Sorry it has been so long for this update. I have been moved several times, and my mail has not followed me. It has been weeks since I have gotten mail. Someone decided I should be separated from another inmate who is apparently fighting the IRS so that we don’t get involved in “criminal activity.” We have different judges and different issues and I am sure that neither of us want to get in any “criminal activity” separately or together.
I had begun sharing Christ with this man and he was beginning to ask questions. Although I barely know him and had spoken with him only a few times, I was earnestly praying that God would allow me to be instrumental in his salvation.
Instead, I was moved to Marianna, Florida. The only place they had to keep me was the suicide watch cell in solitary confinement! It was a seven foot by fourteen foot cell. Its concrete slab in the middle to sleep on was surrounded by steel rings used for tying people down. I got out one hour a day to exercise in a bigger cage, but for eight days, it was just the Lord and I.
That was quite an experience! God was so good. I sang every song that I could remember and read the “Good News Bible” that they had there. It was a very hard experience, but a time of revival for me as well. I pray that I do not have to endure it again.
Then I was told I was being moved. I had leg irons, hand cuffs, and a waist chain for the entire six and-a-half hours. The restraints get real uncomfortable real quick. I was moved to Tallahassee, a much nicer holding facility with about forty other men. There was a small library area with a small table where I could read and study. It was clean, well-lit, and quiet. The best CO’s I have encountered were there. They treated the men firmly but with respect.
I had the opportunity to read several books that I have been wanting to read for a long time. Frank Peretti’s book “This Present Darkness” was especially encouraging to me.
I am also writing a new book, “Help, I’m a Public School Student.” I plan for it to be written in an “E-mail” format with students writing in questions for me to answer and geared for the Junior High and High School student. Although it is more difficult to write without any research materials or my computer, I am making progress and have about twenty-five pages written so far.
Next, I was told I was being moved to South Carolina via a transfer in Atlanta. After being taken out at 4:45 a.m., God answered my prayer to be allowed to be “the orderly” for the trip. The orderly passes out drinks and cleans up the messes. I was very grateful I was granted this privilege, because it meant that I did not have to be chained for the three hour trip.
I witnessed to a famous man during this part of the journey. He was not open to the gospel, but I pray that the seed I planted will be used by God to help reach him for Christ.
At present I remain in the United States Penitentiary, a maximum security facility. I am told that I will again be moved without notice at some future time. I must close as my four-inch pencil dulls so quickly!
I continue to plead to God for my wife’s sentencing, for the CSE Team and the Creation Ministry, for a Stay request to be granted while our case is on appeal, and for our case to be overturned.
Above all, God is still in charge. Thank you to those of you who have been faithful in supporting us with prayer and finances. Thank you!
The prison system is an incredible mission field! The needs are so great that it is overwhelming. The federal system gives long sentences so many inmates are very depressed and angry. I continue to try to minister to the many, many hurting people with whom I come in contact. Let’s each continue yielding each day to HIS leading for HIS glory.

Jobs friends (although I doubt that you are Dr. Hovind’s friend) were accusatory and yet God was allowing bad things to happen because, “I believe” Job was teachable.
Dear amigas, if God simply allows bad things to happen, then there’s very little point in praying to Him, is there? The problem, of course, is that God-allowing-bad-things-to-happen is almost indistinguishable from bad-things-just-happening.

Well, what a wonderful government that we have. I wonder if they go to this same extent to keep drug dealers, thieves, murderers, rapists and gang members apart when they likewise start talking to each other in prison?? Well, not in the prison that I go and preach anyway. “Special treatment” is what is being offered to Dr. Hovind but not the kind that any man would wish upon even FuManchu. And further, just what kind of “criminal activity” can a “tax evader/protestor” do while confined in prison not earning money?? Wow, quite an amazing story. And people want to claim that Dr. Hovind is not being persecuted for his beliefs??

