KH:    Hey Lord? I don’t understand how our politicians and judges can take an oath to defend the Constitution and then ignore it or try to destroy it. Doesn’t it bother their conscience?

God:    Son, I take oaths and vows very seriously (Leviticus 19:12; Deuteronomy 23:23; Psalm 66: 13-14; Matthew 5:33). Most people do as well but some have deceived themselves into justifying their oath breaking (Judges. 17:6; 21:25). They think they have fooled Me as well. Let’s go for a walk to visit Solomon and then a religious celebration that many millions took part in earlier this week. …

KH:    Wow! This place is beautiful! Where are we Lord?

God:    Solomon’s stables. Go talk with Solomon, Son.

KH:    Ok Lord… Excuse me King Solomon. Your stables are fancier than most houses I’ve ever seen. Can you tell me a little about them?

Solomon (SO):   Sure. I take great pride in my horses and chariots. I get thousands     of them from Egypt (I Kings 10:28). I have 40,000 stalls for my horses and 4,000 more stalls for horses and chariots (I Kings 4:26; II Chronicles 9:25). *We have ten horses per chariot. We also have ten men per chariot (II Samuel 10:18; I Chronicles 19:18). They swap out during the battles so they don’t get too tired.

KH:    But isn’t it part of your vow as a king to follow God’s Word? He said clearly that the king was not to multiply horses or cause the people to go to Egypt to get horses (Deuteronomy 17:16).

SO:    Well, that’s one of those vows we sort of work around. National defense is top priority for me and these chariots are a great deterrent to our enemies. Plus, all my wives like to ride in them.

KH:    All your wives? Didn’t God also order the king not to multiply wives to himself (Deuteronomy 17:17)?

SO:    That’s another one we have to work around (I Kings 11:3). I figure since God gave me wisdom (I Kings 3: 9-13) I’m sort of above the rules.

KH:    Didn’t God say the blessings would only last IF you walked in His ways and kept His statutes and commandments? (I Kings 11:4)

SO:    Yes, but nothing has happened yet, (Ecclesiastes 8:11), so I’ll be fine.

KH:    I don’t know. I suspect God had a reason for His rules and these wives will turn you away from the Lord (I Kings 3:14) .

SO:    I’ll be fine. I’m happy the way things are. (Proverbs 14:12; 16:25). I’m not really open to discussion about it.

KH:    Ok. It’s your life. I’ll see you later at the judgment and we’ll see (Hebrews 9:27).

God:    One more stop, Son…

KH:    Wow! I love the singing and dancing here! It’s all in Hebrew though Lord. What are they saying?

God:    Go ask the rabbi, Son (Matthew 23: 7-8).

KH:    Ok Lord… Excuse me, sir. I don’t speak Hebrew but you folks sure seem to be excited and zealous about what you’re singing! What’s going on here?

Rabbi (RA):  Oh, we’re excited all right! This is the first night of Yom Kippur. Many     millions all over the world celebrate this time. Tonight we are all reciting the Kol Nidrei (Maariv) prayer. It is the first basic level of the five levels of our soul. The Kol Nidrei chant inspires emotional ecstasy as we recite it three times to this soul stirring melody. Everyone really gets excited as they pray and dance!

KH:    I can see that! What does the prayer say?

RA:    It basically says that we are entering into an agreement with God that any oath, vow or pledge we take for the next twelve months shall be null, void, extinct, naught, and non-existent.

KH:    Wow! Sort of like advance permission to lie?

RA:    We don’t like to be that blunt but, yes, that’s what it amounts to.

KH:    Is this how politicians, judges and even people on the witness stand can lie or not keep their oath to defend the Constitution and still sleep at night?

RA:    Exactly! The oath is meaningless because of the Kol Nidrei prayer. It only lasts twelve months though. We have to do it again each year about this time.

KH:    That’s sounds like what the Pharisees and scribes did in Mark 7:11. They could break the law and still feel justified before God. The Catholics sold indulgences for years to their people. It was also advance permission to sin. Lots of other religions and secret societies have similar loopholes so they can break God’s clear commands and still feel justified before God. Are you sure it will work when you stand before God?

RA:    Of course! The Talmud says, “Don’t forget. Whenever you take an oath, vow, or pledge, remember the Kol Nidrei prayer that you recited on the day of Atonement, and that exempts you from fulfilling that.”

KH:    But the Talmud is just a commentary. I’ve read God’s Word many times and He never authorized any prayer like that! What about God’s Word that says we must keep our vows (Numbers 30:2; Deuteronomy 12:11; 23:18; 21-22; Psalm 76:11; Ecclesiastes 5:4)?

RA:    We take our cue from Solomon. He broke his vows to God, so it’s OK.

