Legal Update
Thank you to all who prayed and sent in encouraging comments. The Supreme Court has recently denied our petition for a rehearing of Dr. Hovind’s case. They gave no reason. We are prayerfully looking over our legal options, though we are unsure at this time what direction God would have us to go in this area. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. God’s will be done.

Feel free to send Dr. Hovind a letter or postcard. Please understand he is not able to answer every letter he receives, but he certainly appreciates any support and encouragement. He can also receive new books, but only directly from bookstores. And no hardcover books are allowed. No DVDs, CDs, or anything hard or sharp such as staples, etc (no tracts with staples in them). Do not send more than one tract at a time, as all gifts containing more than one tract will not be allowed. Do not put “Dr.” on his name, or it may be discarded by the guards. They do not always return postal items that are not delivered to inmates, so you may want to save a copy before mailing, so that you might try again in the event that he was recently moved for example.
Encouraging comments on this blog are greatly appreciated, and Dr. Hovind does read all approved comments. But please write with the understanding that whatever you write could be subject to monitoring by the guards. So pray for the results to be good, but at the same time, pray that we all can endure this to the end if the results do not go in our favor all the time.

please, even though you are surely discouraged, keep trusting the LORD & His wisdom. He is faithful. And while you are on your ‘sabbatical’, is there a chance we can get some of the information on your Creation Science posters put into ‘cartoon tract form’ like the ‘Chick tracts’?
Recently I was going back over the Days of Creation while working on writing a conversation between Noah & his kids on the subject, & I got to thinking about how God made the Expanse/Firmament/Raqia. On Day 1 He starts out with a mass of water, & it’s completely incased by the Spirit of God hovering over it. Inside that mass of water is the earth’s location, but there is nothing there, not even a core, & that mass of water is also ‘pregnant’ with the whole universe, so it’s got to be a pretty big mass of water… And this ‘hovering thing’ that the Holy Spirit is doing from all sides is got to be creating some kind of energy.{The unknowns are, ‘How fast was He doing the hovering thing? & and how much pressure was He putting into the water during the hovering action? If the mass of water was somewhat circular, what effect would it have on the center of the mass?} {& the 3rd Heaven that Paul talks about is probably outside this mass of water, according to the Hebrew Text.} Then God says, ‘Is light’ & is light! (Hebrew). So then He separates the light from the darkness. (How ? ) and in the process, He makes this mass of water turn in a complete circle in the amount of time of one Sabbath (as in the 10 Commandments, Exodus 20) How does He make it spin? Was there a heat exchange similar to how a radiometer works? Did night & day chase each other in a complete circle? It says, ‘& there was evening & there was morning the first day’(KJV). How fast was that mass of water spinning to make that complete circle in the amount of time as one Sabbath? And check this out… When you spin water around, it flies outward & leaves a vacuum in the center. (2 examples would be ‘the spin cycle in a washing machine’ where the water leaves the clothes; and a ‘water-whirlpool’ where the center is hollow.)The very next thing He does after this is create the Expanse/Firmament/Raqia on Day 2 (& of course, you know the rest of the story). The water is still out there somewhere beyond the Expanse/Firmament/Raqia. It can’t be still creating more ‘outer-space’ as some believe because God says that the creation was completed at the end of Day 6. So… the water is out there spinning in a fixed location, & possibly holding the Raqia in motion, perhaps similar to a whirl-pool. If God decides to stop the spinning of the mass of water, does that cause outer-space to collapse? In Revelation it says that the sky is going to roll up as a scroll. (You know the verse.) Of course, when He does that, it will put an end to the discussion on evolution! LOL!
Before the Flood, the pre-flood people must have said to Noah, “Where’s the water coming from, Noah? There’s not enough water in the [pre-flood] seas to cover the earth & there’s no such thing as the rain you’re talking about!” They couldn’t see the water that was beneath the land, that came up when The Fountains of the Deep erupted. In the same way, if you tell somebody that the sky is going to roll up like a scroll, they might think you are out of your mind; however, they can’t see what’s hidden either!
More thoughts: One of your posters says that the whole universe is filled with light even though the light from the stars hasn’t reached the whole universe yet. Is the light coming from this ‘wall’ of waters beyond the universe, like if something was inside the center of a water-whirlpool, & the water was lit up with bright light? (the Hebrew text indicates that there are 2 waters beyond the universe)

