as it appears that you never have anything new to add. Certainly, it appears that by the actions that he took he himself is “responsible” for the position that he now is in. I don’t think that Dr. Hovind would even argue that point, but he has the right to assert his reasons for why he did what he has done. God will take that into account when Dr. Hovind stands before him for in all things, it is what that is in the heart that matters most. Whether they were right or wrong actions is again between Dr. Hovind, his family and God, not you djhouk.

So, I do pray for our leaders that they will not take us into the land of Nazi like fascism, yet there are so many examples that we are indeed on that slippery slope already and even worse, they are greasing it every day. It is sad to me that President Bush chooses to act above the constitution in complete defiance of its authority over and over again.
Finally, you asked what treason is? Well for an elected official, the test is easy to determine for it is part of their oath to protect and defend the constitution from enemies foreign and domestic. We are all upset about the “terrorists” out there which are by the way quite real no doubt, but we are falling into the horrible governing body of fascism in exactly the manner that Jim Garrison warned. So, yes, please pray for the leaders of this nation that God would restrain their evil. President Bush is and will be known for his fruits. By the Military Commission Act alone, he has not stood in defense of the constitution, he has instead given a few men in this nation the authority to completely abrogate the Habeas Corpus rights of any and all men in this nation. That in my mind is treason. That in my mind is an overt confirmation that we are already in a fascist state and that the constitution is already dead in the eyes of those that have sworn to protect and defend it. Just ask Dr. Hovind if standing up for constitutional rights is honoured any longer in this nation. Harsh words yes, but if they are true, then Christian please wake up and take warning. Be not deceived!! Take a listen to some of the issues Paul Abramson has spoken of on his video. (Thank you Paul for seeking to stand in the gap.)
I personally believe that the trap has already been set and the sleeping church of America is in great danger already. So go ahead and be frightened by the terrorists as we see our country become the menace to the world that it already is to so many people. (Weapons of mass destruction or simply lies that have lead to mass destruction of the Iraqi people) My friends, do you not know how we really exert our power in the world? Dear Paul Abramson I don’t want to have two posts next to each other again. I however need to tell you .I don’t think I could do your job. I’m very glad that you are blessed with the ability to moderate between those who accept God’s wisdom and those who do not. As a brother in Christ I would like to express how hard it is to look back and see how we felt before salvation. At one point or another in almost all of our lives we felt as these “skeptics” that post here feel . I am 35 years young an old man to some a child to others. Why is it do you think that if you go blind you can remember what it was to see but if suddenly you can see it’s so hard to remember being blind. To love one another is something I aspire to. I had spent so long blind yet now it’s like a vague dream that brings tears at the thought . Someday soon we will all have time to get to know each other . I just wanted you to know I respect what you do. I am glad the Hovinds have friends like you and the people at CSE to help them. To see a brother in Christ locked up hurts . Sorry, but I overlooked this the first time I read it through. It is my understanding that just like the Shah of Iran, the CIA had there hands in his ascension to power through a coup that inserted the Ba’ath party into power in 1963. Saddam’s subsequent rise to power was through his own ruthlessness, which the CIA used again once he was in power. Please don’t forget the pictures of Rumsfeld visiting his “ally” Saddam in a prior administration in 1983. When he had served his purpose in the region, we again used him as an excuse to attack a sovereign nation that was not in a state of war with us.
Sorry, to be blunt, but there is much more going on here than meets the eye. Please, people of God, don’t be manipulated by propaganda and mind control techniques that are all quite real. I do not, nor would I, follow any man, and though I do support Dr. Hovind from the comfort of my daily life, I believe, I would still support him if I were in a prison cell for such support. It has occurred to me that God may not like what Dr. Hovind is doing, and it has also occurred to me that he may be more inline with the will of God than I am. Knowing what a government can do to the perfect Jesus leads me to believe that even if someone spends their entire life in prison doesn’t mean they are out of the will of God. Therefore, I am not waiting to see what the courts decide to determine if I will be a Christian brother to Dr. Hovind.

