Subject: Re: Give Me Wisdom!
kh: God, I don’t understand. You told your children to seek after wisdom, didn’t You (James 1:5)?
God: Yes, son. Wisdom is the principal thing. Get wisdom (Proverbs 4:7).
kh: Yet Your Word says, “In much wisdom is much grief and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow” (Ecclesiastes 1:18). I’ve asked You for wisdom many times, Lord.
God: Yes, son, so far you’ve asked me 181,046 times or about twelve times a day since you got saved. You do ask for wisdom a lot, son. What is the problem? I’ve given it to you each time.
kh: The more I learn about what is happening in the world, the more sorrow I have. Solomon was right, God. Why do you tell us to ask for wisdom (James 1:5) knowing it will bring sorrow?
God: I lived on earth for thirty-three and a half years as a man, son. I was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief (Isaiah 53:3). I knew everything, even what people were thinking (Matthew 9:4; 12:15). When the rich young ruler rejected me, both he and I were sorrowful (Luke 18:23). I completely understand!
kh: But, Lord, world events are frightening! Christians are being killed and tortured by the thousands every year, Lord. The “Voice of the Martyrs” reports that more Christians have died in the last hundred years than died in the previous 1,900 years. This knowledge gives me great grief!
God: It is true, son. Evil men and seducers are waxing worse and worse (II Timothy 3:13) just as I foretold. These are the birth pangs, son. This age is coming to a close. I will be setting up my kingdom soon (Isaiah 65:17; II Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1)!
Your sorrow is well founded but only short term. You need new glasses, son. You are nearsighted.
kh: But Solomon was the wisest man ever and he said wisdom causes grief.
God: Son, think about it. What is the theme of Ecclesiastes?
kh: It is about man’s view of the world “under the sun.” From man’s perspective, life is vanity.
God: That’s right, son. From man’s perspective (under the sun), wisdom causes grief. I don’t live under the sun. The sun won’t even be needed in My new kingdom (Revelation 21:23). Solomon was right that wisdom “under the sun” brings grief, but My wisdom is from above. Go ahead and seek My wisdom, son. If your treasures are on earth, wisdom will bring sorrow; but if you set your affections on things above (Colossians 3:2), my wisdom will bring great joy.
It is true that bad times are coming soon, but I have everything under control. Evil men are planning a one-world government, but I’m laughing at the whole thing, son (Psalms 2:1-3). Keep praying for My kingdom to come (Matthew 6:10). Serve Me with gladness (Psalms 100:2). I’ll fix everything one day soon.
kh: Thanks, God. I love you.
God: I love you too, son. More than you can know.

Dear Samphire,
I agree that ancient castles had locks, etc. The value of human life goes up and down with each generation in each culture. (Slavery too predates the modern acceptance of an even lower value for ALL human life.)
Pirates and Pilgrims lived at the same time, but with radically different value systems.
Every generation has seen murder. Cain, when he killed Abel, was certainly a creationist, one could contend. “Am I my brother’s keeper?” he replied, as he mentally hid from what he had done.
What I contend evolution does in the human mind is that it takes one who had sharp sticks to (justify) attacks on others and gives that person (encouraged mental justification) an Uzi; evolution mentally justifies the most wicked and vile behavior. In fact it encourages such things. Now it takes time to fill a society; it takes generations for it to come to full fruition. But Western society is already far down that road.
We are partially subconscious and partially conscious in our thoughts and deeds. Sometimes a person doesn’t know why he or she decided to do something.