Is there anybody else out there that wants to do more than wish him the best, we need to have a Dr. Hovind rally. Maybe a rally at Washington, or the prison. I know you can read the rest… Doc, I went through a 14 years of court, and the unfairness of it to the point God the Holy Spirit did this with me. I know it “STINKS” but, our Father is our Father. YOU STEPED on satins toes big time but if you really read Daniel… THATS YOU AND JO AND DAL. You educated me that I at work, am encouraged. I have a letter, I’ll place it on another post so you will understand.

Doc, this is a letter, I was asked to write for my City Job. They have come up to par with what I call Biblical technology … He is my letter less the City and company name of the product…
As per your request concerning my religious conviction, why I cannot partake of the new technology implement, being adopted by the City of ——-; namely, the “———- Bio-scan Time Data Terminal”.
I am a Judeo-Christian I live according to the teachings of Jesus, The Messiah or Christ, from the Holy Bible. I have been following His ways for 29 years.
According to the book in the Bible called, “Revelation”, Jesus told The Apostle John (paraphrased):
“There is going to come a time, when, “technology”, though governmental global policies, enforced by military means, would compel, “All people” into a system that would not allow them to do business in the usual way, unless, they took a “Mark” (Chip) & agreed to those global monetary business practices”.
“I believe the, “——— Bio-scan Time Data Terminal”, (that implements (R.F.I.D.) Radio-frequency Identification technology), is one of the symbolisms or “technologies,” Jesus was telling John, to warn humanity about in Revelation.
Definition: “Radio Frequency Identification” (R.F.I.D.)- Denoting technologies that use radio waves to identify people or objects carrying encoded “microchips”.
(For said subject; “mark” will be defined as microchip or short, “chip”. and WiFi is the “Technology”, how information will be passed along.)
These technologies in and of themselves, are harmless. It is when I am “asked” to cohere (unite) My body part on a machine that gives me an uncomfortable feeling.
Revelation 13:16-17; 14:8-12 and 19:20 warns humanity, not to be “deceived” concerning this mark. (chip). Revelation 13:16-17 is very clear concerning this mark; “And he causes all, (humanity) both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive “a mark” (Chip) in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, unless he had this “mark”. (Chip) Deceive- To cause (someone) to believe something that is not (fully) true, typically in order to gain some personal advantage.
I have informed the Pastor’s of my church that they may be receiving inquiry concerning this subject. Interpretation to this subject and it’s technology … was not known in the Bible writer’s time. The author used the closest “symbols” or words” to convey, understanding, to the future generations reading his book.
These are my “discoveries” why I feel it compulsory (according to the rules I follow in the Bible), that I can not get involved with this “technology”.
The word … interpretation is always brought up in religious matters. Interpret: “To understand a particular way that conveys ones understanding of the creator’s ideas. (For this discussion, “The creator”, is God)
Revelation 13:16-17 gives clear, characteristics and distinctive phenomenon, surrounding this technology. Namely, “No man might buy or sell”… unless he had this mark (chip).
Schools of thought in the religious field, what this “Mark” may be:
1). A literal mark, (Chip) or device placed on the or in the hand or forehead.
2). A mental acceptance or agreement, (contract) to said such practices.
(This may include a badge or objects carrying encoded microchip.)

I read and keep up with current events. I have re-read the ——- City Policies and Procedures Manual Adopted August 15, 2008 for “Harassment”. Though it was intended inform our members, women were joining the ranks of the ——– Fire Department, “Religion” falls under Harassment as well. Rights that have not only been on the books since, August 15, 2008 but since “December 15,1791”.
I cherish and exercise my religious rights. I swore an oath to uphold the Constitution against ALL enemies foreign and domestic. I would be doing a DIS-SERVICE to my country, my family, members of my department, members of those from my family who served in the military, my Church, and My God … if I did not question this “Subject”, that I feel dangerous and “a threat” to the future generations, who don’t understand R.F.D.I. technologies for future purposes.
Their are those within our Country ebbing away at “Our laws” imposing “Policies”, that are forcing me, “the worker” to fear and compromise “God given freedoms”. I’m tired of standing back and watching the lines of right and wrong become fuzzy, because they are blurry in the eyes of others. I worked for this job not to have it compromise my American way of life or my religious practices.

