Subject: Bearing Fruit
First Read: John 12:20-22 – And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
KH: Hey, Andrew, where are you going in such a hurry?
Andrew (AN): Hey, Kent, I’m going to find Jesus. There are some Greeks over there that came to Jerusalem to worship God. They want to see Jesus, so I’m going to get Him (John 12:20-22).
KH: Wow, that’s great!
AN: I agree. I love to bring people to Jesus or bring Him to meet them. I know that they will be changed forever once they meet Him. It’s sad, but some Jews don’t think Greeks or other Gentiles should hear about God’s free gift of eternal life (Romans 6:23). I don’t see where they get that idea. Jesus taught us that salvation is of the Jews (John 4:23), but it’s for everyone (John 3:16).
KH: You seem to always be concerned about bringing people to Jesus. I read a lot about you in God’s Word.
AN: My story is in God’s Word?
KH: Oh, yes! You had only met Jesus for one day when you brought your brother Peter to Jesus (John 1:41).
AN: Yes, I remember that day! I had been a disciple of John the Baptist (John 1:35-40) until he pointed me to Jesus. I spent the day with Jesus and realized He was the promised Messiah. I couldn’t wait to tell my brother about Him.
KH: Boy, I wish everyone felt that way. I also read where you went out two by two (Matthew 10:2; Mark 6:7) to tell people about the Lord.
AN: Yes, Jesus often sent us out two by two. It was great training for us and we got to see God work through us.
KH: And then when that huge crowd was listening to Jesus preach by the Sea of Galilee (John 6:5, 8-9), you are the one who brought the lad with the bread and fish to Jesus.
AN: Yes, I did. That boy was so excited not only to meet Jesus and see Him work that miracle, but when each of us disciples carried a basket of leftover fish sandwiches to his house, you should have seen his smile. His mom nearly fainted! Only Jesus could take one boy’s lunch and feed five thousand men (John 6:10-12) plus women and children (Matthew 14:21). That boy’s life was changed forever!
KH: And today, you are bringing these Greeks to Jesus. It seems to me that bringing people to Jesus is about all you do.
AN: Well, it’s not all I do, but I guess I do love to do that more than just about anything else. Solomon told us that the one who wins souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30) and Daniel said the wise who turn people to righteousness will shine like the stars (Daniel 12:3). I can’t think of any job on earth that is more fun or more important.
KH: Neither can I, Andrew. Neither can I. Why don’t others see that?
AN: I guess the cares of this world choke out their ability to bear fruit (Luke 8:14). I want to bear much fruit (John 15:1-8) for God’s kingdom. That means I have to be pruned quite often.
KH: I want to bear fruit too, Andrew. I don’t like the pruning much, but I thank you for being a good example. I named my son after you. He loves to bring people to Jesus as well. You are a hero to me.
AN: I didn’t know I was, but thanks. Hey, I hate to run, but I need to go now. I need to get Jesus and these Greeks together. We’ll talk later.
KH: Thanks for your time, Andrew.
kh: Lord?
GOD: Yes, Son.
kh: Can I go home soon and preach again? I want to bring people to you.
GOD: You are doing that now, Son. I’ve got your case under control. Go walk a few laps and finish reading that book. I’ve got your back.

From the CSE team,
Thank you for your continued support.
Dear Kent, yes, I have felt an urgency to tell people the gospel. I had recent success leading someone to the Lord. I read and watched Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron on “The Way of the Masters”. I know there are no “magic words” but it really helped me to share and the person received Christ!! Now I will be giving your creation seminar to their relatives. Please pray that their hearts will be open.
I’m also praying that you will be released soon and that your faith will remain strong and that of your family also. I also have a prayer request. A sort of thorn in the flesh. I am desperately trying to get along with another brother in the Lord. I wonder what it was like when Barnabas and Paul had a disagreement. Maybe you could expound on that story. I ask that you would help me be a peacemaker with that person. For it is a contradiction to my christian walk and I must overcome it and be all I should be with that person. Thanks for praying to the Lord in this situation Kent.
Please say hi to Rick there with you. I know alot of us are hurting in this world right now, but Jesus is truly with us. …and if Rick is a friend of Jesus, he is truly a friend of mine.”
Kent I wanted to write something down that Charles Spurgeon the preacher wrote: “O that men were wise enough to see that suffering for Christ is honour, that loss for truth is gain, that the truest dignity rests in wearing the chain upon the arm rather than endure the chain upon the soul!” Thankyou Kent for all you have done for the Lord and others and all that you continue to do.