On another note…When our court system can put you in prison for 10 years and release hardened murders and convicted sex offenders after a few months or a few years something is seriously wrong here!!!!!! The cost in our tax dollars alone to provide for our prisoners is outrageous and needs to have better checks and balances! Lets start putting the blame and penaties where they are needed and due!

Here’s a little lesson for you unruly children:
There once was a little boy who often made mistakes. He tried and he tried to do what he thought was right, but he often messed up anyway. Once day the little boy was running in the playground and he became distracted. He stumbled into a pothole, tripped, and fell face first into a big pile of mud. He sat up he wiped the muck away from his eyes, and found himself surrounded by a bunch of other children. Many of them were pointing at him and laughing. “Ha ha, look what you did, you are stupid!” they called out. Some children came close to the little boy, scooped up mud, and threw it in his face. The majority of the children didn’t do anything, they simply stood there and stared, or discussed amongst themselves whose fault it was. After a few minutes, however, there was one child who pushed his way through the crowd and held out a hand to help the boy stand on his feet.
Which one of those children would you want to be? The moral of this story applies to everyone, regardless of faith. Is it the boy’s fault that he fell down because he wasn’t paying attention, or it is the playground’s fault for not fixing the pothole? Was the pothole deliberately left there to hurt unsuspecting children? Why was the mud there? Did someone trip the boy, or push him?
None of this really matters. The point is, the boy fell down and was hurt and now he is feeling really bad. Laughing at someone’s misfortune is inappropriate no matter what the situation is. Most people have committed crimes in their lives that could have cost them some jail or prison time were they caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. There are a lot of unenforced laws out there (copying movies for your friends, speeding, adultery, etc.) that people continually get away with. LOTS of people cheat on their taxes. Please stop passing judgement on Dr. Hovind. None of you are any better, he’s just the one who got caught.

There has to be a real reason for your anger. Don’t let yourself become the voice of evil. Jesus died for you. He was beaten beyond human recognition and hung on a cross. He could have saved himself, but he chose to make his body a living sacrifice for you. Saul was one that persecuted Christains, those who stood against the government of their day. Then a voice asked him, “Saul, why do you persecute me?” Saul replied, “Who are you, Lord?” The voice replied, “I am Jesus, who you are persecuting”. You see, Saul wasn’t there when Jesus was on the cross, but he put Christians in prison and killed them. Did he put Jesus in prison? No, but Jesus implied that Saul was hurting Him by hurting those He loved. I pray that you will see this too. I don’t know you, but I love you. No matter how much you disagree with me, I still love you. There is hope for your soul. All you have to do is pray: Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. I know you died for me. Please forgive me of my sins and come into my heart. I know that you are God. I love you, Jesus. Thank you for forgiving me and cleansing me of my sins.
If you prayed that prayer and meant it, then you are now a Christian.
This blog may be mocked by you, but I pray it won’t. The more you mock, the harder your heart will become. Jesus wants you to be full of love and compassion. Please, don’t pass Jesus by.

It is amazing that you would expect to be on-par with God’s reasoning. Your logic says that if you cannot understand it, you will not consider it. The creator of a work is always more than the work. Render unto Caesar THAT WHICH IS CAESARS, and Dr Hovinds ministry does not belong to the government, it belongs to God just as all Churches worldwide do. Maybe you forgot to RENDER UNTO GOD THAT WHICH IS GOD’S?