To end;
I follow the S.O.G.’s of the —— City Fire Department. I understand the complexity of the City’s time management challenges. The city. didn’t create this, technology that just happens to mirror Jesus’ words in Revelation. With all due respect, because I am under Para-authority, does not mean, I loose my conscience, because I am asked to follow an order? I don’t want to fall under the same category as, “Lynndie England” because, “I did not question and give valid reasoning, to those informing me, “To comply to an order or policy” ; (at least in this incidence), that may cause pain and suffering to myself or others. (Referring to Attached 4). I have to be true to my convictions.
I have been on the City pay roll for 11 years, and 2 years prior in 1992 as a provisional employee with the police tow division. “I respectfully request that the same manor of time keeping that I have been under in these years of employment with the “City of Atlantic City”, be kept in place for me and any other employee wishing the same”.
I hope my “LIVELIHOOD”, won’t be affected with this, “New technology implement”. Again, I do not feel comfortable with this technology confiscating my unique ID. (Finger print). The City already has a record of my finger prints.
In saying all this … I did take notice in reading the “Tempo series T016 Bio-scan Time Data Terminal” specifications, 3 choices are given … 1). Fingerprint only, 2). ID number + fingerprint, 3). ID number + code. Number 3 I am comfortable with.

My apologies if I am causing any inconvenience. “But, those are the reasons why, I can not participate with this “New technology”, as I believe it fulfills Jesus warnings in Revelation thus violating my rights protected under The Constitution of the United States.

Said this on January 14th, 2010 at 1:34am:As requested, I fasted and prayed on Friday, the 8th of January. I think maybe it may be a blessing in disguise that the SCOTUS will not hear your case. It is changing so much, that I wouldn’t trust them to rule on anything anymore. There has got to be a better way, and I know God knows, So we wait, pray and trust.
Also, I wish I were in Florida. I would look for a way to file charges against those who have abused your rights. I would think any citizen would have standing due to the fear that this could happen to anyone. When government creates fear of itself in the minds and hearts of its citizens, real men and women should fearlessly rise up and put them in their place.
Judge Casey needs to be brought up on impeachment charges (unless, of course, she repents and gets saved, first). All prosecutors, who had a hand in violating the Hovind’s rights and their rights to due process, should be charged. The IRS agents should be charged with violating their oaths of office and for fraud. The list goes on and on. There should be such an army of people demanding justice be righted, that they cannot be discounted or ignored!
Anyone with ideas on how to accomplish some of these things, please stand up.
Bro. Hovind, I have sent you a check to help with your legal fund. It is an offering of love from some of God’s people to be used for your support as a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are very disappointed about the recent court decision. Please know that while Satan means it for evil, God means it for good. Your persecution and sufferings have inspired hundreds of more creation evangelists. Our family stands in front of Vassar College on February 12th, and April 30th in your honor. We pass out tracts and hold a sign that says, “You did not evolve from apes.” (I wear a monkey suit.) We are trying to get local churches to host Eric or hold seminars of their own, but the Churches in the Northeast can be difficult to deal with.
Please know your trials are not in vain and are producing much fruit. You are always in our daily prayers.

The atheist have taken upon themselves to ridicule you and the good works that you have done by writing all sorts of things on your so called Wikipedia page…the funny thing is, anyone who has watched your videos with an open mind and has been converted like me, will read that so called Wikipedia page and laugh loud at it. They keep using points like, “majority scientist” believe in evolution, science has disproved creation, they refer to creation as a myth and about your legal issues, they have bombarded you with all sorts of unbelievable statements. I purposefully read the so called Wikipedia page to keep my blood boiling. I knew before going to read it that it would be the way it is.
I pray dearly for you Dr. Hovind. Please be strong and never give up. Let the legal issues not be a problem for you.