I also pray that I will be all that the Lord has for me to be while on this earth. Let us run and not faint and run the race as Paul says because we love Jesus so much for what He has done for us.
don’t forget to pray for those people that I am giving your seminar to. It will be there Christmas present. I pray that Jesus will be there Christmas present this year. talk to you soon Kent. Your friend in Christ
I wonder if you will ever know…understand…the full impact of what your obedience has done. I cry when I read your blogs here. Especially this one. Then I pray and I beg God for your release. Then I am reminded of the need for you to be there. What a crazy time! As a wife, I cannot imagine being away from my husband, as I am crying right now-typing this-in that very thought of what your wife must be feeling. Yet, knowing, as my husband would, how many people you have taken by the hand and led them down that wonderful path that goes straight into the arms of Jesus. I promise you…God’s not done. When I think of how unbelievably scary this world has become…and its only getting worse…I sometimes feel so helpless. But I then I have to remember…I cannot see into the full spectrum of the spiritual realm. I cannot see all the armies of God and where they are placed. I only see that the opposing side has a well trained organization, and I feel we have no hope. I love the scripture that tells the story of a man who felt the same way…until the Lord opened his eyes to the army of God and where their hope was!
I wish there was more that I could do. I wish I could visit you and your wife, and hug your necks!!! You have been such a blessing and that legacy being carried forward through your children, and your children’s children! How wonderful!!!
I am not sure if you will ever even have the opportunity to read the replies to your blogs…but when everything is said and done, and if nothing else, may the peace of our heavenly Father wash over you and yours! May you remember always…God is still God and He isn’t finished with you, or this ministry, yet!!!
Be blessed in the name of Jesus Christ, and only in Him do we serve!
Jamee Shelton.
I come here for refreshing Kent. God bless you. Did your Ricky get cards and letters in response to that post? I pray that he was deluged with them!
Please let us know what is going on with the courts and with your wife’s case too. What is the earliest possible date you can be released should appeals be denied?
Praying…for your release, and for your strength. Spiritually, You are doing better than me, Brother! Even in the middle of this tragedy.
May God continue to bless you!
Kent…I agree with Jamee …I wonder if you will ever know…understand…the full impact of what your obedience has done?
I also agree with God… GOD: You are doing that now, Son. I’ve got your case under control.
Kent ..You are my Hero… LOL
It seems… My fight, My courage, The accepting of My appointing, (role in the Kingdom) … is directly from the persecution you are suffering!
Kent, did you know YOUR story is in, “The Scriptures”? …
Daniel 11:33 “Wise leaders will give instruction to many, but these teachers will die by fire and sword, or they will be jailed and robbed. 34 During these persecutions, little help will arrive, and many who join them will not be sincere. 35 And some of the wise will fall victim to persecution. In this way, they will be refined and cleansed and made pure until the time of the end, for the appointed time is still to come.
You are helping me get strong and I don’t even know you personally. I can image what your doing for those who do know you!?!
You gave me the courage to finally “Come out” … so to speak to my church. I wrote my pastors a “Humble” letter but in it said, “Pastor Pete I was reluctant for years to say what I and going to say… but Prophet is where I have been called, & beat up the most in my 27 year walk. I talk and I get in trouble. The Church needs to know this office still operates. All the Prophet does is “POINT THE CHURCH back to THE WORD OF GOD”. It is God whom the Church have the problem with. They want their cake. And not the suffering that it take to bake it.
There a lot of Fab 5′s in the world … Well, The Church has its own. The Fab “Five Fold”. Eph 4:10-13:And He Himself (JESUS) appointed- (assign a job or role to (someone) … some to be Apostles, some to be Prophets, some to be evangelists, some to be pastors and teachers, in order fully to equip His people for the work of serving—for the building up of Christ’s body— till we all of us arrive at oneness in faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, and at mature manhood and the stature of full-grown men & women in Christ. (Also take note at John 17:21)
Daniel 11:33 has alot of meat hanging on those bones there is a lot of preach in there.
PS.
If I may to Kent … Just as Andrew the Jew wanted to bring those Greeks (Gentiles) to the Messiah, I am like Epaphras. A Gentile, a Lover of Messiah Jesus; always battling for you sincerely in his prayers, agonizing that you may be persons of ripe character, clear conviction. Firm, mature in spiritual growth, convinced… “God is sovereign”. I want to bring the JEWS TO MESSIAH!