It seems odd to me that you don’t understand the very straight forward answers that Gene has given you. Where did you find any Scripture that states we are not to always have a love of all the brethren that have declared Jesus as their Saviour? You do greatly err not knowing the Scriptures on what is or is not the will of God.
Since you don’t seem to have a true recollection of your conversations with amigas, I have copied all of them here together for your benefit. Gene, aka amigas, makes it quite clear that he supports Dr. Hovind as a brother in Christ as do I and many others that know of the love of God that is within this man. Even if I had a wayward son, could the love of a father ever be broken? No, I think not even if we may or may not be happy with all actions of our children, they shall forever be of our flesh and the love of a father constrains us to always seek the perfect will of God in their lives.
Dr. Hovind will be judged by God and that is between God and Dr. Hovind and not you my hostile friend trying to stir up strife. Look back at your comments and the answers already given most adequately by amigas. If you don’t understand all of the comments, I would be more than happy to explain, but I don’t see much reason to go over any further comments with you since it appears that you choose not to understand.

I do believe there should be an individual approach to each case. And the motives of a business or ministry should be taken into consideration. What purposes does each business or ministry serve? How many prescious lives do they win, reviving people to life, or how many prescious lives do they fail, bringing them either to spiritual or physical death, paralizing whole nations? Then we will avoid immorality in the judicial system, and will gain godliness back… The Period of Christ’s Grace is still valid. He allows cynisism toward morality issues in the legacy system to grow, as much as He gives a chance for the people who serve in that system to awake and repent… He challenges such a system with the cases like Kent Hovind’s case… He exposes at what conditions nowadays people’s values are: do we fight for money to be taxed or for people who all heartedly serve the Lord to win others for the sake of Christ.
I do believe Kent Hovind loves God, not money… What is the indicator of it? How many mansions did he built for himself from the ministry incomes that he held from paying taxes? How many airplanes or boats does he own comparing to some of our all-mighty figures in the world who own more than a billion of people do, … and who can spend crazy money for gambling and prostitutes? I am sorry, but love for money takes usually to much deeper sins like sexual immorality, absuive behavior to others, etc… It is never enough when you love money… When you are focused on money only, you cannot stay proactive and creative to the higher calling in your life… Nothing of these signs I recognize in Kent Hovind…
We do need the morality maximas to be followed, not the money maximas.
If the government and its agencies convict me that they did not spend a single penny un-Constituationally or did not earn a single penny for the National budget from immoral businesses, then, I would not have any issues trusting them with no IRONY… and would have hope that their decisions are based on the highly moral values. “There have been comments made on the evilness of President Bush, I am not a professional but I do have an opinion.
Recently in the last 2 weeks there were threats made again on the United States and said they would do something if the USA would not leave Iraq. The terrorists also stated that we should stop supporting Israel. There is more at stake here than just Iraq. They are vehemently angry that Israel is being helped and supported by the USA. They have stated over and over again they want to destroy Israel.
God hates Violence, but because of evil men, protection has to come to help the people. From what I understand that is why the USA went to Iraq, was to oust Saddam who out of his own mouth has stated he aided the terrorists. Who compared himself with King Nebecanezzer, of Babylon. Even had coins printed up with his image and Nebecanezzers side by side each other. He had at least 7 gold palaces, paid for by monies that should have went to the people. Evidently at one time he deceived the USA and was helped to get in power there, I don’t know much about that. But he was not voted in, he took Iraq by dictatorship.
Any leader is responsible and accountable to the people he is in authority over. It is amazing to me that Bill Clinton remained popular in spite of the fact he was committing adultry over and over in the White House and God knows what else was going on.
But President Bush is being attacked the likes I have never seen before. When is it called treason? What is treason? The man has been faithful to his wife, and done more good and has kept another attack from happening on our soil. If America were to pull out of Iraq the wrong way, you can count on the terrorists seeing this as a sign of weakness and will attack the USA. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I missed the entire revocation of the Posse Comitatus Act on the same day that President Bush signed into law the Military Commissions Act. (No wonder, I couldn’t find a single news article about it on a Google search today. It was not at all advertised what was done by these men.) (And some of you insist that conspiracy theories are bogus delusions of paranoid weirdos. I believe that if that is your mindset, you will wake up too late before it is upon you and in your face. Who will you call upon to help you on that day??) Certainly these are the two most dangerous laws in recent times that we know about and they are both filled with treasons against the Constitution and the people of America and for that matter the people of the world. I know that the breaking down of doors in the middle of the night is only waiting for another 911 to occur. I wonder how soon they plan to do that my friends?
The Posse Comitatus Act had up until October 17, 2006 “helped to enforce strict prohibitions on military involvement in domestic law enforcement.” In other words, it prevented a central control of the military against its own people which is one of the central tenants of dictatorial powers. This is now gone!!! prior to this, any military use with the National Guard was done by the individual governors. Now the federal government can enact these resources nationally.
We no longer have any Constitutional protections against a despotic government. And so many on this blog don’t believe Dr. Hovind had high principles to take a stand on the issue of church sovereignty based on the Constitution. Well, that likewise is gone as well. It appears to me that on the books and laws of this current government are all the provisions to overnight turn our once principled government into a dictatorial nightmare for not only America but the entire world. Where is America in Bible prophecy anyway??? Hmmmm, perhaps you should look at Revelation 13:11-12 QUITE CLOSELY MY FRIENDS. What is happening to Dr. Hovind is a direct example of what many of us are likely to face soon as well.