Dear Jersey Girl,
Most of what is on my website has been my own research over the last 14 years. I was saved through the study of Bible prophecy beginning in June of 1993 as I was led by a faithful brother in the Lord. At first, I simply studied to be able to argue with him on a more even footing. However, the Lord subsequently showed me in a quite explicit fashion that the Bible is the true, literal Word of God in November of 1994 when I got saved. Some time after that, I started to read the Bible more than the books by the so called experts on Bible prophecy and immediately started to come across discrepancies in what the “experts” stated and what the Bible stated. This was the start of a very in depth search on my part to sort out these differences. Thankfully, I made the correct choice and believed the Bible alone and I thus cannot recommend these other authors since they have not stayed faithful to what God’s Word states very clearly on many issues.
Thus, these other sources provided me with the goal of overcoming their false teachings on several points such as the “Roman Antichrist.” Sorry, but the Bible makes it quite clear that the antichrist will come from the Greek and not the Roman Empire. Thus, I do not recommend these authors or their works because after learning their conclusions very intently, it took me at least two years to learn what the Bible stated alone and to undo the false teachings from these men.
However, there are parts of my work that did come from that research from these other authors such as the day that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the exact day in fulfillment of Daniel chapter 9 which I have seen by more than one author. I truly do not know whose original work saw that correlation. The only difference was that I didn’t start at the date that they are trying to prove is the starting point of the 70 weeks in 444 BC, I started with the known age of Jesus and then went backwards to establish the 444 BC date which is the correct mathematical method. The first place that I saw it was in one of Grant Jeffries books, but he is again unfaithful on several other points, so I do not recommend his writings as the source of learning Bible prophecy. Other than that, most of what is in my work came from what the Lord has led me to discover through the Bible alone and through other sources all of which I have listed.
You will see that the overwhelming references I have cited in this work is the Bible alone. I have listed the architect of the Capitol’s listings showing the pagan sun god influence throughout Washington D.C. The web links are for the most part active, but I am in the process of going back and reviving these links in conjuncture with someone else that participates on CSE who is helping me to edit the entire work. His input and critique of this work has been invaluable to me and we are about half way through the entire site doing this. He has a very keen eye for detail and has caught many of my typos and other writing errors. I greatly appreciate all of his comments and at times corrections.
So, you asked me for my major source, here it is: the King James Bible. My other sources are for the most part already listed in the work itself. I strongly recommend that to all and then accompanied with prayer and supplication that the Holy Spirit would guide you unto all truths. That is the main resource that I have depended on in all of these writings. That is what I also therefore recommend to you. We must understand that ALL spiritual understanding is a gift from God the Father. (James 1:17) So, do as I have done these several years, and seek first His righteousness and His wisdom from the Bible and through the Holy Spirit on your knees in meekness and in the shadow of His wings.
May God bless,
Peter
My dear Samphire,
Fair enough, You are correct that I did not respond due to some of the other issues going on here at CSE and other projects I am involved in. However, I don’t think I am going to buy the book you recommended, but I am starting to see what I can find on different websites on icefish. It appears that hemoglobin is not needed due to the high oxygen content and direct oxygen absorption through the skin of these ice fish. Yet, just looking at their morphology, they do not look like any other sea critter that I have seen. Yes, the hemoglobin genes appear to be present and are degenerated. This again is another “example” of evolution by LOSS of genes, and not by an increase in genes. I came across another website that states there are NO examples of mutations that lead to an increase in information. Let me list it so you can look it over. Royal Truman answers the issues raised by Dawkins on his website and the mutations/information issue.
http://www.trueorigin.org/dawkinfo.asp
I also have a couple brief web pages on the ice fish. But in specific, this is not an example of a mutation leading to an increase in genetic information and that in my mind is something that should be evident with numerous examples if the ToE is correct. This is the same question that Richard Dawkins did not have a good answer for either. That is the entire debate as far as I can see it. In any case, this is a very interesting little creature and I will try to become more familiar with its specifics. Thank you for the example.
May God bless,
Peter

ISTVAN WROTE: I am no scientist, so I can do that. So what do you do, when you want to hear about the latest news on Evolution? Go to an accredited research institute and invite the chief scientist for a daily chat? I do not think so. You most likely read science journals and magazines. Who contribute to those journals and magazines? Scientists. So you spot an article, [...EDITED...]

Istvan, I’m not talking about whether or not you and I have the right to defer to experts via internet links or YouTube videos. You and I aren’t scientists, so we will have to defer to the experts from time to time.
When you were referring to what I was looking for, your final point was that I see an article and ‘it’s published in a real science journal’, and that once I see that it’s met some basic criteria, then I am accepting of it. My point to you, regarding your experts, is that they DON’T publish in real science journals, [...EDITED...]

I really think it’s past time for each preacher, of the religion of evolution to explain their particular brand of evolution/religion. To the theistic/evolutionist/creationists maybe you could explain yours also; whether it was God, aliens, supreme being/s or if everything was brought on a turtle’s back. Please also explain [...EDITED...]

