An Open Letter to Principal H. Frank Lay, Pace, Florida High School

7-23-09

Dear Mr. Lay,

I have been following with great interest the lawsuit filed against you by the ACLU for allowing school district employees to “engage in prayer or endorse religion.” I’m sure the recent decision by the Federal District Court that bans prayer was a disappointment to you. The 400 seniors who stood at the graduation ceremony and recited the Lord’s Prayer and wore crosses on their hats obviously didn’t like the decision either.

I feel that Judge Rodgers (the same judge in my case – still on appeal – www.drdino.com/legal ) actually did you a great favor with this ruling. Please let me explain:
From what I can glean from the newspaper articles that have been sent to me (I know, never trust what you read in the paper – I quit taking it when my parakeet died), it seems that Judge Rodgers ruled that school officials could not endorse religion or talk about their religious beliefs within the school’s classes or at school sponsored events. If what I read on LifeSiteNews.com, June 4, is true, ACLU attorney Benjamin Stevenson said school officials have a responsibility to “protect the silently held religious views of others” and to be sure that no one will “impose their religious views” on others. One headline read, “Religion Banned from Santa Rosa Schools.”

If this is indeed what the court and the ACLU intend then you need to begin removing the religion of evolution from your school’s textbooks, tests, classes, and videos shown in class immediately! You certainly don’t want to be held in contempt of court!

Evolution (not the misnamed micro-evolution that we all agree happens) is a religious world view that is not supported by science or common sense. You have been ordered to remove religion. This will be a great challenge since this particular religion is very thoroughly mixed into nearly all of your science and history books (not to mention math and literature).

To help you with this huge task, here is what I propose you read over your school’s intercom, post on all bulletin boards, and publish as your official school policy:

“To all Santa Rosa County School Staff and employees,
In order to comply with the recent Federal Court ruling, banning religion in our schools, we will begin immediately to remove any reference to religious ideas that cannot be proven scientifically. While some teachers, textbooks authors, and even some scientists may sincerely believe that the earth and universe are ‘billions of years old’ there is obviously no way to prove this scientifically. Effective immediately, all statements about ‘millions’ or ‘billions of years’ are to be removed, eliminated, expunged, cut out, or blacked out in all school materials used in all grades. This includes, but is not limited to, textbooks, study guides, quizzes, tests, posters, class discussions, and any and all school-sponsored events or publications.

“Also, since about 60% of the US population believes the earth and universe is about 6,000 years old, textbooks will not be allowed to include religious statements like ‘millions of years ago.’

“In addition, since many believe that the layers of the earth were all laid down during one world-wide flood as described by nearly every ancient civilization, whereas others believe these layers represent eras or ages that are millions of years different in age, no religious dogma about them being ‘millions of years old’ will be allowed in our school district. The so-called ‘geologic column’ does not exist on earth except in the textbooks, so anyone teaching this as fact would be promoting their religion at taxpayer’s expense.

“Lastly, some sincerely believe that plants and animals all come from a common ancestor, however, there is no scientific evidence that any plant or animal is now or ever has been capable of producing offspring of a different kind. Any reference to any plant or animal ‘evolving’ from a different kind of ancestor should be treated as a religious statement and be removed, in keeping with the recent court decision.

“Obviously, in America, the land of freedom of religion, anyone is welcome to believe in evolution, billions of years, humans being related to apes, etc., but these people should teach this religion to their children in church or at home. No tax dollars in this district are to be used to promote this or any other religion until the appeals process is complete.

“If you see or hear anyone ‘using their official position to promote their own personal religious beliefs’ like the items named above, please report them to me immediately. Since Daniel Mach, the Director of Litigation on Freedom of Religion and Belief for the ACLU and ACLU attorney Benjamin Stevenson have already demonstrated their great concern that religion not be taught in our district, we feel certain that they will be glad to investigate any violations of this policy and sue any offenders who do not wish to comply with this order.

“Thank you for your help and support as we work to create a “religion free” school here in Santa Rosa County.”

Keep up the great work, Mr. Lay! Many are praying for you to have courage and wisdom and boldness during this trying time.