Good to hear from you Kent. Still praying for comfort in times of persecution and uncertainty. Song goes ‘Many things about tomorrow I don’t seem to understand, but I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand’. Keep holding on, He’ll never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
And no, FuManchu, ‘nor forsake thee’ does not mean God won’t let bad things happen to us. It means no matter what type of storms may develop in our lives, He’ll still be there to pull us out.
Too many folks, much like you Fu, constantly believe that since God is God, he has the power to never see his children go through tough times. If you were edified in scripture, you’d know that the life of a Christian is quite the opposite. Bible tells us that we are expected to be persecuted for the name of Jesus. What you don’t understand is why. So you assume we serve a wicked God who would allow bad things to happen to those he loves.
Let’s make it real simple. God doesn’t cause storms in our lives. God will open us to temptation, but he allows us to chose whether or not we fall into that temptation, or cleave to our faith and stay in the will of God. You see, we are made in his image. Of course this means we carry attributes of God, that includes free will to choose what we do in our lives. That free will is a gift of God, but can also be a henderence if we wield it carelessly. It is when we get out of the will of God, or do that which we know isn’t right in God’s eyes is when we cause those storms of life to hit.
Tho we as saved children of God cause the storms in our lives due to our own pride and lusts, God won’t forsake us to complete devestation in our lives. He’ll always offer a way out, it may be death, but remember, to a saved child of God, death is nothing more than an exit of life and an entrance into eternity with God the Father.
You may not understand it, and if you haven’t accepted the gift of God which is salvation through the shed blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, you’ll never understand it, because to understand why we are to be joyous in even perilous times, you must first realize that you are a lost sinner, who is unworthy of life. There is nothing you can do to save yourself which would cause you to submit fully to the only way into Heaven, God’s Gift… by His mercy, He sent His Son to die in our place, and by His grace, through faith, we are awarded eternity in Heaven with Him and His Son.
Again, anyone who is evidentally lost, isn’t possibly capable of understanding why the sinner saved by grace feels the way they do about the service and sacrafice they freely give to their saviour.
Anyway, Kent… I’m praying for you and your son Eric. I understand he’s doing well carrying the torch so-to-speak. We’ll keep you close in our prayers in hopes that God will shine his mercery and grace upon you and your family. Remember what Job said… The Lord gave, and the Lord take away, blessed be the name of the Lord.
I had the honor of sitting with Bro. John Greene this evening after our service, Kent. I didn’t know but in conversation your name surfaced. He said he went to school with you. It was nice to hear from one good man of God about another. We spoke just about about you as I would consider it an honor to meet with you someday. It was good to hear that who you are in your tapes is exactly who you are in person. I do hope to have the pleasure of meeting you one day, but if not in this world, we’ll talk it over in the by and by.

What makes you any different than the other Americans that have to pay taxes? You use the Bible to gain income for yourself and your family. Now you’ve been sentenced to prison for all the lies, fraud and decietful things you’ve done. You and your wife deserve every miserable minute that you spend in prison? You are ruining peoples lives and fail to care. You have been compared to David Koresh. What you are getting in prison is no comparison to the punishment that you will receive in hell. It is good to hear from you again. It is good to hear you are doing well and staying busy about our Father’s business. My wife and I are appalled by all that has happened in your case and we are doing all we can to help. I believe that God is sovereign and He is working all things according to His will. But I also believe that when we see our brother in such need, when we see what appears to be such a huge injustice, we are not only to pray, but we are to act.
I have sent out many letters and will continue to work to bring public attention to what has happened in your case. Keep in mind you have many brothers and sisters who are indebted to you for how the Lord has used you to help us in our walk with Christ. Never forget your labor is not in vain in the Lord!
I would also remind you: we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Because of your bold stand for the Word you have made many enemies. But greater is He who is in us, then he who is in the world!
You are in our prayers, your wife is in our prayers, and CSE is in our prayers. Let us know if there is anyway we can stand with you and we will be there. Sandy and I will be moving back to Florida late next year and plan on coming to Pensacola to visit.