To paraphrase Kent Hovind: if you repeat a small lie many times, they will believe a big lie.
Let it be known that Hovind was quoting Hitler. And Hitler was referring to the actions of Jews hiding lies and nothing about his own political tactics. This is just one of many anti-Semitic clangers which have been used by Hovind.
I purchased LTB/24hrs and have listened to all 24 while working in my shop. You would be suprised how hard it is to wash the grease off my hands to rewind the program for a customer while on the phone with the parts house and stil remember exactly where I left off tracing the shorted wire in the pimped out escort gt with the spinner hubcaps and $2000.00 boom box. If you can take a deep breath and ponder how hard it is to let it back out, you have some idea. (for those who don’t know my humor, it’s easy for me, and I dig it.)
Dear Lord God, I love the work you have given me, and I’ll take all you allow me to do.
I, for one more, would love to go through this series with y’all!
Brother Michael Deas
rigtheous people don’t need forgiveness of sins.
thus, does the religion of evolution, attract so very much self righteousness.
With every gut-shot Iraqi child, limp in a grieving parent’s arms, we see a bullet that is sold. And a profit that is made. With every suffering, limbless soldier, the military-industrial complex sees a reason to persist. And finds more profits to be made. With every tank that’s ripped-apart, with every screaming, dying civilian, the White House imagines a “surge” that is working. And sees a profit for a friend.
A government that endorses mass murder for profit, and calls it war, deserves no latitude. It deserves a cage.
And so do we, if we stand by in passive assent. Every American deserves what he tolerates. The time for tolerance is over.
There’s only one candidate for President of the United States in 2008 who has the depth of understanding, and the character, necessary to place meaningful restraints upon our profit-centered system of cowardly warmongering – Ron Paul.
Positions of Dr. Paul’s that would help achieve this objective include:
Getting rid of the Federal Reserve, which functions as the financial enabler of war, as well as its head-coach.
Forcing politicians in favor of war to make a formal declaration of war, as specified in the Constitution.
To which I would add:
Patriotism requires that the profit-motive be put-aside in time of war. Therefore, financially profiting from a soldier’s courage, and, possibly, from the sacrifice of a soldier’s life, should be forbidden by law.
By law, every elected representative espousing war must either personally ship-off to battle, or, send a close family member in his stead.
The Ron Paul Revolution is, among other things, a revolution to reclaim our original American spirit, a spirit mangled, at least since the time of Lincoln, by the passive acceptance, and tacit encouragement, of state-sponsored mass-murder for profit.
With God’s help, it is a revolution that will come to pass
On Oct 3rd, PA said in a note:
“[EDITOR’S NOTE: How long are you going to whine about me exposing what your religion leads to? I have not accused you personally. But look at the trends; as folks come to believe evolution they will act more and more upon its teachings. We are falling from a Judeo-Christian based society, to an evolution based society. That will take its toll upon every family in the country. P.A. ]”
Paul,
I admit to not being fully educated in American History, but I think I have a fairly good understanding of this country’s founding and development to the present. Today, the United States is populated by a predominately Christian citizenry. A significant number, a majority, believe in the Genesis account of creation, regulary attend church services, and believe in Heaven and Hell. A very small minority consider themselves atheists, generally less than 7% of the population. Only about 1/3rd of Americans believe in some concept of evolution.
What behaviors today exist that didn’t exist prior to 1859? Was there prostitution, domestic violence, abortion, murder, rape, mass murders (this time it’s the poor Native Americans, not gazelles), drug use and abuse, alchoholism, oppression of lower class and minorities…this list is endless?
Were people, prior to 1859, more devout in worship and lifestyle? Did they display the works and worship that God commands?
I’m sorry, but I don’t think that today’s America is frightfully much worse than any other period in our history. Except for technology, which has made the furtherest corner of the world a part of our home. When the nightly news was only 15 minutes long each evening, there wasn’t time to report on the abandoned baby in a dumpster, or the teenage drug deal gone bad. Now one is bombarded with empty calory news and reports. Who in America buys People magazine, Playboy, Maxim, Cosmopolitan? Can’t be just the 20 million atheists!
In closing, I will agree that this country was founded largely by people of some Christian persuasion. I will agree that some communities were expressly founded on “Christian” principles. I strongly disagree that the Constitution is a Christian document, and that our Government is a Christian one by design.
If we want to debate this, I will need some time to pull together all my supporting references.
Sincerely,
Michael
[EDITOR'S NOTE: I think you have posted in the past, correct? But you do not post often, if I recall correctly. Well, we have ended the creation vs. evolution debate. Your comments are definitely worthy of consideration, so they are above. But again note that the C-E debate is ended, and my previous comments were a part of that, to my understanding of (generalized) trends in the US. No, I do not wish to debate this here at this time, sorry. But you could watch Dr. Hovind's Seminar #1, or #5 for related information, if interested. P.A. ]
Dear P.A. In response to your accusations, the work in question is freely downloadable from http://www.harvestimebooks.com in the form of a bible-tract PDF doc. These can be printed out and freely distributed. It was never my intend to “claim” the work for myself, I only wanted share it with others on your blog. I could not add a “link” as I only had a printed PDF. Therefore it was typed out. I did not add the author name, admittedly a mistake on my part, but I never added my own name at the end either. Therefore I decline to repent, but rather resent your accusations.I council you to hearken unto the words of Paul: “Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts” 1Cor 4:5. Or maybe I should get written permission from Paul before quoting him, otherwise I run the risk of being accused of “plagiarism”.