I don’t really know whether I have just been to Panama or not! Most of the last 6 weeks I have been on a Panama registered and flagged vessel/ merchant ship – I lived slept and ate on it – without any physical contact with dry land. But I don’t think we got as far off shore as International waters. I really don’t where I was? Whether laws of the land or sea applied, what international covenants or conventions applied. I am slightly interested, but not very.
What I am confident of is that men trying to “do justice” without a love of “mercy” and without “dust and ashes” “humility” is nothing less than spitting into the wind.

But if we talk about anything I feel we have offended someone. Hypocrites coat every surface, like an insect trying to walk or fly out of the treacle it has landed in, or like a bug having landed on wet paint.
I’m glad to see EffBeeEye still posting. In my peculiar paranoia I thought that he was a professional monitor with a conscience; maybe even juridical “darling”.
In an age of corporations, how can a “flesh and blood” woman born “man” be right? At a meeting I attended about 6 months ago a misinformation officer seemed to appear and tell the group, if you don’t intend to enter plea – don’t appear.
Was he saying that it throws the professional “legal actors” into a moral dilemma?
If you don’t appear anywhere have you disappeared? Does the play continue? Does the fiction survive?

Did Elijah want to help his Queen by answering a warrant she seems to have verbally executed? Did Jesus reappear before the Sanhedrin after his resurrection to see if they had any outstanding issues with his divinity?
What corporations/ professional fraternities/ unions have ever voted themselves out of existence or returned to consolidated revenue unused budget allocations? Is the AMA or the BAR association or the Department of Justice or the IRS a corporation with an interest in their own benefit – paid for with what exactly? Or are they the perfection of benevolence – morally superior in every way.
Brother Kent, Brother Paul appealed to Caesar and he was stuck with it – even when he would have been released. Did Caesar establish himself to be cruel and stupid, vain and inglorious.
Brother Kent, if you are given an opportunity to disappear, whether by the imminent return of Jesus and a “secret rapture” event which refigures His mount of Olives return, or by a supernatural midnight “earthquake” event which opens prison doors, or by the intervention of the International Court of Criminal Justice – based on the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, might you take that opportunity to fly like the Winds and very Breath of the Spirit of the Living God.

It is very disheartling that there is no longer justice in the US. Not only are you jailed for your preaching to quiet you on false charges, but there seems to be no Christian ministeries or lawyers coming to come to your defense. I have written to a few pleading they would do something, anything(ADF, CLA, CLS, Rutherford, Liberty Counsel, NLF, HSLDF, Chuck Baldwin, One News Now, etc.). To their shame, I have received zero response except from ADF which claims that this is not within their sphere of legal matters. Very sad testimony for our Christian legal defense organizations as well as One News Now that purports to be a voice for Christians versus the secular media.
I attend church with Colonel Chessani who has been falsely persecuted by the military. God raised up supporters and attorneys that have defended him. Why God has not done so for you is beyond me. For you have done more for the cause of Christ than he has ever done. Your rewards in Heaven will be great.
We have been blessed by your books and videos. You have sparked a fire in my younger son. He spends most of his free time visiting creation websites and reading creation books.
I can not understand why this is happening except God is using you to see what Christians will do. Since they refuse to come to your defense, I fear judgement of USA is just around the corner.

At times, without going into it deeper here since I preach on things are not ‘predestined” so to speak. Some things are and some are not. We have a will and I do not believe in fatalism. As the song goes, “Whatever will be will be…” is not necessarily true. Things truly change that would not have happened if we prayed or didn’t pray, to say it simply for now. We are in a real war and things really happen for the good and bad based on what we do and don’t do.

To be honest, how much people would have been lost without Kent being where he is? Without him being a faithful witness for our Lord, Jesus Christ?