KH:    Have you seen how Solomon turned out?

RA:    Yes, but we are different. We’re happy the way things are. Just leave us alone. (Mark 5:17). We are not open to discussion about it.

KH:    OK, it’s your life. I’ll see you judgment day and God will sort it all out.

God:    I sure will, Son. I sure will. (Matthew 12:36) They have fooled themselves into thinking they have power to forgive their own sin. They think they are God! (Genesis 3:5) Does that answer your question about how they can lie and still sleep?

KH:    Yes, Lord, I understand, but I am still shocked that they could be so blind!

God:    People have always justified their sin (Judges 21:25; Proverbs 16:2). Adam started the habit. He blamed Eve and even Me for his sin (Genesis 3:12). I’m not fooled by any of it Son. I keep careful records. I’ll be the final Judge very soon! Don’t follow their example Son. They may have salved their conscious for now but it won’t work in the end. Go walk a few laps. I’ve got your back.

  1. Dear Brother Hovind,
yes you are right about honoring our vows before the LORD. And yes you are right concerning the Kol Nidrei prayer that the Jews pray on Yom Kippur, and the Indulgences that the Catholics sold. They are both based on works instead of trusting in The Lamb of God. However, there is a difference between the 2 that I would like to mention. The Kol Nidre was a result of Anti-Semitism caused by the Spanish Inquisition and other atrocities from the Catholic Church in the name of Christ. Jews were getting tortured. They didn’t have the Holy Spirit to help them & they were being driven far from the truth because of what ‘Christians’ were doing in the name of Christ, and while they were torturing the Jews, they were using the symbol of the cross as the logo for their actions! Those of us who are in Jewish outreaches are still dealing with the consequences of those actions to this very day. It’s heart breaking! It’s because of these things that we don’t say the word ‘cross’. Instead, we say ‘execution-stake’, or ‘the wood’ or ‘the tree’. You never hear ‘The Old Rugged Cross’ being sung in a Messianic Jewish Congregation. And for the same reason we refer to ourselves as ‘Messianic Jews’ instead of ‘Christians’ because Jews use the term ‘Christians’ as a generic brand for everything under the sun that has anything to do with Christianity. And we use Messiah’s Hebrew Name (Yeshua HaMashiach) instead of His Greek-English Name (Jesus Christ). [Have you ever read ‘The Distortion’ by Drs J & P Fisher ? http://www.messianicjewish.net/store/products.php?pid=40&detail=true ]

On the other hand, if you are trying to reach out to Catholics, you don’t have to go to such extremes!

Here’s what is written in a Messianic Siddur concerning the Kol Nidre “(In ancient times, as in our day, vows to the LORD were often rashly made. In the precarious times in which our forefathers lived, circumstances beyond their control frequently denied them the opportunity of fulfilling their vows. Because of the unusual stress, oppression and persecution surrounding their lives, these vows at times simply could not in good conscience be fulfilled and thus were violated. Recognizing that promises had serious implications, they desired to have such vows nullified on the day of Atonement, when people longed to be at peace with God and others. The following formula, known as the Kol Nidre, was the result. In those lands where Jews, under persecution and torture, made vows to forsake their faith or accept another, the recital of the Kol Nidre often brought relief to their tormented consciences.)”

Brother Hovind, you & I know that the only way to find peace with God is by putting our trust in the Lamb of God, who became The Atonement for our sins. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Blesses be His Name!

  2. for Jesus' name: Phillip-George (c)1974 says:

Jesus: except those days should be shortened…… Matthew 24ish

I’m not dogmatic about what that means.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20100302/sc_space/chileearthquakemayhaveshorteneddaysonearth

these days are at hand, you don’t have to worry about who is going to push your wheel chair when you are 110 y.o.

I am guessing at a lot of things but this world continues to unwind. Like lunar recession there is a clock running despite the background noises….

this is not just a cute coincidence, because there is no such thing! It is only in “this generation” that people could make such calculations…….”

ps. sundry readers: spontaneous abiogenesis is a miracle – I don’t need to count off any more than that. And I wouldn’t share my personal miracle with just anyone. Jesus said, don’t cast pearls before swine.

    Hi Kent,

A very interesting post, I also found that “welders wife” gave a very interesting response too.

I guess it is the (un)natural condition of the fallen man that he doesn’t want to acknowledge his own error but it is much easier to look at the sin of others (Matthew 7:3-5 & Luke 6:41-42).

Attempting to shift the beam from my own eye is not easy, not to mention potentially embarrassing to do on a public forum
(God still has issues with me), I am far from perfect. But then, I don’t want to discuss those things right now.

Maybe I could talk to someone I used to know.

(me) Hello young man, what are you doing today?