A fact, you say, has been established. This is critical to everything. How was this “fact” established.
1. By the “ruling” of a Judge? or
2. By the deliberation and verdict of a sui juris, well instructed, majority of at least 10, determination of a Jury.
You see, I maintain that it was the responsibility of a Jury and a Jury alone to consider both the fact you assert and the “mens rea” – without that “mens rea” there should never have been a conviction.

When Jesus called a woman a dog he was not being derogatory. When he described lawyers as white washed sepulchres I think he was. Men perverting justice, Jesus reserved some very harsh language for. There is a biblical judgement and biblical day of reckoning. Jesus used a whip on the money changers of his day – and that was in the epoch of divine grace. How much more shall be poured out upon heathen Christ denying dogs in the day of His Righteous anger and wrath.

The Smell of rain.
A cold March wind danced around the dead of night in Dallas as
the doctor walked into the small hospital room of Diana Blessing. She
was still groggy from surgery.
Her husband, David, held her hand as they braced themselves for
the latest news.
That afternoon of March 10, 1991, complications had forced Diana,
only 24-weeks pregnant, to undergo an emergency Cesarean to deliver
couple’s new daughter, Dana Lu Blessing.
At 12 inches long and weighing only one pound nine ounces, they
already knew she was perilously premature.
Still, the doctor’s soft words dropped like bombs.
“I don’t think she’s going to make it,” he said, as kindly as he
could.
“There’s only a 10-percent chance she will live through the
night, and even then, if by some slim chance she does make it, her
future could be a very cruel one”
Numb with disbelief, David and Diana listened as the doctor
described the devastating problems Dana would likely face if she
survived.
She may never walk, she may never talk, she would probably be
blind, and she would certainly be prone to other catastrophic conditions
from cerebral palsy to complete mental retardation, and on and on.
“No! No!” was all Diana could say.
She and David, with their 5-year-old son Dustin, had long dreamed
of the day they would have a daughter to become a family of four.
Now, within a matter of hours, that dream was slipping away
But as those first days passed, a new agony set in for David and
Diana. Because Dana’s underdeveloped nervous system was essentially
‘raw’, the lightest kiss or caress only intensified her discomfort, so
they couldn’t even cradle their tiny baby girl against their chests to
offer the strength of their love.
All they could do, as Dana struggled alone beneath the
ultraviolet light in the tangle of tubes and wires, was to pray that God
would stay close to their precious little girl.
There was never a moment when Dana suddenly grew stronger.
But as the weeks went by, she did slowly gain an ounce of weight
here and an ounce of strength there.
At last, when Dana turned two months old. her parents were able
to hold her in their arms for the very first time.
And two months later, though doctors continued to gently but
grimly warn that her chances of surviving, much less living any kind of
normal life, were next to zero, Dana went home from the hospital, just
as her mother had predicted.
Five years later, when Dana was a petite but feisty young girl
with glittering gray eyes and an unquenchable zest for life.
She showed no signs whatsoever of any mental or physical
impairment. Simply, she was everything a little girl can be and more.
But that happy ending is far from the end of her story.
One blistering afternoon in the summer of 1996 near her home in
Irving, Texas, Dana was sitting in her mother’s lap in the bleachers of
a local ball park where her brother Dustin’s baseball team was
practicing.
As always, Dana was chattering nonstop with her mother and
several other adults sitting nearby when she suddenly fell silent.
Hugging her arms across her chest, little Dana asked, “Do you smell
that?”
Smelling the air and detecting the approach of a thunderstorm,
Diana replied, “Yes, it smells like rain.”
Dana closed her eyes and again asked, “Do you smell that?”
Once again, her mother replied, “Yes dear, I think we’re about to get
wet. It smells like rain.”
Still caught in the moment, Dana shook her head, patted her thin
shoulders with her small hands and loudly announced,
“No, it smells like Him.
It smells like God when you lay your head on His chest.”
Tears blurred Diana’s eyes as Dana happily hopped down to play
with the other children.
Before the rains came, her daughter’s words confirmed what Diana
and all the members of the extended Blessing family had known, at least
in their hearts, all along.
During those long days and nights of her first two months of her
life, when her nerves were too sensitive for them to touch her, The Lord was
holding Dana on His chest and it is His loving scent that she remembers
so well.