One would imagine that for many people who hold to the religion of evolution & dissent against your scientific objections, the decision to deny your right to be heard might seem reason for good cheer. After all they couldn’t prevail over you through fair debate, at least not any that I’ve seen. I’ve watched many of the debates people have had with you on the internet and I’ve not seen any where you or your presentation come off badly.
It seems to me a sad thing for those who profess to follow science (believing evolution actually is science) that the only debate video I’ve found thus far where you have come off less than well, is the one with “Ali G” (an actor/comedian with various aliases “Ali G” being just one of them) here you were humbled not by science but by ‘very’ childish toilet humour.
I guess when they can’t win debating science (even when funded by the state), and the best they can manage to throw is toilet humour. The only way to silence you has been to dream up some charges to do with the way you declare your taxes and hit you as hard as possible.
I’m sure that many would disagree with me saying that your imprisonment has nothing to do with the debate, and how could I prove otherwise. Nevertheless it is well known that these scenarios do happen, the legal judgement against Jesus (sending him to crucifixion) being the most famous.

Said this on January 26th, 2010 at 1:18am:Our family loves Dr Hovind’s videos – our 9 year old watches them when he goes to bed! He showed us why Gap Theory is hogwash. God is using Dr Hovind through his videos even while he is unfairly in prison. We are praying for his quick release.
Its insane how they put the Hovinds in jail for a law that didnt even exist – and its crazy how “political figures” can a free pass for making mistakes on their tax returns. This world is surely getting more evil every day and sadly America is being put to the ultimate test.
God will have the final say in the end which surely cant be too far off.
Dr Hovind will have many rewards as the Judgement Seat of Christ no doubt for his sacrifice and zeal for the Lord Jesus Christ and God’s precious Word!!

Where are all the Christian lawyers indeed?? We have recently signed on with Christian Law Association for our homeschooling needs defense (Mr Gibbs is an attorney -many are familiar with the tragedy of Teri Shaivo case that Mr Gibbs tried to save) It is my hope that my email will reach the necessary ears of Christian Law Association and godly lawyers will start figuring out what they can do for the cause of Christ where Dr Hovind is concerned!!
Perhaps all might follow suit – email the Christian defense attorneys in America and ask for help!! Hard copies too! Maybe that will help to make a difference….

I would like to take this opportunity to bring to the attention of Christian Law Association (though surely all must be aware of) Dr Kent Hovind’s demise of being falsely thrown in prison for 10 years. Here is a godly man who obviously hit a big nerve with those who are anti God and anti Bible and evolution minded.
I was just visiting http://www.cseblogs.com/ that is a blog that support Dr. Hovind during these troubling times for he and his family and the challenges that his ministry faces day to day while he is in prison. One commentor got my attention when he mentioned his concern, surprise and disgust that NO legal service has come to the defense of the Hovinds. And most have not even taken the time to respond to his inquiries.
It is my sincere hope that will not be the case with Christian Law Association and that Dr Hovinds case will be studies and Lord willing will be given some assistance that no doubt God would want to be given. We are a homeschooling family who recently signed up with Christian Law Association.
It is our understand that the Hovind’s were thrown in jail under a broken law that hadnt even existed prior to their charges. PLEASE take some time to study the case and see what can be done in the Hovind ministry case. Many are praying,fasting, and sincerely hope justice will prevail. Our 9 year old son adores Dr Hovind for his awesome videos that debunk evolution and defend the Word of God. Surely it is high time to stand with Dr Hovind in which ever way we can as believers in America where this injustice should not have occured.
We know there are many sites who falsely accuse the Hovinds – but we certainly do not see a family that made money and lived lavishly, etc. This is a family who loves the Lord and diligently served him for years. No doubt Satan is scoring on this one everyday Dr Hovind is behind bars and unable to be the voice our public schools desperately need for biblical Truth!!

