Evolution, Democrat Party, Stone Age?

Evolution, Democrat Party, Stone Age?

Dear Democrat Spokesman Paul Begala,

A few days ago I happened to catch your comments on CNN and felt the need to write an open letter about my thoughts on what you said.  I hope I have your quote correct or close. The idea is correct, I know.  I believe you said something like, “If you don’t believe in evolution, gravity, photosynthesis or any of the other things Republicans are afraid of, come on over to the Democrat Party.”  You then said that  “The Republicans want to go back to the Dark Ages or all the way back to the Stone Age.”

Although I’m neither a Republican nor a Democrat, my concern is that you would try to include evolution with real observable science like gravity or photosynthesis. The term evolution is confusing and needs defined. There are six different and unrelated meanings, levels, or stages of the word “evolution.” Only one of these words is part of science.

These six definitions  are:
1.    Cosmic Evolution—the origin of time, space, and matter from nothing in the big bang
2.    Chemical Evolution—the origin of all 92 elements from hydrogen
3.    Stellar Evolution—the formation of stars and galaxies from gas clouds
4.    Organic Evolution—the origin of life from non-living chemicals
5.    Macroevolution—the changing of one kind of plant or animal into another kind of plant or animal
6.    Microevolution—changes within the same kind—like wolves, coyotes, and dogs being related to a common ancestor

While everyone would agree that the sixth definition, microevolution, is part of science and can be observed, it is obvious that the first five meanings of the word are not part of real science but rather, are part of a religion. We would all agree that dogs produce a variety of dogs and corn produces a variety of corn types. That is microevolution. Every farmer on planet earth counts on that happening so that he can develop plants or animals that are best suited for his soil or environment. Seeing these variations within the “kind” does not offer evidence that corn and dogs are related. For a plant or animal to produce something other than its “kind” requires a miracle never seen in all of human history.

Anyone is welcome to believe that dogs came from non-dogs long ago and far away if he or she likes—but that is not science. If your use of the word evolution in the above quote is only microevolution, we will all agree. If the Democrat Party’s official position is that all life forms, including man, came from a rock 4.6 billion years ago, it is the Democrats that want to take us back to the Dark Ages and even all the way back to the Stone Age.

If you really welcome in people who believe their great-great-great….grandpa was a rock, which came from a big bang where nothing exploded,… well, it’s no wonder you folks think you can borrow your way out of debt.

I suggest you watch a few minutes of my award winning seminar on www.drdino.com. It’s free, funny, and filled with real science.

    Great point, Bro. Hovind,

The Democrats are the party of the “stone age” because that is what their policies lead to – just go visit the inner city of any major metropolitan area and see how the people live!

The Republicans are not far behind, either. In fact they are worse today than the democrats of 40 years ago.

Evolution is truly as stupid and ignorant a theory as spending your way out of debt is a stupid and ignorant policy.

The one shows a lack of respect for the One who made us and the other shows a lack of respect for those we will “make” (the next generation) through procreation.

Paul Begala is an example of the accuracy of the biblical principle of Romans 2:1.

“Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.”

He accuses the Republicans of wanting to go back to the “Stone Age” when he is the one advocating the very things that will lead a society to mimic the so-called “stone age”.

Keep your chin up, Jesus is coming, and man, is He getting mad!

Dear Brother Kent, over the years I have been critical of Answers in Genesis, later, Creation Ministries International, because they were too cautious with anomalous matierials. I think their ministry should have included more material and offered commentary on a greater range of interests consistent merely with biblical literalism:-

I have cut and paste this directly form their website [and I acknowledge them as the authors of these encouraging words]