(young man) Hi, well today is the Sabbath and I’m going to Church would you like to come?

(me) Yes… ok, I think that would be good. I’m sorry you got me all confused for a moment there, I think I’m a bit muddled up with my days, what day is it today?

(ym) That’s ok, I lose track of the days from time to time too. Anyway, today is Sunday, the first day of the week… the Sabbath. God said in the 10 commandments that we should remember the Sabbath and Keep it Holy (Exodus 20:8-10). Do you read the Bible?

(me) Yes, I’m very interested in scripture, but my Bible says that the Sabbath is on the seventh day…

(ym) Yes, so does mine, My pastor says that it was changed to Sunday at some point by the Catholics and that was ok by God. Anyway ALL the Churches that promote the true & correct Gospel of Salvation by Faith in the Grace of Christ alone hold Sunday as that Significant Day of the week.

    (me) Messianic Jews don’t…

(ym) Yes but they are Jewish, I’m a Christian. I guess they just can’t let go of their Jewishness and be as I am.. a Christian.

(me) Wasn’t it the Catholics went around torturing people to death and murdering people on mass if they refused to convert?

(ym) Ok, Yes they did, but they’ve stopped doing that now, don’t forget they ARE our Christian brothers.

(me) But, what part of the Catholic Gospel is Christian?

(ym) Well… None… But they are Christian all the same, my pastor says so… They worship Jesus… Anyway my pastor says they are Christian and it would be wrong to argue with him. That would cause divisions in the church. Please remember that even if the Catholics don’t, we preach the correct Gospel.

(me) Yes, I do remember that you do preach the correct gospel for salvation.
……..But a little leaven leavens the whole lump.. 1 Corinthians 5:6-8

(ym) What’s that supposed to mean?

(me) It says in Galatians 1:8-9, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (9) As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”…….
……..The Truth is that the Catholics are not nor ever were Christian. They preach a false gospel which does not lead to salvation. The insinuation that the Catholics are or ever were Christian is LEAVEN to your church.

(ym) But my pastor says they are ok, and we and all the other Christian churches (bar the messianic Jews) follow their lead on the Sunday Sabbath. Are you saying that we and our Fathers are all in error?
…..Come on now let’s put these silly ideas behind us, were are having our Easter service soon that will be Good, but not as good as our Christmas one was. Today is the Sabbath let’s stop arguing and go to Church and worship at the foot of the Cross.

(me) I’m sorry I think I’ve got a headache coming on, It was nice seeing you again Jason, but I think that I’ve got to go now.

(ym) how did you know my name? Do I know you? …. Bye!

(me) I knew you many years ago…. you’ll remember me in time…. Bye!

    ………………….

Galatians 5:13-15 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. (14) For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (15) But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

As Always I want to thank you Kent, for strengthening me and my family through your work.
I am/we are very much indebted to you and your ministry.

    Lots of Love

    Jason x

    Brother Hovind It’s been a while …

As usual we all learn something from you that God has lead you to do. Whether in captivity (Daniel 11:33 & Matthew 24) you give UNDERSTANDING to the people (Again … Daniel 11:33)

Brother, I like to send you some information that I think has been used as a wedge … between Hebrews & Christians. I can only compare it to the likes of how the enemy paints feminism to woman in a good light. This is not to be compared to Equal rights which has been on the books for 40 years under bias crime law. Today in the spirit of Change “Hate” is the new name for these laws.

The teaching since Hitlers time has taught that European and Abrahamic Hebrews are one in the same. One stroke with the brush. But, as with every story in this century … you don’t know what to believe … Like the story about you … HA! Dr. Hovind you may have not been martyred but like in Revelation 6:9-10 you will have your reward.

What I like too propose is … rather than write this stuff to you I’ll place it on my “Daniel site” as it may be viewed “controversial” by those who don’t understand TRUTH and live by the standard of tolerance. You and anyone can glean from it there. The site address is: http://web.me.com/yocuzwaasup/Daniel_11_32/Welcome.html

The information will be under the blog section look for the heading, “Khazars, To Be or not to Be … God will answer that question”

  5. Brian says:

Greetings brother Kent: Words cannot express how much your ministry has been a blessing to myself, my wife and sons for the past several years. The Lord has used you greatly in our lives to strengthen our faith and give us an inner confidence. We know of many others here in Australia that have been greatly helped by your ministry. We believe you are a sincere man and it just seems so sad and wrong to imprison someone who only wanted to help peoples’ lives not hurt. Please don’t give up hope nor get bitter – just know that you have impacted many people for good, and strengthened their resolve to spread the Truth. Be assured of our thoughts and prayers for you and your wife. May God comfort you both “in Christ”.