Dr. Kent E. Hovind is currently at the Edgefield Federal Correctional Institution in South Carolina. Please send postcards and letters to:

    Kent E. Hovind #06452-017
    FPC Edgefield D-2
    P.O. BOX 725
    Edgefield, SC 29824

Feel free to send Dr. Hovind a letter or postcard. Please understand he is not able to answer every letter he receives, but he certainly appreciates any support and encouragement. He can also receive new books, but only directly from bookstores. And no hardcover books are allowed. No DVDs, CDs, or anything hard or sharp such as staples, etc (no tracts with staples in them). Do not send more than one tract at a time, as all gifts containing more than one tract will not be allowed. Do not put “Dr.” on his name, or it may be discarded by the guards. They do not always return postal items that are not delivered to inmates, so you may want to save a copy before mailing, so that you might try again in the event that he was recently moved for example.

Mrs. Hovind is currently at the Federal Correctional Institution in Marianna, FL. Because of prison regulations, Mrs. Hovind can only receive letters. Please refrain from sending stickers, stamps, books, or media of any kind. If you would like to write her letters of encouragement, please send them to:

    Jo D. Hovind #06453-017
    FCI Marianna, Satellite Camp
    P.O. Box 7006
    Marianna, FL 32447

Please write with the understanding that whatever you write could be subject to monitoring by the guards. Please do not write politically-charged or tax-related comments, etc. In the event that Dr. or Mrs. Hovind is moved to another facility, one can always check for current addresses by using the Inmate Locator on the Bureau of Prisons website:

    Brother Kent,,

FYI:- VICTIMLESS CRIME:_ A crime which, although an offence under statute or at common law, is committed between willing partners or in a situation where there is no person against whom the crime is committed. In such an offence, no one person can be identified as suffering any loss or damage. Drug offences, prostitution, distribution of obscene literature, and some forms of gambling are often classed as victimless crimes. It is suggested that the community in general is the victim of such offences. There is debate regarding whether the criminal law is the appropriate mechanism to regulate these kinds of behaviour.

Unquote. The semantics of the above renders the whole paragraph/ definition null and void. One cannot define a word with the use of that word. Nevertheless it says that there is “debate”. This implies controversy; or open to different interpretations, speculative thought processes, review, further discussion, open findings, deferred decisions, and that the ultimate conclusion to the matter is yet to be reached or found.

Given that “children” spend about 12 years in public education one should expect them to be introduced to some controversial material. Wouldn’t one expect that 15 minutes in 12 couldn’t be spent on Jury Nullification, the “benefit of the doubt”.

In 12 years couldn’t 15 minutes be devoted to “Mens Rea” Lat. – a guilty mind. The state of mind required to constitute a particular crime; the mental element of an offence. Generally, every crime requires a mental element, which varies depending upon the nature of the crime. There may be more than one mental element of an offence and it may include intention, recklessness, negligence, dishonesty or malice.

    Unquote:

one thinks that in 12 years half an hour could be spent preparing a “citizen” to sit on a bench or Jury, especially where there is controversy involved, and the destruction of family life and the deprivation of liberty.

half an hour in 12 years doesn’t seem a lot to ask. Ah, but the Law is the Law – freight trains and Mack Truck – all apparently without brakes, steering, or drivers with vision!

For example Achen knew that Israel were under the divine edict. And most assuredly He had that immutable Word to measure his actions against. Rachel whereas simply had her fathers idols. Was it the stealing or the idolatry? In any case her father seems to have laid claim to what was his. Perhaps she was just minding them for him; it doesn’t say if he ever got them back does it?

Biblical Justice does take a bit longer than half an hour. But we have an ultimate Word. And anyone wishing to apply the blood of Jesus to their situation better, and best not invoke laws that they don’t want to keep along side of all of children of Israeli.

What God has joined together let no man put asunder, on the other hand applies to all of the children of Adam, the sons of men. Sitting on a Jury and rendering judgement therefor should not be entered into lightly.

here on these pages on can freely access more than a thousand pages of proceedings. If one had have waited more than 18 months? to access a transcript it would have cost them over a thousand dollars for access to that “justice”?
while all flesh is under a divine death sentence, {death or change} one should tread carefully less divine wrath ensue. God is not mocked.

    cheers, from Australia

Amen. Let’s keep our tax funded schools religion free! Come on ACLU, you need to consider ALL religions, not just a select few. If you are going to tell me that you like to focus on the major ones that have the most impact, then evolution is BY FAR the biggest supported religion in the schools. It has FAR more impact than Christianity does (today anyways) in our public schools.