    ADDENDUM 2: Posted 6 May 2010

A number of CMI staff have been involved in ongoing discussions over the phone with reliable folk in Hong Kong we have known for years. These are people who have close contact with the team announcing the discovery and vouch for their integrity. .
Indications at present are that the theory that ‘the Chinese team were victims of a hoax’ is getting harder to sustain. In particular, we have had direct assurance that the following pictures posted here below all text are ones taken directly by the team at various times at the site. Also, the discoverers have specifically responded on their website to the email by Dr Randall Price.
While unable to comment with certainty yet about items such as the straw and the cobwebs in some photos, in light of some of the comments circulating, it should be noted that spiders (and their insect prey) exist at even higher altitudes. There are many anecdotal accounts of people going up to something like this over the centuries, in which case straw may be useful for overnight bunking, etc.
Further investigations will likely require, initially, face-to-face inquiries with eyewitnesses, and hands-on inspection of artefacts/samples in Hong Kong. With the gracious consent of the discovery team, CMI has expressed that we are more than willing to cooperate with all relevant players, which will also assist us in being able to offer reliable commentary to our constituency via this page as it is updated.
If such investigations continue to progressively rule out the ‘planted hoax’ theory, then it would appear that a substantial wooden construction exists under the ice at this very high altitude on Greater Mt. Ararat, a construction whose nature is yet to be determined.
Greater Mt. Ararat is a volcano, with much evidence of ancient (hence postFlood) eruptions. So this could well be a memorial erected to the landing (which could have been elsewhere in the region, given that the Bible says “the mountains of Ararat/Urartu” centuries later.) If so, it would still be a major archeological discovery of great interest to creationists in particular.
In summary, at this time we believe, based on those recent discussions, that the evidence as it currently presents itself to us warrants more than just a “wait and see” approach, but a willingness to be involved with the investigation, ensuring that all competing theories are also fairly dealt with. We’ll keep you posted with such updates as soon as significant news is available.

meanwhile: the earthquakes just keep on keeping on. this week there have been at least four magnitude >6 earthquakes around the globe. And personally I believe that this is consistent with Jesus’ words. “As it was in the days of Noah”.

lets “look up”. He said that as well.

    Hi Kent,

A good point well made, although I am a little confused as to when the Stone Age actually took place. But I guess you would ask the same question too :)

One of the things I find myself repeating on this Blog is the fact that I have never found any one person (besides God) with whom I totally agree with. And at times you may have noticed that I will sometimes write in disagreement with you on some point or other.

I would like to say with this thought in mind that I think that have found myself in agreement with you on more points than any other prominent evangelist, or person (besides God) who makes a habit of expressing their own opinions (that is of those few people with whom I have had the pleasure of engaging with).

I also admire your apparent willingness to lay your life and ministry on the line for the sake of your conscience before God.

I was thrilled when I first discovered your work and ministry over the internet, and since then I have never looked back.

With all the Good Honest Work that you have produced, it is not at all surprising to me that the powers that be have tried to shut you and your ministry down.

I’m glad to know your work in the life of me and my family.

    Lots of Love

Evolution bah humbug…. just wondering, if they say a lil water and a lot of time made the grand canyon. Then answer this, why hasn´t every river in the world made a grand canyon? Doesn´t that follow their theory?

    Bob

  7. sgagne says:

    To cash4u:

Who are you referring to when using the word “they”? Evolutionists? If so, this “lil water and a lot of time made the grand canyon” is a common theory that many who believe in evolution hold. In fact, I myself was taught that very theory in elementary school! We have been able, through science and much-improved technology, come to realize that a beautiful creation, such as the Grand Canyon, can be formed much quicker than imagined. One major event that opened the eyes of many scientists and geologists was the eruption of Mt. Saint Helen. Take a look at this great article that helps us understand this: Answers In Genesis

    Hi sgagne,

Yes them mullethead evolutionists thats who I was referring to. Just wondering when are they gonna get a new theory or junp on board Gods greatest gift …Creation

My favorite response when I talk to someone about the Grand Canyon, is that it is carved through a mountain ridge. The Colorado River would have to go uphill, gaining 4,000 feet altitude, to slowly wear away the sandstone to form the canyon.

Also, I’ve read geologists have found two levels of lakes behind the Grand Canyon that cover parts of four states. It wouldn’t take long at all for that amount of water to form the GC once the ridge is breached.

Great comment on why other rivers haven’t formed big canyons, like the Mighty Mississippi dumping 80,000 tons of dirt a day into the Gulf if I have my numbers right.

We pray every day for Kent, for his safety, for the prison and CSE ministry and for his soon release. Part of me wants to say I hope the Lord brings to destruction those people who have violated the law and common human decency in the way they have treated him…and now with the government wanting $971,000 for the property when the “fine” is only $380,000. The greed and corruption in this government is unbelievable. But the other part of me says they need Jesus, too.

I just want to butt in and say that a “thank you Dr. Hovind” is ridiculous! Mr. Hovind sir, your work is beautifully accurate and was a major crowbar in the prying loose of my mind from the hypnotic, zero fact or proof having evolutionist goop that I have been feeding on since I was too young to know or choose what I’ll believe. I had a catholic upbringing so you know the dilemma. I also speak for a handful of people around me. Even after saturating my mind with all of your seminar cds for a year I was still mortified by the depth of the deception. I beg God for your release this year. Beautiful are the feet that preach the gospel. Mr. Hovind, you are our, My hero, hang in there. I hope for your peace of mind you or God find a way to feed the money hungry dogs to forever put them behind.