I am so glad to be able to kind of keep up with what is happening to you. I am thankful for your ministry and for the the CDs that you have shared with us. I am thankful that you are keeping your focus on our Lord and our Father. I know as it gets rougher for all of us, that we can keep our focus too, in spite of all the sand slinging that is sure to try and distract us from our hold on the true reality that we can walk through whatever comes, for He has already done it; and He says we can too, as long as we keep our eyes on Him. Thank you for surrendering your will to Him and following His lead. You are in our prayers, as is your family, and ministry. God is able to complete what He has started. I’ve been waiting to see where you would be housed long-term before writing, but I see you have some helpers keeping your blog updated
First off, I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers daily and I hope that this finds you in good spirits and good health. I want you to know that your ministry has had a great influence on my life and the lives of my family. You have a very special and important gift and your teachings were instrumental in freeing not only my mind from my public school “indoctrination” into evolution, but also that of my children and many of my friends.
I’ve been following your case, but there aren’t any specifics posted and it’s tough to tell from what the media has reported what exactly is going on with your case. I’m in law enforcement in our area and what is most astonishing to me is how you are being treated,…for a non-violent crime. Even the likes of Al Capone wasn’t treated like that!
Regardless, I am your brother, and not your judge. I pray for your deliverance from what appears to me to be an orchestrated effort to keep your from freely teaching ALL of God’s Word, or about the dangers of evolutionary thinking. When one accurately and honestly represents God’s teachings, the “principalities and powers” of this world recoil in fear.
We have spoken on several occasions and we’ve met at one of your seminars. I’ve made many copies of your tapes and DVD’s to pass around to interested people. The seeds you have sown continue to grow and flourish! I look forward to the day when you can pick up where you left off!
I’ve wanted to tell you about some online exchanges I got into with some atheists who were attacking you and reveling in regards to your situation. They were truly vile and hateful people and I’m afraid I didn’t respond in a way that you would approve of. Have you seen or heard about the new video of Nessie? A scientist was working at the Loch, doing some research, and he got what appears to be very good evidence found thus far. I hope you get to see it soon if you haven’t already.

Let me start by saying that I do disagree with your views on taxes. Jesus himself payed the Temple Tax, and provided for his disciples to be covered. Nevertheless, I find prison for this situation ridiculous. Now that the government has won its case, they are getting their money, that should be the price, plus penalties they assess. THis whole thing is strange. There are murderers who have gotten less time. Also, when are yo eligible for parole, they get off after a few years if they behave, why won’t you.
Don’t let agermany or fu man chu get under your skin, theswe foolish minds think we are foolish, as Paul told us they would. They are rejoicing in our suffering now, we will weep at theirs in eternity. People filed with hate will never understand those of us filed with love for the lost.
I will be praying for your release ASAP. I only wish this could have al; been avoided, you are needed in the struggle, but it sounds like you are needed where you are as well. Keep witnessing, we will be praying.

Please don’t misunderstand me, I’m on Kent’s side and think the prison sentencing is uncalled for and feel the govt should simply issue a financial fine for the money they feel they are owed and that should be the end of it, but I do need to point out that you are quoting the Bible out of context and unfortunately changing the meaning of Jesus’ very clear response that we are to pay taxes to the Government, as I’m sure Kent agrees with. With that being said, Jesus was asked by the Pharasies if it was lawful to pay taxes and Jesus’s response was “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s”. So in essence Jesus is saying to pay your taxes to the government yet give your life/heart/soul to God since he wants it and created it. You must remember, the Jews were oppressed by the idolatrous Roman Government at that time so his response to Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s probably went over like a lead balloon but none the less he got his point accross pretty clearly.

Are you suggesting I should give what’s left of my money to an incredibly unsafe 401(k)program were anyone like ENRON can steal my money. Or maybe that instead of tithing to God I could use my tithe to cheat my beloved government. As far as free enterprise try selling something and then count how many people and organizations you pay a cut to. As the majority of people know the Freedom of Religion and Free Enterprise have been destroyed by constitutional ammendments ,lawyers, politicians and judges. Here is a very simple question: if the constitution was written to be very easy to understand (see writings of Jefferson, Washington, Adams and others that journaled) How come the appointed supreme court never has a unanimous decision ?