I don’t see where they get that idea. Jesus taught us that salvation is of the Jews (John 4:23), but it’s for everyone (John 3:16). Also Father Abraham The Nations Gentiles would be blessed buy the Jews. The JEWS were to teach the Nation’s THIS JEWISH GOD.
HANG IN THERE BRO!
Bro. Hovind and family,
I just wanted to let you know how much of a blessing you’ve been to me and my family; I grew up in church and around solid Bible-Believing people (I’ve been accused a time or few of being a “follower” of a neighbor there in P-cola
), but your seminar helped me understand what real science is about. I’ve had nothing but trouble when I run into evolutionists, but like the Book says, they’re always learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
While God has not moved me to resist in the way that He has you, I think about you often and pray for God to use you where He has you and help you obey His will. As a man called to the mission field, I understand what it means to learn faith. I have not been through near the trials that you have, but I thank God for examples such as yourself to learn from and look to for encouragement on occasion.

Dear Brother Kent,
I have wondered about Watchman Nee’s decision to return to Communist China from freedom in Hong Kong. He was put in prison basically for being a Christian and spent the last twenty years of his life in prison – five years beyond what he was originally sentenced to. He had an opportunity to remain free in Taiwan or Hong Kong but went back to mainland China much the same way that Paul went up to Jerusalem. Beijing got the Olympics. There is anecdotal evidence that prisoners in China are executed to harvest organs to keep wealthy foreigners alive those few more years. I can scarcely conceive of a more horrendous crime. I wonder “How much longer Lord?”
How much longer will God delay wrath upon man?
I wonder when men cease being sinners whom God has died for and start being the unrepentant objects of wrath richly deserving their fate.
Purportedly even in a Chinese prison Watchman Nee was still allowed visits from his wife [she alone was allowed visits].
So even in Communist China a Man wasn’t removed 400 miles from his wife.
When God wrote the Law, “what God has joined together let no man put asunder” perhaps even then a wicked generation of heathen communists had respect for such a biblical precept.
So will dead communists be resurrected to sit in judgement of modern diesel therapists?
the fool has said in his heart there is no God.
their candles burn down.
this is Christmas, perhaps for many a sinner, their last on earth.
even so come soon Lord Jesus.
YoCuzwaasup,
if you want a way to witness to Jewish Folk, explain to them what the letters are pictures of in God’s NAME YHVH. Many Jewish Folk, when they read His NAME in scripture, will spell the NAME out loud, but they won’t pronounce it. What they don’t understand is that every time they spell it, they are declaring the Gospel! The first letter is a Yod, which is an ancient stick picture of a hand. The second letter was an ancient stick picture of a man with raised arms. It’s also the last letter. When something is repeated twice in Hebrew it means that it is very important! & the real clincher… the third letter is a stick picture of a nail! The letters are saying that the Hands of The Creator were stretched out & secured with nails! I put together a Hebrew alphabet books showing how the Messiah is in the Hebrew alphabet. It’s called ‘A Very Old Treasure’. I started putting it together for the Homeschoolers in my family, & then I decided that it should be for their parents too, so it’s something for a parent to read to their kids. Then I decided to also put it up on the Women’s Resources On Creation Science web site under homeschooling material. Part 2 in that section has the above information illustrated about the letters in God’s NAME, if you want to look it up. Here’s the web address.

Brother Hovind,
I sent you & Dan both Hebrew research around the 20th of November, & apparently both letters are still in limbo somewhere. There were about 20 sheets of paper in each envelope. Would you please ask Dan to let me know if you guys got it or not. If you didn’t, I’ll break it down into smaller sections, & maybe they will give it to you instead of stashing it somewhere in Never-Never land!
Brother Hovind, I saw something the other night on a science program about water, that I thought was really amazing. A tree the size of the Giant Red Woods puts into the atmosphere about 500 gallons of water per day through the evaporation process. Imagine how much moisture would be put into the earth’s atmosphere if the whole earth was covered in vegetation, & there were no deserts?
To All The CSE Bloggers, & those at CSE Ministry,
May the LORD grant you and your family a Blessed Christmas season, & fill you continually with His grace & love, & may You continually be tuned into His heart! b’Yeshua!
In His love,
The Welder’s Wife
Jude 3!