“Lord please, bless the person who is reading this, their family, friends and loved ones.
They deserve it and I love them very much” The love of God is like an endless ocean, you can see its beginning, but not its end.
ANGELS DO EXIST but some times, since they don’t all have wings, we pass them in the street unaware, or they walk past us with a smile and a loving stare.

I haven’t read all the blog entries, and don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but here is an interesting comparison: When “Rev.” Sun Myung Moon, leader and founder of the Unification Church, (Moonies), was arrested for tax evasion, and we’re talking millions of dollars, he got an 18 month sentence-18 MONTHS! And he probably didn’t serve it all. Now, a couple years ago, he was crowned, yes, crowned, King of Peace in one of our own congressional buildings in Washington DC by members of congress, both parties, and many religious leaders. And Kent Hovind, a good man who, at the worst, made a mistake with who he hired to advise him on his taxes, owning less than $50,000.00 in taxes, is given 10 years, and has been sent into solitary in a maximum security facility, that holds murderers and such. Go figure!

To summarise;
History tells of Hitler, entering office in free and fair elections, yet within just 3-6 months, Germany was a one party state dictatorship. The method used by Hitler to do this was terrorism….
The Reichstag building burned down (an act of terrorism hitting the heart of Germany), Hitler blamed the communists (I guess terrorists at that time were called communists). President Hindenburg then gave Hitler emergency powers to Protect the “People and the State”.
Hitler (and his cronies) were the real terrorists, they created the problem (burning down the Reichstag).
The people of Germany reacted fearing a communist takeover (again I guess that, since it hadn’t been so long since the Russian revolution, the fear was real).
The solution was to give Hitler the power to fight the perceived threat on behalf of the people. Hitler became the ‘Hero’ of the hour, the only man ready & prepared to fight such an evil.
The plan worked brilliantly, Hitler took the stance that you were either with him or with the terrorists. All visible opposition was quelled.
Just to note… Hitler never lost power through the will of the German people, Hitler lost power through Germany being invaded.
There is nothing to say that this same plan that Hitler used, with a little adaptation due to modern media (internet freedoms etc) couldn’t happen today.
If the plan was enacted within a nation which would was more powerful and harder to invade…. It might actually stand the test of time (that would be of course until Jesus returned).

Those that don’t remember history are doomed to repeat it. We are a little over the 50 year limit on that supposition since WWII. I hope no one on this blog still operates under the delusion that Americans or even Englishmen visiting America have any guaranteed rights any more. If there is some one that wishes to abrogate your “lawful” constitutional rights, they can by law. Imagine that here in the land of the free and the brave. If this does not give you the willies given the history of atrocities at the hands of dictatorial governments in the last 200 years alone, then I truly don’t understand what principles of liberty that you do support.

Well, perhaps I was wrong about that assessment. I left Alaska when I was 10 but have enjoyed hunting and fishing and camping since from Maine to Colorado. Food, food, food protection is the most important part of any campsite. Secondly, hook up with someone familiar with the terrain that you are going into, take your bear pepper spray (30 feet for 10 seconds spray, don’t settle for something less. All members in your party should have the spray) and get real smart on how smart these animals really are. Attacks are almost always preventable with proper preparation and a great deal of respect for them. However, it is moose that actually kill more people every year in car accidents. Alaska is a great place but treat it with great respect. 2 of my childhood friends died in the elements in their late twenties and early thirties and they were experts since early in life in the outdoors. Beautiful place but still quite wild.