God bless Kent, Jo and his family. I’m still praying for you and I hope that those who are reading this do the same. Keep up the fight and never give up. God will never put you in a situation that you cannot handle.

Brother Kent, I would like to think that Australia is a little bit more civilised than the USA, but I think that we hold at least one record for Diesel Therapy. On Jan 27 last year a 46 y.o. Aboriginal man was baked alive in the back of a prison van driven through a desert in 120 odd degree fahrenheit temperatures. Third degree burns resulted from contact with the metal floor of this mans cage. For a 350 km trip he had a 600 mil bottle of water. He was effectively dead on arrival.

Allegedly he was drink driver. Well he won’t do that again! A black man without political connections.

Another Victimless Crime goes unpunished? Is there a process for postmortem convictions?

Aboriginals were simply born here and it seems that in Roman Jurisprudence that gives them absolute liability. When all dollars are debt instruments and all charges are liens?

Why does Revelation simply say come out of her? Perhaps Jesus comprehends Rome, and those who do business with her.

I am a high school science teacher in southern California. I agree with what Dr. Hovind has said above 100%. The public schools are hypocrites! They use the laws of the land to manipulate people into following their wicked agenda. Evilution is not science it is a religion. The United States Constitution states clearly, “Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting of the free exercise thereof;”. So why are the government schools permitted to respect the religion of Evilution and prohibit Christianity? Why do Christians do nothing to stop? The founding fathers of our country established public school so all could learn to read. Why? So they could read the Bible, God’s Holy Word. Enough is enough! I, for one, will not teach anything in the state textbooks that has Evilution in it. I, for one, will put my job on the line for Christ. All true blood cleansed believers ought to obtain God rather than man. Unless Christians get some back bone this country is on the fast track to judgement. In fact is already is suffering curses that Deuteronomy states will come on any people that turn their backs on God’s way. God is the creator and author of life. He knows what is best for us as a people and nation better than we do ourselves. I pray that Dr. Hovind and his wife will be exonerated of all charges and released from prison very soon!

Kent, thank you for bringing this to my attention. Thank you for your fighting spirit and even though the tyranny is already upon us we can still fight on and like the old poem says “Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.” (Dylan Thomas) God speed to you Dr. Kent Hovind.

    Brother Kent,

how did it happened that politicians or lawyers would became the high priests for the new world order morality – the Novus ordo seclorum

how did it come about that any civil servant could pronounce a “white collar” victimless/ quasi-criminal matter to be the equivalent or worse than the forcible defilement of a woman’s chastity/ virginity/ honourable estate.

what are the steps involved in this?

Jesus summarized the Laws of Moses and the Prophets thus:_ Love the Lord your God with your whole heart, whole soul, whole mind and all that is within you, and Love thy neighbour as thy self”

therefor the Law is a sign post to civility, forgiveness, Love. Without Love you didn’t know the Law, you have understood nothing.

Without Love you didn’t see grace or forgiveness, the Law is senseless and blind.

Love is the driving force to Creation. The 6 days wonderful act of exuberant brilliance.

People in darkness neither know the Law nor Love. Having rejected forgiveness there is only, judgement. Nothing else was left to them. Rejecting Jesus is rejecting God’s one and only entrance to grace.

The foundation of America/ the united States, could not have been for the abrogation of truth. Having not the ability to make a law concerning an established religion, there are no tools or equipment for the annulment of a christian principle or precept.

Jury Nullification was to be one set of brakes on any run away truck or freight train. People only have to wake up. Nation building is a piece of cake.

I love it, Dr. Hovind! Right on! Oh, and I really like Phillip-George’s comments. I noticed this one specifically capitalized only “States” in “united States” as it was originally intended – the united States of America used to be plural. Now we refer to it in the singular since dishonest Abe forced the conglomeration of our sovereign States into an involuntary union – a single unit rather than a group of many units. I love this site – full of truth.