I have been disappointed not to see more posts, but you are likely the most disappointed of all. I prayed and fasted on January 8(in addition to my normal routine for you), but I knew that in the customary course of events, your case would not be heard. Brian Steele writes that he is hoping to have a picture taken with you. I would like to have that!
Because I have had such a difficult time in the school where I am working this year, I have been studying the word “integrity”. I was surprised that my dictionary called it a rigid adherence to a code, but I supposed that is exactly what is it. We cling to Jesus with our whole being and to His ways as much as we are humanly able, increasing in our ability in time according to His sanctifying mercies.
I was pleased to be reminded that God used the word integrity to describe Job to Satan, “although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.” My favorite of all the integrity verses is Psalm 26:1: “Judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in mine integrity. I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.” It seems to me that our trust and our clinging to His code keeps us solidly in His good hands. Where those hands take us is up to Him. If he hadn’t taken me to a different place than I wanted to be this year, I wouldn’t have learned hard lessons to share with others. If you weren’t in a different place than you wanted to be, you wouldn’t have learned hard lessons to share with others. I know you know this (just as I did), but, Praise God, we have His Word to remind us.
A kind soul shared with me that my integrity is being attacked because it makes those who lack it look bad. I think that could be said for you a thousand times over-YOU HAVE MADE THE ENEMY LOOK BAD. You have been God’s instrument to snatch many from his jaws. You have taught truth for decades. You have started ministry after ministry and labored tirelessly for the Gospel. Of course he is going to fuss with you as much as he can, but the Lord promises to restrain him from passing your limit. I’m so grateful Jo was freed before the latest decision came down. I’m so grateful you had the knowledge of the money received on behalf of the ministry property. I’m so grateful you can know that Creation Science Evangelism is strong and well under the Eric’s capable leadership.
I reread recently John Piper’s “Let the Nations Be Glad” and was struck with the role suffering plays in taking the Gospel to the nations. Piper points out that the call to suffer with Christ is the call to love the way He loved, and He told us that if we did, we would be persecuted as He was. Your prison term is not a sign of failure but success. “Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad; for great is your reward in heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you.”

Although I disagree with his tax related transgressions, I know that nobody is perfect except for Jesus Christ, and that we all fall short of the glory of God. I think that Dr. Hovind’s sentencing is nothing short of RIDICULOUS. I have repeatedly read on this forum, that if we are to send Dr. Hovind mail we should not address him as Dr. Hovind or that the guards may disregard our mail and throw it out. My question is why do they do this? Do they treat all PHD’s who are incarcerated this way, or just certain people that they don’t like? Peacefully,

Both seem ridiculous no matter how hard the system tries to spoon feed it to everyone. I was lucky in college that my World History professor also shared the belief that it is ridiculous. It amazes me at the people who so religiously fight for this “theory” if it indeed even merits being called a theory.
I do admit I was one of those who did believe the earth was older though. I never put a number on it, but I always had the feeling a day to god might have been thousands or even millions of years. A friend gave me some of your audio tapes years ago and I half-listened to them, set in my own beliefs and would argue with him about it. Recently, while looking for material for my kids Sunday School class on YouTube I ran across 1 of your videos. I remembered the name and thought, “Hey that’s the guy my friend had me listen to years ago.” Well this time I did listen! Wow! You hit home with me Ken! After watching that video (Age of the Earth), I immediately began looking for more! I found your site and went through all of the seminar and debate videos. I can’t get enough of them! You explain everything so well and have really opened my eyes! It has helped eliminate many doubts for me and greatly increased me in my faith. Anyone who can seriously listen to one of your seminars and still belief in this evolution garbage is definitely out of their mind.
I sure hope you will be released very soon Kent. I have no doubt Satan is using this to discourage you and hinder you in your faith. Your ministry will continue with your videos and by people like myself whom you have blessed with your knowledge and wisdom. Maybe you can use this time to write or study and prepare for when you are released. Just please don’t let it discourage you or get you down. I know it is hard but be strong Kent. My family and I are so grateful for your ministry. I never understood why it matter how old the earth is. My family believes in the “gap” theory and I was raised with this teaching. It took me many years before I was willing to watch your videos. Now the Lord has opened my eyes to why it is important. I am now teaching my children the truth and the consequences of those false teaching. I was a public school child but could never wrap around the fact of evolution and how it fit with the Bible (KJV) I always thought I wasn’t very smart because I could never get what they were teaching. Praise the Lord if that was the case! We have watched your seminar and your CSE classes, I understand things so much more clearly now.
